I had the duck (sorry no photos, I was so hungry I had it ate before I remembered) which was fantastic and cooked to perfection. My better half had the hake and was also suitably impressed. They have a great selection of gins as well! Will definitely call again!

Great food, from starters to dessert. Took me a while to pick from the menu as each of the approximately 5 choices per course sounded so delicious! Reasonable prices for very good quality dining! To say their drinks menu is extensive would be an understatement!
Parking to the back limited to maybe 8-10 cars but a good number of spots available along the road.
A. K.Absolutely wonderful little gem of a place to sit and have a grand time. Great food, super lovely staff and intimate ambiance. It’s cosy, with happy tunes in the background while you chat up a good time with good food and drink. Excellent for vegetarians too - I looooved the gnocchi starter they had! But most importantly - their desserts! Omg I loved their desserts! Their profiteroles with chocolate mouse (which they were kind enough to suggest and add on for us) was the perfect combination of light, delicious and immensely satisfying. Then we had the creme brûlée and it was just as good. Perfect way to end the evening. They even have a fancy yummy gluten-free healthy option with avocado and what not!
We got to chatting with the staff on the way out since we’d stayed on till closing, and they were great company while we figured out what next on our drive through town. A great bunch! Truly makes it one of those places you go to for good food and a good time.
S. L.Had such a lovely Sunday lunch here. The outdoor dining is so cozy you can go no matter the weather and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We had the prawn starter and it was fantastic. The jerk chicken and steak couldn't be faulted. The pepper sauce was out of this world! There were so many things on the menu I wanted try, we'll definitely be back again and again.

As a Brazilian myself living in the countryside of Ireland for so long... all I wanted was a bit of music and food that would remind me of home. They definitely deserve 5 stars! Lovely place with great atmosphere. Staff was amazing and made our experience unforgettable. Starters were delicious and main course was very good (I had feijoada and my husband had churrasco). I barely could eat the desert after all of it!

J. B.Wonderful! Seriously, gourmet and so tasty. My husband had the croquettes and spicy rice. I had a special of grilled hake with stewed tomatoes (extremely good!), wilted spinach, mashed potatoes and a wonderful sauce.
The entrance is through an archway, lit with an assortment of chandeliers. There's a lovely patio back there, but it wasn't warm enough in mid September for Al fresco dining

Taste was divine...presentation amazing...and the service outstanding. I had rack of lamb as my main course....I could have died and gone to heaven! Everything about this experience was wonderful.....including the service by Wayne and Grace, the Derry lad, the new girl, and of course Martina and Brian! it won't be our last time here! G. Q.Food is fantastic, started with croquettes which were absolutely delicious and the portion size was good for a started. Followed with a sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly, very juicy. Peppercorn sauce wasn't overbearingly strong which was a huge plus. Finished with profiteroles which was again a perfectly sized portion. At the end of the meal you feel content as opposed to sickly full even if you clear every plate. High enough prices however the quality for what you pay is absolutely there. Staff were fantastic both waitering and bar staff. Would definitely recommend for events such as birthdays as a meal booking.

I. P.Finally got to try No. Three and it didn't disappoint, food was fantastic! The ribeye was one of the best steaks I've had the pleasure of eating. All the dishes and sides we ordered were excellent.
What No. Three does better than nearly every other local restaurant is cater superbly for vegetarians and vegans....their options are brilliant and they actually understand the restrictions of these dietary requirements (for example they have a vegetarian parmesan alternative).

P. S.Stopped off here for Sunday lunch based on the reviews on Google maps. I had the beef and bacon burger with pepper sauce. It was absolutely delicious, the burger was cooked to perfection, the pepper sauce was amazing, so peppery it left my lips burning and the crispy onions topped off one of the best meals I've had in Ireland. The staff are friendly, efficient and very welcoming. I will be returning here and highly recommend it.
E.We had wonderful food and drinks. The waiter chatted to us as if we were locals and not just tourists passing through. Very friendly atmosphere and comfortable environment. Free parking was handy too.

The menu selections, the combinations, the flavours, the portions they're all just Perfect, mouth watering.. The premises outside is not eye catching & there's not a huge amount of parking, but it's very quirky & comfortable inside. The staff are very friendly, welcoming & attentive, there's a nice atmosphere. Their food speaks for itself & let's face it, that's what it's all about, well worth a visit... We even received discounted prices for going early in the week (on certain nights) & they also had a two for one offer on certain cocktails (ring & enquire). I would definitely highly recommend.
o. m.Myself and my family (4 in total) pre-booked a table at “No 3 Old Bar and Restaurant”,on Easter Sunday at 5.00pm. We arrived around a half hour earlier and there was no problem being seated. We were informed by a very pleasant young lady that the Al a Carte would commence at 5.00 and she would take our order at 4.50 or so. We ordered a couple of drinks and then examined the menu.
The menu is very extensive and covers all tastes. The owners are Wayne and Martina (Mother and Son enterprise). Wayne is a Vegan whereas Martina is not. I say this because the menu covers all options and the Vegan elements are extensive, unlike most other restaurants which provide only a spattering of Vegan tastes.
We ordered both meat and fish dishes as I myself do not eat red meat. We also tried a few Vegan dishes in small portions. Everything we ate was delicious. The Steak that my husband ordered was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My prawn dish with pasta was beautiful. Both my kids’ dinners, which were very good portion sizes, were devoured and we both agreed that the vegan dishes that we tried were lovely.
There are 2 things that stand out in this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service provided by all of the staff on that day was second to none. My husband has worked in the restaurant and bar industry for many years and both he and I agreed that this restaurant was as near to perfect that we had encountered in some time. We spoke with both the owners at different times (they both work the bar, kitchen and floor) and they are both friendly, ordinary and hand-working individuals. It is really nice to see a family run business where the owners are doing the same type of work that their staff are expected to do and enjoying it at the same time.
I cannot recommend enough, that a visit to this establishment is a must. Even the décor, lighting and seating arrangements are lovely. I did notice that there was an extensive array of cocktails on offer and the bar was very busy with cocktails when we were leaving. Wayne informed us that there are Themed nights every week (I think on Fridays) with additional menus on those nights to try something different along with the regular menus also available. Loved this restaurant.

B. S.One of the best places for fine dining. It is well worth to consider making a trip from Dublin. Easily accessible from M1. The restaurant has a huge choice of wine and incredible cocktails. Malteser cocktail is probably the best I had so far. It's such a unique place with great atmosphere.

C. P.Only 10 mins up the road from Slane lies this little gem of a restaurant. It is Mother and Son owned and run, and the sons vegetarian influence is plain to see on the menu. When normally one would see just one vegetarian starter and one vegetarian main, there are two or three of each. And that's not to say us carnivores are neglected, because we're not. Their pork and beef burger is amazing, the mussels starter is divine and their homemade cocktails are amazing. We lived the Slane Whiskey and Raspberry and their dessert cocktails are fabulous.

a. b.What a Fantastic restaurant, from the min we walked in there was a warm welcome from the staff & we took a seat at the fabulous bar they have & what can I say only the cocktails where so nice, we ordered our meal at the bar and sat there till our food was ready and then we where taken to our table, the food was fantastic & the service, after our meal we went back down to relax at the bar and try some more cocktails much to our delight they all taste great 😊, the guy that owns the restaurant made it his business to come and chat with us and the staff the same, so what can we say only we would really recommend a visit to this place as we will return im sure on many occasions 10/10

Despite our neglected appearance (day spent on the beach) there were no crooked looks, neither from the staff nor from the other guests.

Auf unserem Roadtrip sind wir hier gelandet, in der Annahme, in einen kleinen Dorfpub einzukehren.
Weit gefehlt. Gehobene Klasse, vorzügliche Speisen zum angemessenem Preis.
Trotz unseres verwahrlosten Aussehens (Tag am Strand verbracht) gab es keine schiefen Blicke, weder vom Personal noch von den anderen Gästen.
Wurden sehr zuvorkommend bedient und fühlten uns wirklich willkommen.
