Had a great birthday meal here last night. The place is beautiful, the staff, although all very young, were so lovely and polite and efficient and the service was faultless. The food was delicious, I had Scampi for starters and baked salmon for mains, both were fabulous. The fish and chips with tartar sauce was amazing, portion was huge! The two steaks were a little bit on the tough side and slightly overcooked but were nevertheless very tasty. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely go back soon!

A stunning church converted to a restaurant right by the sea. We sat outdoors as the weather was good. The food was amazing and the service was good. Its a very popular place so it was very busy at lunch time when we were there. Be sure to book in advance as not to be disappointed. I really enjoyed the charcuterie board we got as a starter. I had the meat pizza for main course and the eaten mess as dessert! All food was very tasty 🙂👏

Wonderful views from this uniquely located cafe/restaurant overlooking the Ballycotton estuary. The menu is brief, as it should be for lunch and ranges from scones and coffee to fish and chips. We had the fish and chips for lunch and it was perfectly cooked (cod) in a nice batter with crispy chips and mushy peas. The presentation was good with a scattering of pea shoots. The dessert of the day was a wonderful pear and almond tart which was served warm with wonderful vanilla ice cream. The staff were professional and welcoming and the surroundings are wonderful.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and a very warm and welcoming environment. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I hope to return here soon for live music and more great food!

Beautiful setting for this restaurant. The old church is a really pretty events hall and it complimented buy the modern new building behind. The staff were lovely and efficient, and the food was great. We sat outside with views over the bay in the sun. Brill

I visited here on my summer holiday I was so impressed with the location and view, the food was great and the female manager was so nice and friendly to my family, our waiter was so informative and friendly I think his name was Walter, I would definitely recommend sea church to everyone and currently planning my return visit

Looking for somewhere to eat out during COVID is hard. Sea Church was a very enjoyable experience. Outdoor seating with some cover in case it rained, a decent menu, and lovely staff. The food was well presented and tasty, and of course the venue itself is visually stunning.
It was a very pleasant meal. I think to get five out of five for me, the menu could be expanded slightly - while nice food, it felt a bit pedestrian. We also had to ask twice for our drinks at one point and the staff while excellent and attentive seemed a little unorganised.

Stopped for the first time to try out some starters and desserts. Not only they pour a lovely pint of Murphys, food was amazing. Had the Seafood Chowder and baked Goat Cheese tart. Absolutely delicious. We will be back.

Good place to eat. Ski resort vibe with the Christmas decorations. Family friendly with a small bar (really, two). Adjacent decommissioned church holding concerts. Great view of the sea. Delicious fish ‘n chips.

Lovely food and friendly service. However outdoor dining area could be better, more comfortable seating, more atmospheric with a fire/heater like the one for indoor dining. Thanks

Chicken wings were very salty, potatoes in my main course were tasty as well as chicken. The chorizo and tomato combo wasn't the best. It seemed a bit too creamy and even though I loved it after a while it felt heavy in my stomach. My boyfriend enjoyed his meal more than I did. One starter, 2 main courses, one soft drink and one bulmers costed us over €51 euro. 😑

Visited here recently for a concert. Covid certs were checked, but I have to say it was quiet overwhelming being in there. Place was jointed and really really cramped. Venue was nice and pleasant, but knocked a one star just for the fact it was too crowded.

Amazing place with amazing food and service. Will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place.

Just had coffee here. It seemed to be a good busy place and the menu looked good with reasonable prices

We dined on the outdoor terrace, it was very sheltered and there were overhead heaters. It was a very comfortable evening. We were well looked after and the food was top notch. I would definitely recommend it. Friendly staff, great location and nice atmosphere.

A really nicely located place right on the sea front. Genius in way the conversion from church to restaurant. It has worked out very well. Great service and quality food.
M. R.
Beautiful place, reasonably priced and staff very nice. However, we were kept waiting 40 minutes for our meal. The pizza was chewy and almost impossible to cut. The chips were served in a little container but only the ones on the top were edible, the rest underneath were just burnt crispy bits and pieces.

Beautiful, food, location, and design. Overlooks the sea. Car park across the road.

Amazing venue and really good food. Will definitely be back. Ash and team were brilliant

The place is amazing and even allows for doggies outside 🐶
We had a table of 4, they have some vegan options (no vegan dessert though).
Food was absolutely excellent and the portion sizes were fairly big too! Probably one of the best fish and chips I’ve had so far in Ireland, Bray and Wexford being very good contenders.
The only reason this is a 4/5* review is due to the lack of a good selection of desserts. Quite disappointing considering the menu was quite inclusive. Otherwise 10/10 food and service.

Beautiful food, great setting and the staff were fantastic.

Had a family lunch here and it was amazing..the fish was delish and a good portion, the steak sandwich and the chicken salad were full of flavour so enjoyable.the desserts were to die for.my compliments to the chefs and thanks to the lovely staff who served us.Lovely festive decor in a gorgeous setting!

Fresh food. Fair prices. Lovely setting and view. Attentive staff. House wine a bit pricey but good quality. Highly recommend

A lovely modern restaurant within an old church. The staff are first rate and very accommodating and friendly. There are strict rules in place for the corona virus as it should be. Everyone is kept safe within while you are eating. I recommend it. 👌

We have recently visited the Ballycotton area when we stumbled upon this amazing restaurant attached to a beautiful stone church. Open for morning scones and tea or for a mouthwatering evening meal. We were delighted with both the indoor and outdoor sitting area which we visited 3 times whilst in the area on our 4 day vacation. We had a lovely chat with the gentleman at the table beside us just to discover he is the owner, Pearse Fynn. His casual, friendly approach was refreshing and his generosity extended to my family and I were absolutely off the charts! Although this is more of a 'family restaurant' as Mr Fynn stated the atmosphere was warm, elegant and with a cozy fireplace to ward off the cold sea air. The generous portions of the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Chicken wings are enough to tickle anyone's taste buds! We hope to be back some day to try the large variety of dishes on the menu.

Enjoyed a really nice family meal at Sea church Ballycotton.

Went with company of 10 and not one complaint from anyone!! I can’t remember that happening in a long time. Food was great , timing of dishes perfect and staff wonderful

Food was gorgeous, staff were very very helpful and the atmosphere and views are lovely.
Very reasonably priced too.
Very unique place and it is a must visit.

We came here for the ballycotton comedy festival and the church is great for a small intimate gig. We also went to the restaurant and we all liked the food. Great for gluten free food too as some our oarty is a celiac. The was delighted she could have gluten free fish and chips.
J. N.
Food was really nice, well priced. Staff super friendly and attentive! Enjoyed the view of the beach during dinner. Highly recommend

Great food. Friendly staff. Nice views. The kids enjoyed running around the garden. We'll definitely be coming back here again soon. There was some rubbish around the ground and no shelter for us if it had rained, but we still very much enjoyed our visit.
E. M.
Was there to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Beautiful venue, staff were lovely, and the food was divine. I'll definitely be back.
C. K.
Very nice breakfast, will be back to try dinner here

The hero of Ballycotton at half 3 on a Tuesday (because no where else was open). The staff were lovely the chowder and chicken wings were fab. Great place.

Excellent evening meal for my family of 5, lovely food, great service & well looked after by Martin 😊👍👍👍👍
T. K.
Friendly service and staff. An added bonus is the view of Ballycotton Bay, and the nearby Garyvoe. In front of the restaurant there is a large parking space and a playground. One minute drive to the fishing port (you can book a boat trip to the island with a lighthouse tour or go on an interesting trip along the cliffs.

Possibly one of the best meals I've had. Everything from the taste to the presentation was perfect.
H. M.
Just had fish and chips to take away. Probably the best I’ve ever had and the tartare was unbelievably good. The Restaurant itself is beautifully laid out with indoor and outdoor seating. When restrictions are lifted I would love to dine indoors.
J. V. W.
Supporting local businesses that did takeaways during lockdown and as nice as they were, it wasn't quite the same. HOWEVER Sea Church was amazing...even as a takeaway
As we're a big family there were a lot of meals and can honestly say there was not one complaint. Isabella was lovely. Welcoming both on the phone when placing the order and upon arrival to collect. Nothing felt sacrificed due to restrictions. In fact its one of the most 'normal' experiences we have had over the last year.
**Disclaimer-We may have had a delicious cheeky cocktail while waiting for the food but that in no way influenced this review😉**

Fantastic in every way!!! The chowder is the best in cork by miles, Quinlans take notes.

Almost July and yet freezing cold, thanks to our government we could not sit inside but had to sit in a cold breeze under a canopy. Heaters were off except one which was under the open space in the canopy. We asked could they be turned on and 2 staff tried but gave up way too easy saying they will change the gas, which didn't happen. Not very comfortable then as the food got cold quickly. Can't blame the venue really but they could have done more to turn on the heaters. Chicken Supreme I presume should not be hard on the bottom, unable to cut through the crust, way over done I think. It seemed that they were more preoccupied with the wedding that was going on more than the service which was rushed and basic. A nice sunny warm day might be way better but I won't find out as I won't be going back there.

To John and all the team, Thank you so much for hosting and making our wedding day so special. The venue, food and atmosphere were exceptional. But the staff were the stars of the day. They couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Thanks to the chefs for the gorgeous food. Thanks also to you for helping with all the organising and work you put in in the days leading up to our special day. Finbarr and Michelle

Sauces were some of the best I've had, slightly underwhelmed by the rest of the dishes, really good but not great

Just back from Seachurch. Absolutely gorgeous from the staff to the food, saw a one star review just there up further on this. I thought how sad people are. I think this is horrible of a person do this to a business just opened up again. One star actually means the staff were horrible and place was filthy. (which we must have been in different places, the place is spotless and staff very nice) All the young ladies serving were fab and the Thai green curry was amazing. My friend had the burger and loved it. Wishing ye all a happy xmas and hopefully we will be back soon.
E. O.
Really lovely food, however chaotic system for getting a table totally haphazard, might be worth putting in a better system or dedicated person for seating especially on Saturdays.

There are not enough words to describe the emotions one feels when you set foot in the astounding new establishment.
The attention to every detail,
The meticulous interior design,
The incredibly welcoming atmosphere and staff, who cannot do enough to ensure that your experience is entirely memorable.
We had the pleasure of seeing both The Frank and Walters and Lisa Hannigan and both experiences were entirely different but equally wonderful as this venue can adapt seamlessly to host various different music artists and styles.
With the restaurant set to open in early March the sky is the limit.
I cannot recommend Seachurch highly enough you will just have to come to glorious Ballycotton and experience it for yourself.

Doing the cliff walk at Ballycotton left us ravenous and despite it being four in the afternoon Sea Church was open and serving an excellent value for money menu. The food (a spiced beef salad with a good portion of homemade chips) was wonderful and we barely had room for dessert, but having witnessed another guest receiving theirs, a Baileys Roulade was a must. It was without doubt one of the nicest desserts I have tasted in years. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere with the wonderful view and cosy fire was just lovely. Highly recommend it!
