Dear Stan, Thanks a million for your great personality and absolutely the most delicious food we have had here on our Ireland vacation. The poultry was incredibly deliciously prepared. The restaurant was easy to find with navigation. We wish you only the best and will be very happy to recommend you.

Myself and 5 friends had the most delicious meal here last evening. All prepared and cooked by Stan. We felt like we were in a friend's house. We had our own dining room. 2 of us had fillet steak, cooked to perfection. 2 had duo of fish, and 2 had mushroom and scollop risotto. Every mouthfull was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Stan helped us select the French wine, Red and white. Both were the perfect accompliment to our meal. Stan is a passionate French chef, he couldn't have looked after us any better. Thank you. Can't wait to return.

Our experience here was super. On our arrival we were welcomed by name and brought to our table ...our friendy host offered to set a table up on the grass! we were delighted ..our wine arrived promptly and we ordered our food. Steaks were cooked to perfection and we thoroughly enjoyed them. An all round great experience,dining alfresco,good food,and very nice host. I can most definitely recommend the world gate restaurant and look forward to our next visit.

Bravo for struggling on in such trying times. Ate delicious pates followed by duck in cider and veal stew with beautiful French style flavouring. Seating is outside in marquee at the moment. Please support this fabulous authentic French cuisine.

We ate here 2 weeks ago and was looking so forward to it, we arrived abit early which I think wasn't a problem but it seemed the chef was a bit flustered, we were shown our table and it went a little crazy from there, I'm sorry to say but there was no menus well there were but not the right ones, the cutlery were dirty, it was suppose to be a nice romantic night but it was more like a falwty towers night, the food was nice but my fish was a little bit dry waiting on the hotplate and some was stuck to the plate, I know its hard times with covid and no staff and tough for restaurants and hotels but this restaurant could be amazing as it has a great chef but not being able to do what he does best, and maybe an update on the exterior and interior and I would like to come back,

5 star all round. Very happy customer my family and myself just love Thomas's cooking master chief. Over the lockdown we have a had our fair share of takeaways we can't get enough fantastic food. My number one takeaway for nice weekday or weekends in the comfort of your own home. His cooking has really lightened up my taste buds please stay in Ireland 🇮🇪 My experience in the restaurant was exceptional and customer service 5 star. Staff very friendly and professional, great atmosphere , food is extremely tasty out of this world if I do say. I ever tasted anything like it the beautiful flavours complement each other. The wine is also excellent too!!

An absolute culinary delight. We had take away last night and every course was delicious and beautifully prepared. The salmon terrine and scallops for starters were excellent but the highlight was the most succulent monkfish I have ever had, in an incredible sauce. The cheesecake and cheese plate were also fabulous. Generous portions, instructions for reheating.....couldn't recommend highly enough. Treat yourself.

I recently visited the newly opened World Gate Restaurant and I will most definitely be back. The standard of food is amazing, Chef Tomas is highly skilled with his combination of flavours along with the beautiful presentation, it truly is a wonderful French dining experience. All of the food is sourced locally and is so fresh. The scallops were the nicest I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with head waiter Brendan ensuring we were looked after very well. Stan also gave us a warm welcome on arrival and showed us to our table, presenting the menus and specials to us. The World Gate restaurant offers something different to the Termonfeckin / Drogheda area , providing excellent quality French cuisine in a warm and homely atmosphere. I cannot wait come back again.

I would have liked my coffee to be hotter the gentleman had no problem heating it up for me, but then I only got half a cup back. Having said that it was lovely being able to have a coffee even if it was cool & cup not full.

Amazing food!! We have eaten here multiple times and each is better than the last. The portion sizes are so generous and the food is absolutely exquisite. Chef Thomas' attention to detail is wonderful and even something like salad is transformed into an experience. I cannot say enough how much I love this restaurant!

This restauant suggests top class food however it was disappointing. The chef comes to the table and tells of his experience and what he has done to create the dishes. This is nice in fairness so why were they so average. There was nothing wrong with the food and service staff were excellent but it was not top class food. The World Gate was good but not good enough - not World Class not even at the Gate of World Class

The food was exquisite! We adored the pork cheeks although the monkfish entree was also wonderful. The starters we chose were black pudding and scallops- both magnifique! We enjoyed a bountiful, expertly prepared takeaway. There were berries and edible flowers to enhance the takeaway presentation. The sauces were amazing! I felt like I was back in France, dining at a Michelin restaurant. Thomas is a chef without equal. Stan is easy to reach and made the transaction seamless. I definitely will be back for more, encore, encore!

It was absolutely a GASTRONOMIC ecstasy, especially if we consider it was a take away food. It was beyond doubt one of the most impressive dishes we have been fortunate enough to indulge in recently. The salmon terrine and scallops for starter was absolutely magnificent. For the main we had special of the week - stuffed, boneless quails that was unbelievably soft with tender lightly sweet mushroom souse. Just an alchemy in the mouth. Delicious and tender monkfish. And desserts were also fabulous. Real jam! On top of all we found a little complimentary treat along with our order such as macaroons and prawn cocktail. Exceptional meal and service provided by chef Tomas would definitely make us come back soon to have proper in-house experience when all restriction from Covid19 lifted. Highly recommend this restaurant for food lovers!

We ordered a delicious Sunday lunch for take-away. All three courses were beautifully presented and tasted delicious.This is a brilliant local service. The star of the meal was the lobster special, and the rib eye beef to share.

During ‘lockdown’ we ordered from the take away menu. (Our first visit) 2 quiche ( Lorraine / salmon and goats cheese) and a ham and cheese filled croissant for a Saturday lunch in the garden. When we arrived to pick up we had kindly been given a mixed salad and some other treats to go with it. It all smelt delicious and was beautifully packaged and presented Once home and we unpacked the order we were amazed at the portion size and the extras that had been given . It was a feast! So much so we felt it would be rude not to open a bottle of wine. We all ( 2 adults 2 children aged 5&8) throughly enjoyed all the dishes and they was even some left for supper. My son has already asked if we can have the same again! The flavours , care and pride taken was evident. The service was excellent and we will certainly be ordering again this week! That was two weeks ago and we have been back twice since . Once more for lunch and once for dinner. Consistently outstanding! We are looking forward to having a sit down meal once Covid19 restrictions have been lifted.

We went there with a few colleagues. The restaurant is in a quiet area and the dining room offer a nice atmosphere, its staff is very welcoming. The chef Thomas was very happy to describe the specials of the week, and you can see that the product are selected and prepared with great care. Definitely recommended.

Had a Dinner last Wednesday, what a Treat it was! Chef Thomas brought out a steak to show before turning it onto a delicacy! My Pork Cheeks were salted so perfectly to the last grain, pharmaceutical accuracy, I doubt I had it better anywhere, so tender. Thomas is a Master, making it a fine dining experience, so much more than a meal, with Stan the owner checking on us every now and then, impeccable service. Top Notch, definitely recommend! Highly recommend World Gate Restaurant in Termonfeckin. Its very rare to get such gourmet food that's available as take away. Extremely generous portions and Thomas regularly gifts extra delicacies along with your order like prawn cocktail or macaroons. The vegetarian options are excellent; vegetable roulade, beetroot burgers especially good. Looking forward to returning!

This is an amazing new French restaurant! I got the special "bisque with scallops" that was gorgeous and new to me.! My boyfriend got an aged steak absolutely devine! Nothing to compare around he said... He got a great chiraz wine (French of course) And we finished with 1 creme brule and 1 special (milefeuille I think.) This experience was fantastic. And I m gonna to bring my best friends for a party there next month... Worthy!!!
