A. D.Bao and dumpling are very good.
The duck bao is favourable but small of a portion for paying 7 euro.
The dumplings came with a vinegar, soya sauce dip which was quite nasty.
A bit out of the way but worth a try!

J. H.Great dinner. The chicken fire noodles say "Extremely Spicy" for a reason. We had 2 cokes and 2 waters and still had to get ice cream afterwards but worth it. They were great as was the bao buns and gyoza. The owner was very gracious and warned us how spicy the noodles were before letting us order them. Definitely recommend 😁

I got the temple bao and the garden gyoza. The bao bun was loaded with pickled veggies, massive pieces of tofu and a coated in a delicious sauce. Really tasty! The garden gyoza was filled with veggies, steamed then fried so the bottom had a bit of crunch. Both were nice, worth going if your in the area especially for the bao bun.

A. S.Large portion of rice bowl. I'm glad I'm here. The pork belly can be more melting, but this is already very nice. Overall it's a good value of money. Show your student card and get 10% discount. Oh, and the staffs are super friendly and helpful.

N. T.Bao House is a lovely place with great food! I myself am a very picky eater, and I hate at least half of the things served in the rice bowl.
But MIX IT UP, AND EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!! Food here really is great, and whenever I visit I think the portions are small, yet I always end up being bursting full with about 3 bites left (but I always finish the bowl, because its worth it!)
Staff are absolutely friendly and nice, and coming here feels so nice, like a reminder of home. Thanks from a Malaysian-Chinese!
A. M.Friendly service from the cashier. Quick service for our food. I ordered the rice bowl meal deal for around 10 euros - the chicken rice bowl and kimchi salad were fresh and delicious. My other half had the duck bao and loved it too. We’d definitely go back.
f.The lady who works there was very nice. She is very genuine and I liked her (she is usually working on Saturdays). The food is good I like the bao. I do think their exterior should be changed though in order for more people to come in. It’s a good spot but I think it should be more modern and clean looking to appeal the younger people.

L. F.Had a halloumi burger - absolutely delicious. Really fresh produce here. Also had the fries with cheese curd and gravy. All that was missing were the dirty pints beforehand. Perfect for quick snack on the go or lunch break. Would highly recommend. Nice customer service also.

S. J.I didn't have much expectations when I tried this place when it opened. It is actually quite good, especially the pork! The sauce is a little salty (but not saltier than the norm at restaurants in Dublin) but for the most part, I would def go again when I miss my Asian food from southern California. Also would recommend getting at least 2 per person.

The selection of gyoza are all amazing, and so fresh. The bao are light and fluffy and the fillings are all so tasty.

We decided to eat in as Bao tend to be best fresh, unfortunately these were prepared a bit in advance with the final pieces made up at the end - this meant that the Bao were completely stuck to the trays. Ripped Bao isn't ideal!
The fillings generally were pretty tasty, some had too much liquid which made the Bao soggy buy mostly they were good.
The homemade lemonade was great.
Be aware that the place is cash only.
It isn't really a restaurant, I'd say a pretty good take away. A little disappointed as we wanted to eat in with super fresh Bao, oh well!

Two buns per person is plenty to fill you - 4 buns will set you back 25 euro though.

L. B.What a place! The staff were super friendly, and I love the vibe. The name of the restaurant is a pun, which immediately drew me in. My partner had the pork belly bao, and I had the grilled chicken rice bowl. Seriously the best grilled chicken I've had in Dublin, and the perfectly poached eggs in the rice bowl just finished it off beautifully.

Loved the ingredients especially because it's "free of" almost anything but don't understand why it was so sugary, that's really not necessary and difficult for someone who is trying to eat accordingly with their dietary restrictions but also wants to avoid heaps of sugar in their diet. It could be less sweet and still tasty. This is by no means a dining place, more casual/take away style even though you can sit down. The door was open the entire time so it got quite cold.
N. H.Nice little spot. Service was good and food came out quickly. The Baos were pillowy and light and the fillings were flavourful and substantial. The only slight downside was the excessive oil the one Bao. As they are quite messy, it might have been handier if they were served on a plate or bigger dish when sitting down.
W. L.I cam to Bao Bun with only a card on the day that their card machine was broken, as I was told by somebody on the phone that would be OK. While I was very happy to leave empty-handed, the manager there insisted it was their mistake and gave me a free meal.
I offered to write a positive review in exchange but she asked that I only write a review after I tried the food. I did and it was the best Bao I've had in ages. I will be returning tonight, with cash this time :)
M. Z. Z.The pork Bao was lovely. Extremely tender, well seasoned meet. The duck one was way to greasy even though I usually enjoy fair amount of duck fat in my dish this definitely has been too much. For those two things I’d give this place 4 stars. 3 stars for the cleanliness... or lack of it to be precise.
