Excellent seafood dishes and great service. We went there with a buggy at lunch time during the week and the staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The place is very characteristic, classic sea side restaurant. The atmosphere is quite and relaxed. Food high quality and fresh. Loved the tempura prawns. Only downside I found was the chowder with very little fish pieces inside but the taste was good.

The staff here are amazing, they are friendly and very helpful. The disappointment was the food. The Tempura batter was falling of the prawns and very oily,the calamari were very tough with no flavor the fish and chips meal had been cremated. The lobster dish was delicious and we thank our lovely server for this recommendation

Our pleasant visit to the King Sitric was up to the usual standards. Unfortunately that after 50 years the King Sitric Restaurant are to close their doors in the New Year, a victim of the times we now live in. We understand that they have plans to extend the existing accommodation. We wish them well for the future but so sad.

Lovely service. Great view of the east peer and marina. The cold seafood platter for two lacked a bit more flavor in my opinion. Next time will try a hot dish. I definitely Recommend for a date dinner.

I didn't spend time in a hotel, but got there few times for a food. Great flavours. No salt or pepper needed. I tried to order mussels once, but were out of stock, so I got some fish. In time, I had my dish, two guys came in with big container filled with fresh mussels. Disappointed, because I didn't have space in my stomach for more food, but glad to see products straight from the sea.

The food was very good and the staff were excellent. Best prawns I think I've ever had... and the rest of the food (halibut, monkfish not pictured, and scallops) were cooked perfectly. Being charged for tap water, or at least asking for tap water and being charged for it without being told there would be a charge dampened things a little bit.

Good food but despite the place being well-staffed on a quiet Thursday afternoon, it took us almost 45 minutes to get fish and chips and they didn't clear our starters until they had the mains ready. Was beginning to think they'd forgotten about us, still not sure they didn't! But lovely food once it came out!

First time trying crab claws and lobster, could not have picked a better place to do so. The food was so fresh and cooked perfectly. Our server was very nice, a young blonde girl, she helped us out with ordering as it was our first time there. Our drinks were served pretty quickly as well. You might need a reservation to get a table here, but it's definitely worth it if you like locally sourced ingredients, amazing flavors, and beautiful plating. Everything here was delicious and portion sizes were perfect. The wine list is impressive, but you can also get a pint of Guinness if you don't want to spring for the €250 bottle of port. This is a relaxed dining experience, so expect to spend about a half an hour here per course.

Lovely lunch yesterday. First class food with first class service .Garlic prawns are to die for. Although place was very busy we got a drink at the bar and were brought to the table after a short wait chatting with the friendly bar and waiting staff.

Not exactly a beer drinker here, but it is non acholic so thought will give it a go. Tasted excellent, and quite appealing for someone looking for taste but to skip the alcohol. Not the best seafood in Howth unless you're on the mood for deep fried stuff. Very standard pub food but if you'tw into that is nice. The pub itself is very nice and clean and a great view. If you're in the mood for proper seafood however, you're better off at any joint on the peer.

My wife and I stayed here the first night of our honeymoon. The room was clean and relatively roomy. The area it was in had plenty of places to eat and relax. Great place to stay. Parking can be a problem though so come early or late in the day when checking in.

A gem of a Restaurant. Exquisite food, great location at the end of Howth Harbour. Friendly, attentive staff. I went there with a good friend who recommended the lobster and it certainly didn't disappoint. It went down well with a refreshing Verdejo rueda. I will be keen to revisit when next visiting the greater Dublin region to further sample the menu and soak up the vibrant vibe at King Citric.

This applies to the Café on the ground floor, not the restaurant upstairs. The menu read well and has a large selection of seafood as well as meat and chicken dishes. Four of us sampled from all across the menu, all were relatively happy but none 'wowed' by what we received. Service was haphazard with one member of our group left waiting almost 10 minutes after everything else was served before she received her side. The booth was very small and cramped for four adults. Not rushing back

The restaurant upstairs is excellent. There is also an informal bar which does food downstairs and some of the negative reviews here such as soggy chips, seafood platter etc, seem to be irrelevant to the restaurant where there is not a chip to be seen. Three of us ate very well at the restaurant, three courses, various extras, decent Sancerre, coffee etc plus tip €200 which seemed good.

Great seafood restaurant in Howth. We have been here several times and everytime it was very nice. We ordered seafood platter where you get half of lobster, prawns, oysters, smoked salmon, crab meat.... It was very tasty, delicious and fresh. Also the portion is very good, enough for two. The chowder and daily soup were excellent. They also have nice selection of craft beer from Donegal. The staff is very friendly and nice. I recommend a visit when you are in Howth.

An ongoing house rewiring, which is a major project, gives rise to potential hazards, especially on autumn nights with no power. For reasons of safety and good sense I stayed away from the house for 5 project nights. I was made feel very welcome and my stay was very relaxing and comfortable in a lovely, well serviced, guest house room -Minehead-with sea views over Balscadden Bay, part of the King Sitric Restaurant guest house accommodation- where each room is named after an Irish Lighthouse. When it wasnt feasible for safety reasons to have an evening meal at home -microwave (and security) were functioning throughout the rewiring project, I opted to eat the same dish each time in the East Bar Café, (located in the old wine cellar of the King Sitric Restaurant): crab mornay with home-made brown bread, which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the family owned and run King Sitric, Guest House and the East Bar Café-not to be missed if visiting or staying in the Howth area.

Where to start? We took a spontaneous trek to and around Howth, just out of Dublin. Absolutely the best decision of the day. The best fish and chips I have ever had!!! Inoltre il dubbio che la stanza che poi ci hanno assegnato fosse di ripiego, al piano terreno e su strada, rimane. "Mi raccomando chiudete le finestre". La stanza non era molto spaziosa. Sufficientemente bella, dotata di adattatore per la corrente cosa mollto utile. Bello il bagno con una doccia "spaziale". La colazione era molto buona, con ampia scelta di cibo. Ottima la frutta sciroppata fatta dallo chef. Sicuramente vale la pena di alzarsi presto per godersi l' alba, prima sul mare e poi vedere salire il sole a colazione.

També tens la opció de sopar-hi, peró si vols alguna cosa mes senzilla pots picar molts plats, sobretot peix i marisc, al bar a la planta baixa. Hi ha de tot, fish and chips peró tambe ostras i llamantol a pes, i bona cerveza i vi. El tracte es inmillorable y molt personal, hi tornarem segur!
