I had dinner here with 5 of my friends on the 25/10 and the accommodation was flawless. The food was absolutely immaculate and superbly delicious. The service was just as good to compliment the food and creates a phenomenal overall experience at the restaurant. You do not have to have a previous taste for Japanese cuisine, you will find the food delectable nonetheless, my recommendation being the chilli chicken ramen. The restaurant itself was stunning and looked very nice, especially with the view of the street from the window and the decorations inside. You feel right at home in the restaurant with the jazz music, the seating and the very nice and hospitable staff, including the manager who is hilarious. There was a mistake with the change when paying on my side but the manager was nice and professional with the situation. We all had a great and enjoyable time and hopefully will come back here again many times in the future! 🍜🍣🔥

Very friendly staff, good service, a little pricey but reasonable. The only reason it got 4 stars is that we still haven't found that elusive ramen broth taste that we were used to back in Asia. This is not saying that food wasn't good. On the contrary, food was good and well-portioned too.

When I moved to Dublin from the U.S. two years ago, Fujiyama was the first place that made me feel comfortable and quickly became my 'go to' place. I've been here to celebrate birthdays, go on dates, study, etc - and always received first-class service and delicious food. I am so happy Fujiyama reopened again! The food still tastes amazing and the hospitality is first-rate. This time, I ordered the Seafood Yakisoba and my boyfriend got the Beef Teriyaki. Both were delicious! Excellent flavors, lots of meat, and large portions. We also each ordered Kirin beers, which were on special (2 for €8.00). I would %100 recommend this place to anyone! It has a great view over O'Connell Street, can accommodate big parties, has consistently great food, and the staff is always friendly and polite!

This is a great place to enjoy good Japanese cusine. All ingredients are fresh and prepared in a professional way. Even when it is crowded, the noise level is low. In general, a very nice atmosphere. Wait times for the food was quite long. But that is the only reason for not giving 5 stars.

Very good service and amazing food with BIG portions. My plate was an explosion of colour and flavours. Loved every bite. The surprising thing was: even though it was a very big portion, I didn't feel overwhelmed and I could walk just fine afterwards (usually I can't after a lot of food haha). The prices are decent as well. Perfect location right in the centre, with a great view from the windows. The decor of the place was lovely too. Definitely coming back every time I come to Dublin next. Pleasantly surprised.

Definitely excellent! No waiting when you get in, they will immediately come and ask for your orders which won't take much to get on your table. This place is centrally located on O'Connell St. It is clearly marked outside although it is up a flight of stairs. It is a small establishment but well worth giving a try. I'd been craving some spicy food for the last couple of weeks so I ordered the Chili Beef Udon Noodle Soup. You can get it with Remen or Udon Noodles and beef or chicken. It was spicy and delicious, I loved every bite I could eat. It was so big I asked my wife to help me eat it after she was done with her sushi and we still couldn't finish the whole thing. The Sushi was delicious as well so give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. They like other establishments in the area take reservations so if you have a group give them a call.

Cute tucked-away location above the fuss of O'Connell St. Food is superb and there's always something good on for daily lunch specials. I haven't thoroughly sampled their drinks yet but the selection seems good. Staff are always delightful and accomodating.

Always get fantastic food here and always seems super fresh. The service is friendly and it's a cosy venue. My only flaws with the place is that for someone of my height (6' 3"), I have to be super cautious about banging my head, and the mens toilet could definitely use a new seat. In my previous visit there were seven of us and they had no problem seating us all. They unfortunately got an order wrong of my of my friends which delayed us a little but served complementary soup as he waited for his dish. In terms of service like I said above they are super friendly and they seated us straight away and brought us our menu. They unfortunately gave us a little too much time to make our orders in my opinion. But that might be a good thing for some people as it's a large menu and if it's your first time it can be daunting. We tried to split the bill at the end but ended up very awkward so one person ended up paying it all. I would reccomend keeping track of what you order in case something like that happens. Finally though is the price. To some it might seem expensive but I'm my opinion it's pretty great value. The portions are massive if you order any noodle, ramen or rice dish and the set sushi box is pretty good value if you don't mind too much what you get. I don't think you'll leave feeling hungry at least. The drinks price wise are what you expect from most food places. Overall it's still one of my favourite places to eat and for me no trip to Dublin is complete without eating here. I can't rate it 5 stars because of a few details but it's very close. I recommend you give this place a try.

This is my second visit to this wonderful resteraunt. The food itself is of outstanding quality made of excellent ingredients. However, the defining feature of Fujiyama is it's staff. They are extremely accommodating, friendly and kind. All I can really say, is go and see for yourself... You will not be disappointed.

Good value for its location and quality of food. They have byob with €5 corkage and a full licence. I had the miso soup with the large sushi set. Wasabi and ginger come with the sushi so no need to order them as sides. Get a window seat and you can watch life unfold on O'Connell Street below. I would definitely go back again.

Lovely food. You get Japanese culture here as well as food. I ordered their gyoza. Delicious. Also chicken teriyaki. Very well cooked, would recommend the food to anyone. The waitress was very efficient and made sure we were served. Lost one star, why? I didn't know but I developed a pain in my neck. It turned out the window was slightly open and I was placed in a draught. I only copped on to the window being open just as I was about to leave. So here is a tip for the staff. If the window is open and the customers would be placed in a draught, make sure to place them elsewhere if the window has to be open for ventilation. The pain I got was pretty bad, as typical for a draught pain. (I was placed by the back in the corner by the window) luckily the pain went the next morning. The next thing is a cultural thing. It is a Japanese restaurant with Japanese/Asian staff. My friend is well versed in Asian cultures so he explained to me what was happening. When I went to pay the bill, the man kept on tapping his finger on the price indicated on the bill. I got annoyed by this as he didn't stop. Most people here don't do that, they just give you the bill and you pay the price as indicated. The tapping on the price is apparently normal in Asian countries according to my friend. Just bear in mind that it may come across as rude to customers not accustomed to this practice, as if you were 'shouting' at them in a silent way to 'pay up and get out'. This may not have been the manager's intention according to my friend. Having said all that, I would recommend the restaurant to anyone. Delicious food.

Have been going here for the past few years and food stays good. Sushi is also very, very good. Unfortunately they no longer have the curry ramen but the chicken katsu curry is a good alternative.

Quiet Japanese restaurant in the middle of O'Connell street. I went here for dinner on a Friday night and it was great to be in a quiet place on a busy day with a great view. I tried the Jo Moriawase for first time and it wasn't that interesting but still tasty. I got the Tappan chicken teriyaki that was really nice and very filling (duck is as good as well). Staffs are super polite and friendly. Recommended place.

I'm a regular on this restaurant, Im not a critic and I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I always order the list of food below and would recommend them to anybody who is trying Japanese style food for the first time. BENTO BOXES, These are a traditional style of arranging food in Japan...basically its a wooden box With different compartments in it with food neatly organised in each compartment. They have a variety of bento boxes, I especially love the teriyaki and the tempura. Always served with 2 rolls of sushi and salad on the side and miso soup and rice then whatever type of bento you ordered. SUSHI!!!! everyone knows sushi. Cha han, Basically fried rice with a bunch on stuff in it. I recommend the fugiyama cha han...lovely mix of veggies and seafood and meats... I love this restaurant, the atmosphere is amazing and the decor is great, the food is so beautifully prepared...I go here if I feel like having a nice semi formal dinner or lunch the staff are friendly and the bathroom even though its small...it is the cleanest nicest smelling bathroom I've seen around Dublin inside a restaurant.. Only down side to this place no wheelchair access. The entrance is a staircase beside burger king in O'Connell street.

Not fancy (compact, kinda Tokyo style) Sushi, sashimi, Bento boxes, donburi, tappan, yasai, all with a variety of meats or vegetables or a combination. Udon and Ramen too. Iced berries with a warmed very light fruity sauce, was particularly good as a desert.. traditional Japanese saki, plumwine, beer, are good too. Upstairs with big windows to watch the hustle and bustle of city centre Dublin.

Fujiyama is that old school friend of yours, whom you can always count on. Been here several times, its my go to place for when there is an air of indecisiveness around choosing a food joint. Sit by the window if you get a chance and you will get a bird's eye view of the life at Dublin City Centre. An ideal food order: Chicken goyza for starters, Chicken katsu curry or Sea-food Cha Han for mains and Lemon ice tea or Ichiban beer for drinks. Pricing: €40 - €50 for a two course meal for two, excluding drinks.
