I've been going to Joel's since I was a kid and have very happy memories of this place. The entrance always being entertaining for me and my siblings. The food has always been top notch and menu has remained relatively unchanged. Can't go wrong with the turkey and ham. Maltesers Sunday is a great recommendation too if you're looking for something sweet. Just a really solid restaurant overall.

Excellent service. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There's very little that I can eat due to intolerance but they had vegan cheese and gluten free buns. The food was delicious 😋 Will definitely be returning. Very enjoyable

Went for a meal at Joel’s this afternoon. Absolutely fantastic service even though the place was packed. Food was sublime. I ordered the chefs special for the starters and main, today it was muscles in a coconut cream and chili sauce, and shrimp stir fried egg noodles. Desert was also fantastic and helped cool down the spiciness of the previous dishes 😂 (toffee and honeycomb sundae). Really recommend Joels, will defiantely be coming back soon! (Forgot to take a pic of the muscles, it looked so good i didnt waste anytime to eat)

Highly recommend Joel’s restaurant. Went there on Friday night and it was my first time there in two years due to the Pandemic. Joel’s chicken curry is just Devine. I actually went to Joel’s for a Chicken Curry. I have had chicken curry’s in other restaurants but other restaurants would not come up to Joel’s standards regarding chicken curry. Staff were very professional, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed especially with the Chicken Curry.

Went to Joels on Wednesday evening, didn’t have a booking but there was a wait time for a table we didn’t mind as we could have a drink in the bar. Our vaccine certs and ID were checked which made us feel a lot safer. Food was delicious, nice big portions. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely return back.

Loved this place, went for a party and the staff where lovely, the food was amazing and so was the atmosphere, the kids where entertained by the guy at the pizza oven and he gave them some dough to play with, I got the ribs and chicken combo and it was amazing, the chips where also really god, the ribs where sticky, sweet bbq, and the wings where hot, the chips where perfect, then u got a brownie for dessert and it was really good, I could reccomend this place for small dining or a big party.

I haven't visited this restaurant for a number of years but going back in was exactly as I remembered. The food was excellent and the staff as quick and efficient as ever. I don't know why I haven't gone here for a while but I will definitely be returning more often now. Excellent food for a decent price. Tip : try the banana boat. Amazing.

Amazing service and extremely accomodating to diners with additional needs. Gave us a table with plenty of space for 2 wheelchairs and were able to adapt the meal for a person on pureed foods. Will be returning.

I don't know for sure but I feel there's been a pretty big increase in the price, I understand its been tough for businesses during the pandemic however I just don't feel the its the prices matches the food or atmosphere.

Visited for the 1st time post lockdown recently and was disappointed to see that they had whittled their menu right down leaving very limited options. The main attraction about Joel's in the past was that you were guaranteed to find something that appealed to everyone on their expansive menu. On this occasion half our party ended up just ordering a starter for lack of enticing mains options. The food that was ordered was nice enough, but nothing special. The positives were a short waiting time for a table, prompt service once order was placed and lovely friendly staff. The restaurant was clean, as were the toilets, but overall due to the limited menu, we won't be rushing back.

This place is a long-time family favourite of ours. The food is always really nice however we were disappointed on this trip with the lack of options on the menu. We were waiting an hour for a table and realised after that there’s about a quarter of the menu available when compared with the year before. Joel’s is known for its garlic Kiev and this has been removed from the menu, couldn’t believe it. The food we got was nice to be fair and the staff were sound too. Please revise your menu!

I give this five stars on condition that you get the wonderful Cormac as your waiter, great atmosphere and does what it says type food all helped to make this a fabulous night. Our waiter Cormac had plenty of tables to cover yet made us feel like we were the only people in the place. All in all a wonderful 5 star night. Also worth nothing how happy the staff seemed to be...I like to see that.

From the first contact exploring available venues, Joel’s stood out from all other potential options in their can-do, will-deliver approach. Welcome on the evening was warm, fully informed and consistent across all staff. Food was excellent, reasonably priced and within Government constraints on seating/ number limits at tables delivered on time. There was sincere concern on the part of all staff to satisfy every wish of our members. We have been there before and found the same welcome. Visited with my family on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy and we had to wait for a table in the spacious bar area. We weren't kept waiting long despite it being busy. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The food was very good and inexpensive. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. There were several parties there but you wouldn't tell. The music was unobtrusive. Toilets were clean and well presented. Will definitely be back.

I haven't been in Joels since Janurary and decided to go for lunch with my elderly mother. We were made very welcome by reception and waiting staff. The senior menu is great value. We visited here on a mid week evening. Joel's is a large scale restaurant/bar, but luckily it was nearly empty when we arrived so there was no need to book ahead or worry about getting a table. The food and service were both good, but the chicken wings we had as starter had far too much sauce. Overall a good local place for food but I would imagine when its busy, the noise level would be deafening as its so big.

We went to Joel’s for the first time on Friday and decided to return today. We were greeted by a lovely smiling hostess called Erica on both occasions who informed up the wait would be 20 mins. Went to Joel's restaurant today wasn't waiting that long to be seated as it's St. Patrick day I expected a bit of a wait. The food was amazing I had the steak of the week a special 14oz served with beef pie, chips and beer batter onion rings. I would also like to mention our waiter Katrina she was very polite and professional I can not fault her one bit. Really enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.

A great Irish welcome... 6 of us ( from England) visited Joels Restaurant on Friday the 15th of November (2019). On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. A very friendly waitress took our drinks order and gave us our menus. We all ordered different meals and they were all fantastic, good size portions, tasty and very good value for money. Hard to find, had to get directions to the Circle K next to it cause Google brought us to the neighborhood behind it. Small parking lot kind of far away. Very busy place, but no wait for 2 people. Was here for a Birthday party a while back. Food was very good but was not very pleased with the service or general atmosphere. The environment is very commercialized with buzzers to tell you your table is ready and so on. You do not receive much attention from the waiters as they are usually dealing with a large amount of tables. Aside from the service and atmosphere the food is nice and there is a good choice.

Staff are great food is great, I've never seen such a busy place but the staff take it in their stride, fantastic atmosphere. On a negative note the Prawn Cocktail I had was possibly the worst I've ever had, 7 prawns a tiny amount of sauce and loads of lettuce, at €9.60 odds I expected better but the pizza I had after was possibly the best I've had outside of Italy. Drinks are a bit pricey too.

Can’t believe it’s 5 years since we last visited here, and looking back at our review from that, things really haven’t changed. The restaurant needs to be refurbished and completely modernised. It is tired and is really looking its age. A trio of us were there in the early evening and it was fairly quiet, for the first hour anyway. We opted for two courses – a starter and a main. The Caesar salad, whilst very tasty, was probably just that bit too big for a starter, and the garlic mushrooms were rather difficult to plunge a fork into. They appeared to have been over-fried as the coating was very hard. The Nachos were quite colourfully presented and were really nice, topped with melted cheese. We ordered Vegetarian Pizza, Turkey and Ham and a Breaded Garlic Chicken dish for mains. The pizza dish, which came on a thin crust, was declared delicious. The chicken was rather dry with very little taste of garlic and the Turkey and Ham arrived on a lake of gravy, much like the last time. Gravy should really be provided on the side in a small jug or boat so you can help yourself. Accompanying vegetables were mashed potato, baby boiled potatoes, and fresh carrot and parsnip batons with broccoli (same as the last time too). Our own server was very good and so attentive to us, but our order was messed up twice (no fault of hers). That shouldn’t happen any time and particularly not in the early evening when the establishment isn’t busy. I don’t think we’ll be rushing back any time soon. Joels is in serious need of a visual upgrade to spruce the place up – the lovely glitter-ball type lamps dotted around the place just aren’t enough. The menu also needs some rejuvenation

I have been to different restaurant over the years but have to say Joels has to be my favourite. Its a very friendly restaurant that caters for all ages. I have eaten different dishes over time and I could not fault any of them. From the time you walk through the door the staff are so welcoming. I would highly recommend.

The menu is very comprehensive and I we always find that no matter what different tastes any of our group have they will find something to please them on the menu. If I had to find something negative to say it would be the waiting time to get a table, but that is due to the popularity.

I love the staff in Joel's and eat there nearly every week. My husband and myself go here because the staff create a great repor with their customers. The waitresses are fantastic and always smiling and interested in what you are saying to them. We go nearly every Tuesday and our drinks and order are ready in a flash. There are also two managers there who are so nice and make our visit very special each week. I always send my guest around to this restaurant when they come to stay in my home. The only downside is the menu, while the food is delicious, I find it has the same items on now for too long a time. I would like to suggest they start adding some new dishes to their menu. Loved the place. It's massive first of all so you're not like so close to other tables that you can hear everybody's chat. The staff very friendly and attentive. Joel's is a great restaurant. It can be a bit pricey but we mostly use it as a special occasion. I've been here for my 21st, my sister and my cousin's 21st, meal for after confirmation, my first date was here. Whenever we want to celebrate as a family Joel's is the place to go. There can be a long wait particularly on Saturday night or bank holidays but you don't mind that because you can have a drink or a cocktail while waiting!

I am staying at the hotel opposite and went to Joels on my first night in Dublin with my partner. We had a great time the food was delicious and all the staff seemed to be in high spirits, our waitress engaged us in long conversations about where we should go and what we should see during our stay, devoting a significant portion of her time to us.She was a delight and we took her up on several of her suggestions. We gave a sizable tip and left with a very positive impression of the restaurant and its staff. We returned the next day (Thursday 5th April) after a long day out and about, just wanting some quick food before retiring to our hotel for some much needed rest. It was like we had entered a different restaurant. While the food remained delicious the staff were lackadaisical, uninterested and rarely smiled. Almost literally the polar opposite of the night before. One waitress was chewing gum, and another visably sighed with exasperation while taking another customers order. It was a dissapointing evening to be sure. The food and previous nights service are the only things that saved this review. Try encouraging ALL your staff to smile and engage with customers as much as the staff did on our first night. It really creates a great atmosphere and makes you want to come back.

The staff are very helpful, and courtious, and always greet you with a smile. We had dinner there yesterday Sunday 27th Jan. I had an 'All For One' voucher. Generally Joel's don't take these, but the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel does!. The "floor manager" (an extremely nice guy!!) for want of a better term, accepted my voucher and ran across to the hotel with it, which we thought was a really nice gesture. We both love salad, so the only small complaint would be that it could be a little bit more wholesome as it was basically a bowl of leaves with a very small amount of tomatoes, cucumber etc... We would definitely recommend this restaurant, as they have something for everyone's taste....even the kiddies!!. The staff are great, and the service is fantastic. 9/10

Owned by the Louis Fitzgerald group, Joel's is a long established restaurant situated on the N7 and located beside the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Naas Road Clondalkin. The restaurant attracts a vast number of visitors and locals from far and wide to dine in the relaxed atmosphere and welcoming comforts of fine food, friendly staff and a very reasonable but comprehensive menu to suit all ages and tastes.
