This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about. Food is soooo good, some Moroccan classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

Great restaurant. They have less variety but the food we ordered was delicious. lamb or chicken tajne were good. the meat was juicy and flavourful. Overall we had a good experience.
R. K.
Real Moroccan cuisine, tajin, couscous and more. Staff very nice and helpful. Romantic atmosphere, choice of wine (unfortunately Moroccan wine and beer not available). We can recommend one of the best soup Harira - better than we tried in Morocco- Chicken Tajin and Chicken Bastille (sweet and spicy chicken with almond wrapped in pastry). All starters absolutely fantastic. 5* !!!

Amazing food !! The couscous it's the best one I ever tried!!! I will super recommend and I think I will be back multiple times. Owner and waitress so nice and kindly.

Delicious food and very friendly, easy going staff. Felt like I was back in Morocco.

Wow, what a gem! If you're looking for an authentic, home-cooked meal, look no further! I've always wanted to come here and for some reason never made it... until I did! They have varied starter options, plenty of which are vegetarian. We ended up sampling a bunch of these, all of which were extremely tasty! However, there are plenty of mains to choose from, ensuring you will be well fed if you so desire! I will definitely go back, especially since the mood is very relaxed and romantic, with authentic, chilled-out music, incense, and candles!

Amazing food and atmosphere, you will enjoy your time served by nice people

Unbelievable food! Extremely accomodating given we had no booking. 💯 Will be back

Most authentic and amazing Moroccan food in dublin! Great service will be back again

First time here with a group of friends. The restaurant is actually located on Clarendon Street at the corner of Wicklow Street. You access by stairs upward so you must be mobile. We were in a dining room that was like a Moroccan Tent, soft Moroccan music playing in the background so there was a nice ambiance. It was a bit chilly so a cardigan or shawl would be a good idea. I can't remember the names of the dishes, with that said I can tell you there weren't any leftovers & there were 12 of us. The food was so tasty, the seasoning was magic & I though reasonably priced for the quality & quantity. I had a lamb dish with potatoes & it was amazing. Several in the group had dessert & I must admit I was tempted as they looked YUMMY & again zero leftovers. I don't know if they serve alcohol, we had tea & coffee both of which were very good. I will be returning.
Easy location by Luas, bus or on foot. Reservations would be a good idea.....ENJOY...

Visiting Ireland for almost a week now. Had amazing meals at top notch restaurants, but this has been the best so far. The spinach appetizer was wonderful. The Lamb amazing. And great service and Moroccan white wine too.

The best restaurant I've been, what these guys have done for me thruout years is unrel and i mean it I'm this restaurant since 2001.my birthdays ,my engagement.love you guys
D. A.
Probably my favourite restaurant in Dublin! Staff is very friendly, all of the food is delicious, authentic, and very reasonably priced.
The dining area is cozy and comfortable, although it can be a bit loud if you go when it's busy. Even then, it's worth it.
Make sure you try the mint tea (with a healthy bit of sugar) and the Lissan (cow's tongue) - I promise you won't be disappointed!
F. A.
The food was ok, it's nice to have Moroccan food in Dublin.
S. Z.
Authentic food, traditional cuisine and you can even try Moroccan vine. Did Enjoy the tagine very much. Very friendly staff
N. A. D.
I had a delicious lamb with fig and dates dish. Food was gorgeous, waiter was a touch unfriendly like he was stressed by something. Was nice in the end. We had a good time. In the end the no 1 thing in a restaurant is the food and they have it

I really love Moroccan food. I have visited couple Moroccan restaurants and this is the only Moroccan restaurant that serves warm bread so far. I tried monkfish as the owner suggested. It was excellent and the fish was fresh. The mint tea was freshly brewed. Overall, great restaurant for Moroccan food with superb service and a nice ambience. I would definitely visit again on my next visit in Dublin. :)

A little gem ,although rather hidden away on an upper floor, it's very much worth visiting. We didn't book but luckily got the last table, the interior has a comfortable exotic feel and , the sights and sounds of sizzling colourful tagines added to our anticipation...
The food was genuinely superb, if you haven't experienced Morocco food of this high quality then you are missing out !! Wonderful complex spicy flavours with hints of citrus. I'm not normally a fan of vegetable dishes but these were delicious and I must give the mussels a special mention. Don't hesitate. ..this place is top notch.
S. G.
Has a really authentic feel once inside. Easy to miss the small entrance, but if you don't you'll be pleasantly surprised. Nice staff, interesting menu. I'd recommend that you get the lamb in fig sauce (has a name but cant remember for the life of me). Nice house wine too

The has restaurant has typical Moroccan decor and makes for a very suggestive place to dine. Unfortunately it's located on the first floor of an old building and the only access is a very narrow and steep stair, so keep it in mind if you have mobility issues. The menu is fairly big and has several dishes of the Morocco's cuisine plus the wines list. We tried cous cous and it was very good. Everything is served in typical ceramic dishes to add to the atmosphere. Usual prices for the area. Recommend it.

A favourite place for us. Food is consistently delicious, wholesome and homely. For groups of 8 or more, look for a bookings in one of their larger rooms (these are dressed up like the interior of a nomadic tent). Great place to relax with friends.

food is sooo tasty and good prices. music great. I was there on my birthday in November 2016 and I was so impressed by waiter Joussef. the way he treat customers was faboulous. after that I was there mayby 6 times and even yesterday and I'm coming to restaurant only when he serve because for me he is the best waiter in the world! and I'm honest now. gennerally the place is magic
once you try their harira soup or tajin or sweets you will want come back and my favourite Marocco tea which Joussef serve very special way every customer which I saw today was enjoy I saw their faces. this Thursday was there so busy and I saw party and I heard people enjoyed soo much. every person who im bring there is happy about special about harira but today my friend loved the food aswell even she got difrent dish. fully reccomend.
Came here at 23rd of December 2020. Crazy covidtimes but i missed this place so much. Im oregnant now so after baby is born could be difficult bisit so wanted see it once again. Alone no problem. Boss remember me fromfew years ago. I took of course harira soup, mint tea, got water, music lovely. Im here niw 7pm waiting for one of the best dish i remember bizbib cuscous lamb with couscus and sultana and more. Bit sweet but AWESOME DISH. Its my favourite restaurant in all world i think 🤪🤪🤪

Highly recommended. Lovely food and quiet atmosphere in the heart of Dublin. I had the best lamb dish I ve ever tried.

Really great Moroccan food here. Although the outside of the restaurant isn't very inviting, it's a very cosy restaurant with a nice looking Moroccan interior. You get some great tasting olives for free when you come in and I recommend the Zaaluk as a starter, it's very tasty. The lamb Tajines are divine, really nicely spiced and great with some couscous on the side. Staff is very friendly and hospitable. The service was good, but could be a little bit better. It took a bit too long to order drinks and to get the bill. The pittas are a bit too bland to my taste and the couscous on the side is not too bad, but a bit boring and slightly dry. But these are minor details and the overall dining experience was great. Recommended if you like Moroccan food.

Memorable meal for our last night in Dublin. We,each had a different lamb tangine and they were both fabulous. Appetizers of eggplant and another of grilled sardines l, a shared side salad, and amazing special dessert with mint tea and spiced coffee made for a feast. Warm hospitality and good wine make this a compelling choice.
R. B.
Great little Moroccan place, you have a better choice on the menu if you are a meat eater as the veggie dishes weren't that many. But i had the aubergine one and it was very good.
R. D.
I went to El Bahia for a dinner with some friends. Food was very nice, I really loved it! I took cous cous and my boyfriend took the meat balls and I have to say we really liked them.
Though, the restaurant is small and dark and the toilets were really dirty. There wasn't even water coming out from the sink to wash my hands.
Too bad. They should improve it, because food was lovely!
E. D.
Ask them about their chocolate cake and hope they have it, because if they do, it is most likely to die for. I like the interior and the fact that if you come with a group you can book a tent room for some privacy. They used to do belly dance shows (free of charge) on Saturday evenings but I am not sure if this is still on. I am marking it 4 stars as food goes from great to ok but have I mentiones the chocolate cake yet?...
G. D.
Very nice Moroccan restaurant, couscous is delicious 😋
2 three course with a bottle of wine for 35 each, which is a very good price in Dublin.
Good caring staff as well.
Highly recommended.

The best meal I have had in years, beautiful food, the staff really make you feel special .. all around 6 star experience..
g. s.
I was totally alone in the restaurant, yet my food took quite long time to make. l could understand it, unless my main course, a delicate dish of pastry filled with meat, very well seasoned, which tasted very good, Was clearly heated by microwave, which ruined its texture - and it's a shame, because if it wasn't, it would be an excellent dish.
L. r.
Absolutely delightful, unique and really delicious food. A bit of a crowded feeling when full and look at the pricing carefully. Give it a try when looking for something a bit more special than pub food.
R. D.
The food is absolutely amazing!!! The staff are so nice and friendly. The decor is fab. Overall a fantastic night out.
A. M.
We went here as a couple on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent, atmosphere relaxed and intimate and the servers were friendly and helpful.
I can imagine that this place must be really busy on a Friday/Saturday but it was quiet on the Sunday we went. If you're looking for somewhere to spend a couple of quiet hours together away from everything then consider this place.

Good food and good ambience. Must try place for Mediterranean food lovers
D. F.
Was there only once on a group booking and it was fantastic. They put us in a room that resembled a tent so the feeling was great. The food of course was very good too so overall the experience was one to repeat!

El Bahia is a little gem in the heart of Dublin. For those who crave authentic world cuisine, this is a place to go. Having lived in huge cities around the world, before relocating to Dublin, we were finally becoming used to the 'Irish' version of many types of cuisine (chinese, mexican, italian, french, thai etc). It was a great treat to find that El Bahia was truly authentic. Each dish is a taste sensation, and while portions are small, they completely satisfy. The dishes must be savoured slowly to experience the wonderful combinations of spices and vegetables. The eggplant dishes are fantastic, both the Danjal and the Zaaluk and the lamb Tagine was perfectly cooked by an expert chef. It is an art form to create a beautiful tagine, as my partner ( works in the food industry) explained: once the tagine is assembled, one must never open it up until cooked. It takes great skill and finesse. The prawn dish was very generous and another taste delight. The flatbread is perfectly cooked but the portion rather small as we wanted to scoop up all the juices from the tagine after the mezzas. Prices are competitive for Dublin, but worth it for food that is memorable, unique and leave you wanting to get the recipes.
R. B.
Wonderful evening - friendly waitress, amazing food and some live music... all that on a Sunday evening. The couscous chicken was so soft it almost fell apart. Would definitely go back!
W. C.
The food was amazing , simple yet very tasty menu , friendly staff and very cozy stablishment

Food tastes very good and authentic, the service is excellent and the place is cosy and "maroccan-style". I found it very relaxing.
Furthermore, the restaurant is conveniently located in the city center and it's easy to find after a day spent shopping :)
H. P. V.
El bahia Restaurant is in Dublin 2 (in one of the best parts in Dublin), right behind Brown Thomas (one of the most expensive shopping centres in Ireland). The restaurant has a huges sellections of tajins, Casablanca Tajine, Marrakech Tajine, Essaouira Tajine, Assila Tajine. But for me, I will advice future customers to go for Marrakech Tajine.

A splendidly furnished, cosy restaurant hidden in Dublin but for its signature brass door and red awning. Excellent food, top quality service. I would highly recommend.
D. R.
Good traditionnal marocan food.
A bit to expensive when you know the cost of the product (in France is twice less expensive) but the quality is here.
Nice and warm atmosphere

Tasty food, but the chef uses a LOT of oil, and it was a bit too rich for me. Only one waitress attending and she forgot a portion of pittas and our drinks

G. B.
Lovely food. You may have to wait a while for your food, but they tell you that on the menu -- tagines take a while to cook. But it's well worth the wait!

Ah the bastilla. This is a nice restaurant, the food is authentic and flavourful, and the atmosphere is just enough to make you feel in an ethnic restaurant, but not too much to be tacky.
J. B.
Delicious food and great decor but waitor too distracted chatting to friend to give dessert menu and sugar for coffee.

Quite tasty food but a bit too pricey for such portion. And the biggest minus goes to 'very friendly' waiter...

Great food but in winter the place is freezing. Not their fault. Just can't heat the old building

Tagine!!! A piece of Morocco right in the middle of Dublin. Be sure to make reservations though, space is quite limited.

The environment is nice, since the entrance at ground floor the stairs and the rooms are all adorned in Moroccan style. The waiters seemed nice too. This is a place we surely recommend.
