The best scones in town!!
A true gem with great atmosphere and extremely kind staff.
You must try their scones, and the savoury tart of the day is fantastic as well.
Highly recommended.
A. R.
We had a very lovely breakfast here. Each tried a bap, and shared a raspberry scone. Delightful. Coffee was ace as well. It gets very busy very quickly on Saturday morning, so prepare to wait if you're not there right when they open.
K. W.
Atmosphere is quaint, waitress was sweet and the food was scrumptious! Even the savory scone with eggs delighted my husband when he was skeptical of a “bakery” for breakfast. It’s true, this is a must when in Dublin!!!
C. P.
I visited this place with a friend for a small brunch. The place is nice and the waiters are very friendly. Although the card is mainly devoted to sweet meals, there a nice brunch cart. I am only speaking of the brunch here. It was simple but nice… Nothing too fancy… It is a nice place where to have a small dinner during a week working day !
f.
An amazing bakery! I would eat here twice a day if I could. The raspberry (not pictured) was out of this world

I was really happy to hear about the reopening! It's a lovely place to stop while visiting the city, with a nice variety of dishes and cakes to satisfy those who need something sweet and those who prefer savory. And some extra choices depending on the day.
I recommend you go early on a weekend to be able to try the pancakes!!
There are lots of people coming and going so it is possible that you may have to wait to be seated, I recommend you go around 14h if you follow a Spanish timetable, you may be lucky.
Big thanks to the service there, they were all charming and patient :)

Nice cafe and more of a gem for nice coffee and sweet tooth cravings, perfect for the Irish weather🙂 The Old fashioned Victorian sponge cake stole the show.Awesome coffee and good variety on the menu.Helpful staff is another feather on the crown of this "Queen"!
D. K.
Always love going to Queen of tarts..
Staff very friendly, plenty of lovely scones, cakes, ideal for lunch, a date, or enjoying reading 📚 with a nice tea/ coffee.
I'm partial to either carrot cake or Victoria sponge myself but there's Bailey cheesecake, apple crumble, and many others..
K. R.
It's a cute, lovely place with a cozy indoor and an outdoor sitting place. The staff is very welcoming and sweet.
The only problem is with the quantity of coffee served. The quantity doesn't justify the price, therefore, maybe the cafe can server larger cups. 🙂
S. W.
Very nice cafe, away from the traffic in a pedestrian zone. Friendly staff, good tea and of course very tasty cakes and tarts. Later we returned to have breakfast here and that turned out to be very good, too, so we can recommend it for both.
N. A.
What a wonderful breakfast experience. The staff was fantastic and friendly and the food was great. In a six city tour of Ireland I can honestly say that they had the best coffee in Ireland.

When I visit Dublin from Canada it is a MUST to eat at Queen of Tarts! The location is terrific with a great ambiance on both the patio and inside the cafe. The food is delicious and the presentation is lovely. A heartwarming place to visit!
L.
What a pleasant experience with her highness. The queen was sweet, but also tart. We were served by Sam, the queen’s favorite in her royal court. We consumed the baps and were pleased. 5 stars for the queen!
黃.
Good food, good service! Come earlier for seats.
G. B.
everything was so amazing. cozy interior, delicious tarts & high quality tea. pure love.
I. M.
My favourite place for scones or cake and tea!! Super home made and super delicious!! My favourite thing is the chocolate chip scone!
R. Z.
I really enjoyed this place. The Belgian chocolate scone that I ordered was very nice and there were a lot of cakes, pies and tarts on the menu that looked very appetising! The service was great, and the staff was effective and helpful. The inside area is really nice to sit in, but there is also an outdoor seating area for warmer days. There is also a selection of various hot drinks with original flavours that I would love to try. I would really like to go there again!
N. T.
This is a really neat place tucked down a pedestrian street. Friendly greeter will put you in queue and things turnover pretty quickly. Fun menu of pastries, breads, and heavier breakfast fare. Everything was delicious and the service was delightful. Service is a little slow, but it is a very popular place packed with patrons. Quirky but distinctive decor inside and tight seating. Be sure to go inside and grab a coffee and small pastry while you wait outside for your table.
I. H.
the servers were really smiley, very cosy seating area, bailey's cheesecake was fire and i liked my sandwich too, quite a lot.
will come again, of course!

Of the four days in Dublin we came here to have breakfast twice.
Very good pastries and cakes, also the Latte exceeded our expectations.
The shop is extremely cozy and the waitresses were all very nice and polite.
X. D.
Lovely atmosphere and interior. Although always busy, staff is friendly and attentive. Loved their rustic apple crumble from first visit. Went back for a Victoria sponge and was quite disappointed, old and soggy. However the banana pecan cake was lovely according to my friend.
N. W.
Place was suggested by someone who lived in Dublin for six months. Definitely worth the visit for the scones! Unlike the dry and listless ones we experienced elsewhere, theirs were tasty and not dry. With a full breakfast. Brunch, and lunch menu and fun choices. Good stop.

This is absolutely my favorite place in Dublin. The most reason I love here is there is Terrace for non-smoker. It is usually for smoker and it is sometimes very hard for me. Also great selection of tarts and cakes. I have never had some food however bakery were greaaaat. Lovely herb tea and gorgeous tea cups always. friendly staff always.
P. M.
We had a great breakfast. Service was more than polite with humor. Tried to learn them the Fredo espresso version of making a cold espresso and they seemed to have a good mood of learning. Cheers guys 😊
F.
It’s a lovely place with delicious desserts. We ordered 3 different cakes.
1.Baileys Cheesecake
2.New York Raspberry Cheesecake
3.Victorian Sponge Cake
If you like cheesecake, I recommend the first one. You don’t want miss it!
Next time I will try breakfast or brunch here.
S. M.
A great selection of delicious gluten free treats and meals. Our waiter, Sam, was very professional, warm, and friendly.

When you think of perfect English desserts this is the place you need to be. From the amazing pastries to the very Irish meals this place has it all. Stop in for a coffee or have an amazing meal. You will not be disappointed in what Queen of Tarts has to offer.
A. K.
Good cakes. The guide said that they have the best cakes In Dublin. I can agree but the place is small and crowded . Small tables and so crowded, would be better if they have bigger place. But the serving was nice, but not so quick. If you don’t have a plenty of time, use another time. But when you will be there, you want regret it
V. A.
Amaaazing food! A really cozy place too. We had the veggie bap, the blueberry scone, the blat sandwich and a mushroom tart. Everyone was really satisfied with their meal. Service was ok, could be a bit less insistent. They play good music :) Would recommend!!
M. F.
Local is quite small with only a few tables, but the service is quite fast. We had The baileys cheesecake with chocolate chips (very good), and the Irish breakfast (also very tasty).
D. M.
Finally I found a good desert in Dublin. A must go place with delicious cakes and tarts. You definitely need to try the cheese cake and the chocolate fudge cake. The tarts price is between 4.50-6 euros, with most of them being 6 euros.
A. W. (.
It was just around the corner from the hostel I was staying at and wanted something more then just the cold breakfast being served. It's a nice little spot with a good sized patio when the weather is nice. The breakfast I ordered was great and even got a chocolate scone to go.
R. M.
If you're looking for decent coffee and a charming place to indulge yourself in delicious treats, you found it! I immediately feel in love with this place from the first time I visited there. If you looking for so e pastry go for Queen's Delight which you can have a coffee/tea + orange juice + pastry. However, if you're just looking for dessert, I recommend Bayley's cheesecake or Guinness chocolate cake, can't go wrong :)
l. T.
Worth the waiting line!
R. Y.
Lovely Cafe😊 They have good tapestries. And decorations of cafe are cute❤
It's busy, so when I went there with friend, we were asked to move another table twice....
P. T.
Really small and cosy coffee shop, just down Cows Lane.
The cakes/tarts are really lovely and authentic. Coffee is also really nice here.
The staff really make you feel welcome and are super friendly.
S. R.
A bit crowded on the inside (I went on a Sunday afternoon, a 15/20 minutes waiting ), but you can always sit outside, if weather permits. Prices are average (15 e. for a scone, an Irish coffee, and an Apple pie). I can only speak for what we ordered, it's something you can get anywhere else, but in a nice and tidy tea-house style place.
R. A. S. G.
The chocolate fudge cake with berries was delicious. Really nice staff too.
J. V.
Lovely local place nice staff.. Can get very busy but always a place to seat right away no wait the food was good too and the Guinness cupcake! Delicious
a. s.
Very friendly service in a quaint little venue. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Vegans and vegetarians are well catered to with both brunch dishes and cakes.
D. D.
We had a 15 minute wait but it was worth it. Hearty soups and sandwiches, lots of variety and excellent service. Recommended by our walking tour guide.
g. h.
The food and desserts were really good and the decoration inside the restaurant is lovely! Only downside is that the staff made us wait quite a while outside under the rain, before letting us sit at a table that we saw empty from the beginning...
O. V.
I enjoyed our mushroom tarragon soup of the day and the scones, victorian pound cake and tea. The place is really cute and there is lots to choose from. The only downside is the 'wait' is outside. This means that when it is raining and cold, you get wet and freeze while you wait.
E. v. d. V.
Very crowded. We had to wait 15 minutes outside in the cold and another 15 minutes inside. But the wait was worth it. The cakes are delicious. Especially the chocolate pear tart (served hot). Also the tea was excellent. Highly recommended.
M. E.
Wow! A really great place to have breakfast or lunch or brunch in Dublin! Usually you have to wait 15-20 minutes until you‘re seated, however it‘s definitely worth the time! The scones are absolutely delicious, you better try all of them. Very friendly servers and cashiers, they even packed us some jam and Irish butter for the scones we bought to bring home.
We had the cheesy scrambled eggs on a dried tomato and feta scone and the avocado toast with poached eggs, both our meals were sooo good. We will definitely come back! Thanks for the friendly and nice service😊
A. M.
The waitress recommended me the carrot cake (around €6) and I’m happy she did. It’s a good standard carrot cake, nothing less and nothing more than that. Service was great. The place is a bit small and often busy, so I’d avoid coming here in big groups. Wasn’t in love with the iced tea (€3).
E. K.
Pros: Nice food, decor, location and music. Not to come here if you are desperately hungry though the meals for lunch are quite interesting and original so that's great.
Cons: Maybe it was our bad luck or timing but our waitress was not in the best of moods...could be that it is a Monday, she was hungry (went to eat later) or that her relationship was strained or a combination of all so I can let it slide though it did take the whole vibe of the place away. We are quite laid back people so guess it was just a bad day for her but she was smiling after eating (I get grumpy when hungry too) :)
I guess I would still come here again or recommend it. Everyone has their bad days.
E. C.
Great spot for a tasty breakfast! The sweet pepper relish was delicious, and the poached eggs were spot-on. Wait staff was helpful and pleasant, and atmosphere was inviting. Definitely recommend.
T. J.
Cute place with great coffee and a good selection of sweet treats! I have been a few times and the staff is not that friendly. Obviously it's nothing awful becaus I do go back but it would be nice to have a dark welcome into this extremely cute place.
E. S.
June 2019. I had been told to come here by a friend, which seems like the way lots of customers arrive. Service was very friendly, but the place was generally understaffed and customers were left waiting to pay and order. I tried their raspberry scone, which came with a nice side of jam and butter. The scone itself was mediocre at best. Nothing to write home about. There is also no WiFi available.
J. B.
Delicious bailey's chocolate chip cheesecake. It was somewhat pricy but it was really good! The staffs were nice, especially the asian guy at the counter. He was really welcoming & accommodating 😂
J. C.
After 1h30 of walking and not eating this whole morning, I've decided to settle here. Very warming place and service, good songs,I like the whole interior design. After drinking water with a lemon, I've ordered a tart, chai latte then take a cake as finisher. Woow, it was awesome food especially the cake : I feel like a Queen. I gladly recommend Queen of Tarts !
S. P.
Delicious tea time! The staff is nice and this lovely tea salon is located in a calm lateral pedestrian street close to the Dublin castle
j. b.
Had a takeaway chocolate cake and it was fantastic! We also tried the soda bread and was the best I've ever had.
A. H.
Lovely service staff who warmed up my blueberry scone on request. However, as I do hail from the land of perfect, buttery scones, this one was a bit of a let-down. A bit too healthy for my liking I’d say. They did get the sweetness of the scone to my liking, so if you don’t like sweet things, this would be lovely (but then, why’d you be having scones!)
T. F.
Great cafe with delicious desserts and tea. I haven’t had a bad dessert there. Everything is fresh and the customer service is great as well.
B. T.
Hearty breakfast was indeed hearty. Sort of a hipster take on a full Irish, I mean that in a good way. Their scones are fantastic.
V. G.
Really excelent place, one of the "must go" in Dublin. The staff is really nice, but the food is amazing. Everything is delicious, from the omelete to the tarts and deserts. Must try everything, because, seriously, everything is awsome. Definetly a place to come back again and again.
J. D.
YAS. Best cakes in Dublin. Pictured below is the Victorian Sponge Cake. It was light, moist with a great balance of cream and fruit filling. SO GOOD.
Super close to the Trinity Bar area if you’re looking for a good spot to get out of the hustle and bustle.
D. G.
What a lovely, quaint spot! Our hotel receptionist recommended this place for breakfast and I’m so glad we went! Food was delicious and staff was very friendly.
L. H.
The Bailey's chocolate cheesecake and the apple cake tasted fantastic.
But the place is very expensive (all cakes around 7€) and we were disappointed by the size of the hot drinks with bailey's as they were with 8,50€ very expensive and very small unfortunately.
S.
Really good cheesecake!!
The only downside of this place is that it’s really crowded and lots of people will wait in line (on the weekends), so it’s not a place to have a relaxed tea and cake.
They have two locations just around the corner of each other: this one is cozier and has much more space than the other location :).
J. K.
Good food, nice service. We were made to feel a little rushed because it was a busy period, but would definitely return.
M. M.
Highly recommend, went for lunch with my grandson the staff were very accomadating as I had a buggy. If you are going to try one thing it's got to be the Lemon Meringue 10/10.
S. K.
To say the food here is delicious would be an understatement! It would put Mary Berry to shame. Try the raspberry scones and the Victoria sponge
P. D.
There's always a queue here to sit inside but the weather was great so we took an outside table. Ordered four different cakes/tarts for the table and we all loved them. Irish coffees are great too.
R. C.
Great place to pop in for breakfast, brunch or just a cup of coffee and pastry. Reasonable prices, friendly wait staff and fantastic food! A must-go when tripping in Dublin, either for the first our fourth time. Stop here when touring Dublin Castle or Book of Kells as they are right near this little gem.
J. R.
This place is pretty busy so they were all out of scones. We had some cake instead and let me tell you: YUM! Amazing carrot cake and brownie. Stay a while if you can get a seat.
F. L.
Super nice place, feels like a cute doll's tea house. Tea and cakes are tasty and very appealing on the showcase. Staff is also friendly and helpful; the waiter did wherever possible to get me a scone as they were all already gone by the time I arrived.
S. F.
Staff very nice, very poor selection of food for a lunchtime.
L.
Stepped in starving and left full. Cutesy venue, organisation needed on mezzanine. Friendly staff, bit of confusion around the bill loses a star as it wasn’t completely seamless service.
Irish smoked salmon, with scrambled egg, avocado and soda bread.
9/10 - Great scrambled egg, didn’t need the spring onion, slightly under seasoned. Avocado was smashed with chilli and lemon and was good.
M. C.
A very nice café with nice cakes. You can eat there for breakfast, lunch or have a piece of cake at any moment of the day. I recommend the Baileys cheesecake.
A. J.
We were very pleased with our breakfast here. We had the Avocado toast, wich was lovely . The scones with jam and cream was also very good. They even specially made a bacon and egg sandwich for my son, wich was nice of them. Everything was fresh, and the food came fast.
B. T.
Cozy place for brunch and some nice desserts. Have to queue for a table as the place is quite compact especially during winter months.
E. S.
The best baked goods I've had in my entire life. I was only in Dublin for four days and this was the only place I visited twice. This place made me understand why people eat scones. I want to go back to Dublin just to come here.
G. G.
Great place! Chocolate fudge cake was amazing, and coffee also. Hard to beat if you want a cozy place for coffee and dessert. And lot's of options. Be prepared for waiting maybe 5-10 mins if you go at a Saturday evening.
P. S.
Lovely little cafe in one of Dublin's most iconic Temple bar area. The coffee is great, pastries even better and staff patient and friendly. Be prepared however to wait your turn for a good ten to twenty minutes on the weekends, this place is popular both among tourists and locals! But it's worth the wait :)
C. J.
Great spot for breakfast with a relaxed and informal vibe.
They also have a bakery with a very big variety of snacks
N. S.
Not sure That this is the best Lemon meringue tart I ever had, the tart and lemon are so thin and on top a mountain of meringue. But it is without denying very delicious! The place is very small, and sweet, great service, friendly staff. So yes, the queen knows what she is doing!!!
L. S.
Very cozy café, really draws your attention when you walk by it! Very attentive staff and delicious scones :) definitely recommend!
B. A.
Great place for breakfast. A varied menu for all tastes.
N. S.
I so enjoyed this place during a trip to Dublin. Came back here twice because the food was so delicious. Loved the hearty soups (great vegetarian options) and their tea and scones.
D. M.
One of the coziest places you can find in Dublin! It's got some delicious breakfast and lunch meals. You can also just sit down, listen to sort of coffee house music and just enjoy your great coffee.
S. M.
Go early and often for the lemon tarts. Stay and try some other things, you won't be disappointed.
They are great, presentation is wonderful, it's a very cute shop. Can't wait to go back
S. G.
What a wonderful treat on our honeymoon! Looked this place up and was not disappointed!
The tarts were delicious and unfortunately we were only able to stop by here once but definitely would like to return.
I could see this place getting busy as it is small so get there early!
Thanks to the locals of Dublin for making our honeymoon special.
J. W.
My husband and I went here in 2019 for breakfast and it was so good we came back for dessert that same day. Absolutely delicious!
E. M.
On of the best Irish cafe and cake shop using wholesome seasonal Irish ingredients. Also friendly staff, beautiful decorations and atomsphere.
B. G.
They serve an excellent breakfast here. The traditional Irish breakfast has everything you want and more. Also they serve good yogurt and coffee. Definitely try this place out for breakfast.
G. M.
The place is so lovely and has a very cosy atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and the breakfast we had was delicious! Would definitely recommend trying this place, especially when you like cake!
E. S.
Amazing food! They have two locations, right near each other. The decor was very vintage and cozy. The food was AMAZING. I got a breakfast tart with shallots, bacon and potatoes. It was the best thing I've ever eaten. Also very adorable.
L. A.
I recommend Baileys Cheesecake: Baked Cheesecake with chocolate chips and a dash of Baileys Irish cream. Is amazing. Is not a cheap place but it worth it.
I. N.
Amazing. Great service. Best covid precautions I have seen in Ireland. Beautiful place. Great cakes and coffee. Great wine too.
M. B.
This is a wonderful spot for a full breakfast or just a coffee and pastry. And maybe to cure a hangover from a “night before” of revelry and questionable decision making on a crawl through the Temple Bar. (Telling for a friend). In all seriousness, i always make it a point to stop in when I’m in Dublin for work or to visit friends, and I’ve never not loved a single thing I’ve nibbled or gorged on here. The coffee is consistently strong and good, portions are plentiful without being obnoxious, the service is usually excellent whether inside or out, but I have felt a bit rushed on occasion and had one rather rude experience during tourist season (based on an assumption and my accent), which takes away a star. Hoping they come roaring back after the plague abates, because despite the handful of service snafus, I really do enjoy the place.
M. M.
Great to be back after 2 years, and the food just as I remember 1st class
T. N.
Wonderful desserts, my choose was apple tart, which is superb and interesting in texture. However, the place was so crowded that take away was the only option. Looking forward to visit it again on a less busy day.
A. G. M.
One of the best places to have breakfast or brunch in Dublin!
C. K.
Always super busy, so call in early or reserve a spot. Great coffee and delicious treats! Absolutely worth a visit. There's a lovely outdoor market just outside as well.
E. L.
Really nice place for tea/coffee and delicious sweets.
P. D.
Friendly place with good dishes. The waitresses are very kind and the Irish coffee is just excellent (available from 12:30)!
a. d.
Such a cosy and lovely place. We loved the blueberry scones. The staff was really kind and helpful!
D. F.
Breakfast, traditional cakes. Outdoor seating. And on Cows Lane which I love.
A. V.
Best bakery in Dublin. Can't get enough. Seriously. Just go and forget about the diet. Be happy.
A. K.
Delicious breakfast! Veggie bap was scrumptious. Staff were lovely.
D. S.
Excellent food and super nice staff
T. J. S.
Queen of Tarts makes without a doubt the best cakes and pastries in Dublin.
Their Baileys cheesecake is absolutely to die for and the prices are reasonable as well.
M. F.
Very good place for breakfast or for eat something of sweet :) the price are good and the taste is nice. Slow service, but the waitress are funny
m. b.
A complete gem! Delicious and wonderful respite as wondering the city. Had lunch and dessert with tea.. Fabulous!
S. S.
The best and the most accommodating cafe in Dublin. I had an urgent order and they prepared a delicious blueberry cheesecake in less than 3 hours. Everyone loved it and I definitely recommend. Would love to explore more of their dishes.
S. R.
Absolutely amazing afternoon tea and incredible service
J. H.
I was searching for a brunch spot with plenty of outdoor seating and came across this little hidden gem in Temple Bar. I had the Breakfast Bap (I think it’s called) with some breakfast tea. The tea wasn’t my favorite at all but that’s a small detail. The staff could not have been more friendly. I know things are tough now with the restrictions but the staff was so friendly it felt like just another enjoyable Sunday brunch.
D. M.
Great little cafe my husband and I visited on out staycation up in Dublin. Amazing cakes to die. Friendly staff only downside is when you sit outside homeless tend to bother you begging. Not the cafes fault but can be intimidating .
L. L. R.
Great cafe with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches. Good coffee, perfect for wet day in Dublin. It can be quite busy on the weekends.
M. M.
Top notch cakes. Good portion size, very moist. Well presented. Good value
F. H. v. Z.
very nice place for breakfast or cake. i had scones for breakfast and they were very good
R. H.
Great food and friendly helpful staff. Well worth the visit.
V. B.
Absolutely recommended! The tart with bacon, leek and potatoes is amazing!
E. H.
Great experience, lovely staff, would definitely recommend a visit. I'll be returning for sure.
S. N.
Had breakfast during our stay in Dublin and it didn’t disappoint. The Hearty Breakfast did the trick.
The place is kind of spendy, so be prepared to spend €15 per person on a full meal although smaller breakfast dishes can be had for half the price.
Wish we would have had time for the tarts, but it didn’t work out. They looked amazing though and I’m sure they tasted just as good!
M. M.
A stylish café with lovely cakes, one of the best I have eaten in Dublin. But they never have the lemon meringue pie that I wanted to try since I first came in :(
E. A.
Great food. Amazing staff. And not super expensive.
B. H.
More than just tarts! Lots of great breakfast and lunch fare - but the tarts were pretty good too! ;-)
A. K.
The breakfast and the cakes are absolutely delicious!!!
e. j. k.
Tasty pastries but a bit expensive. Authentic decoration, friendly staff except one of them
J. o.
Very good breakfast, we were a couple steps away from licking the plate!
D. D.
Awesome place, everything is tasty. Try the avocado toast!
A. T.
I ordered a Chai latte but it had been made from the powder and had lumps in still. French toast was extremely sweet but enjoyable.
D. K.
Great food. Good service. Try the Guinness pie.
A. A.
So tasty and the staff is amazing! It's a bit experience but really good fresh food!
T. G.
Lovely place! The coffee with baileys and the tarts were delicious
D. P.
Nice cozy place with splendid breakfast options!
P. P.
We ate here with my friends for our last day in Dublin and it was amazing! We took the Old fashioned Victoria cake, the Guiness cake and the cake of the day (peanut butter and chocolate). We also chose to try the leek and bacon breakfast as well as the porridge and everything was divine. The staff was very friendly and it wasn't crowded since we were there quite early (around 8:30 am). We definitely recommend it !!
I. S. L.
Me and my husband went here knowing that it was very famous in Dublin and we might have to wait to be seated. We arrived around 4 pm on a Saturday and waited for 15 minutes because we wanted indoor seats. Once seated our order was taken and the desserts came about 10 minutes later.
I ordered the Victoria sponge cake and in my opinion it was very tasty. Moist and light and the cream was perfect. My husband ordered a hot raspberry apple crumble he said it was scrumptious but a bit heavy. We shared a New York raspberry cheesecake. It was a little tart the crust was nice and crumbly and the cheesecake itself with the berries was amazing. We also ordered Cafe Mocha and lemon ginger tea, they were fine and just regular level tasty the desserts are why you are there.
I recommend this place to anyone that has a sweet tooth I'm sure you'd fine it enjoyable. The place is a bit small and crowded so don't expect a quiet and hustless experience.
I enjoyed it very much and the desserts are very delicious.
A lot of people recommend scones so I'm going to try it next time.
N. M.
Having been to the Queen of Tarts in 2010 I was definitely going to be visiting this trip. Still fabulous. I was not disappointed. Cakes are brilliant. Very good service. I tell everyone about this place if I know they are due to visit Dublin. Those who went also loved it. We had breakfast.... Followed by Victoria sponge cake, just as a treat and it was after 10.30 so almost coffee and cake time, right?
J. H.
Supercozy atmospheric place, yummy tarts of course, loved the china and the design overall. Staff dress code brings you around 150 years back
G. M.
Nice breakfast, yummy (and healthy if you choose the right one :) )
M. K.
It was a queue but it passed fastly. The Dessert was fresh.
R. S.
Awesome place for a brunch and deserts.
K. J.
Amazing cakes! Homemade and divine. The atmosphere is great, all staff is warmly welcoming and helpful. The only downside is that sometimes the place is packed so you could be on a waiting list for 15 min or so, and in that case take away comes in hand. I've only encountered this weekend evenings though. I've tried all chocolate cakes (they have a vegan one) and sundried tomato scones, would highly recommend. They're best known for their cheesecakes, the Bailey's one and pecan are magnificent. The interesting courgette and pecan soup was uniquely delicious too. Would gladly come back.
P. T.
I normally love Queen of Tarts. One of my favorite place to enjoy cake and coffee. Staff are friendly and they have good service. On this occasion my experience was ruined as I witness a number of staff touching blueberries with their bare hands, and putting it on the cream beside the cake. One staff was also making coffee and taking the blueberry straight after. Hope this was first and last time
C. T.
Best way to start our trip in Dublin. Delicious, filling breakfast and good coffee at reasonable prices. Small inside, but no booking needed. Didn’t manage to fit in any cakes or sweets but they looked absolutely delicious.
J. A.
Top tip: don't go after a few drinks when you have a sweet tooth. The cakes are unreal and the service just as good!
We had the Bailey's cheesecake and Carrot cake. Would highly recommend!
P. M.
I like this place for nostalgia reasons. Hid a candle in my scarf here once to surprise my now-partner on their birthday. Good carrot cake, but honestly I've never met a carrot cake I didn't like, so I'm not sure if that's really down to them. Either way, I've enjoyed every experience I've had in this place and would recommend ye all make your own memories here. Or not. I don't particularly care. I don't know you.

Fast and efficient staff. Beautiful food and atmosphere.
R. B.
Super chic stop for tea and baked goods. Good service, and fantastic tarts.
D. H.
A very busy cafe with a lot of cakes. Food is hearty and nice. It's not mind blowing, but the menu was a bit alternative from the usual which was nice. Coffee was nothing to write home about. Be warned, the breakfast will fill you up and leave minimal space for the multitude of cakes on offer. Pick one or the other I recommend.
S. M.
Tasty cake but very overpriced and coffees are very small
B. G.
Its a while since I was there. Glad to see that the menu quality was the same though the prices have jumped up a lot, not helped by a billing error!
a. t.
Super cozy places to have tea or coffee. The desserts offered although a little expensive worth the detour because they are good and big. You should also take a chocolate, a tea or a coffee to see the exceptional cups in which they serve them. These mugs are also possible to buy for a very affordable price.

One of my favorite places in Dublin!! I had this cake and it was super fresh and delicious!! This place is a must!!!
E. C.
This was one of the most recommend restaurants to have brunch in google and Tripadvisor. The food was spot-on and it definitely lived up with its reputation.
FOOD
We went there for breakfast and there was a wide range of options for breakfast. I ordered the avocado on toast (€11) which was spectacular. The bread was crispy and the avocado was fresh. The portion was very generous. Of course, people don’t come here for the breakfast - they come because of how exquisite the desserts are! We came here as a group so we ordered a lot of of desserts to share. I personally enjoyed the lemon meringue the most as the balance between sourness and sweetness is perfect. The meringue was perfect and I really liked it a lot. The other desserts were quite good and I would recommend ordering carrot cake and the daily’s special.
SERVICE
The service was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and helpful and recommended us dishes to try out. They were very considerate too as we were sharing dishes, so they provided us spare plates with ADDITIONAL SAUCE for the avocado on toast - which was GREAT!!!
ENVIRONMENT
Classic English cafe design. There were plenty tables available.
RESERVATIONS
They do not accept reservations so do arrive early. I would recommend arrive within 15 minutes of their opening time to secure a table. Otherwise, expect a wait of at least 15 minutes
R. N. H.
Went in for coffee and cake recently. A delightfully decorated place, good coffee and excellent sweeties. Well situated on a pretty pedestrian street with a small but comfy terrace, perfect for people watching, reading or a chat. Very nice staff, efficient and friendly.
Apparently this place prides itself on its excellent bakery; I can confirm that its product lives up to the rep. A deliciously evil peanut/cocoa cheesecake, luscious without being overly heavy.
My friend had the carrot cake. We were both so engrossed in our own cakes that we didn't get a chance to share before they were demolished. Point in their favour! Plus, she assured me that it was delish.
Definitely a recommendation. I'm sure that the lunch/brunch menu is of similar quality.
V. J.
We chose to stop by for dessert. We were seated upstairs, a tad claustrophobic and warm since the air upstairs did not seem to be switched on.
The Victorian Sponge was delicious, served with cream and raspberry jam. Simple yet oozing flavour. The Lemon Meringue was good too, simple yet hit the spot.
The place was busy and our server seemed hassled; while it took a while to bring the menus (and our change when we settled up), she did bring our dessert relatively quick.
The accompanying pot of cream topped with a blueberry landed on its side while we were being served; but instead of being taken back to the kitchen and replaced, it was merely righted (we chose not to partake of it). They, regretfully, lose a star for that. We hope that this was a one-off and the exception.
An option, if in the area and in the mood for a sweet.
L. G.
Just fantastic. Lovely tea and food options. The Victorian sponge was perfect stuffed with whipped cream and fresh berries. The scenes were huge and fresh. The atmosphere is very cute with vintage China cups and saucers. It reminded me so much of tea with my granny. I loved both their locations. This one on Cows lane is larger and you are more likely to get a seat, in fact if the other location is full they may mention how close this one is.
T. D.
The food was fantastic, and the service was really top-notch. All of the servers were very attentive to needs of the diners without making the experience seem rushed at all. If you're in the area and looking for anything from a light snack to a full lunch to a cup of tea. Queen of Tarts is worth a visit. On a nice day, relax outside with coffee and a scone. It'll be time well spent.
j. s.
10 outa 10, choc chip scones to die for, lovely teas n coffee, comfy decor, friendly staff. Great place
E. S.
Very busy place but the servers are extremely nice and accommodating 😍 food and coffee are lovely 🤤
m.
Chocolate scone with tea is the best on a Saturday morning
C. M.
Scrumptious apple crumble. Best carrot cake I've had in years. Delicious chocolate chip cookies. Decadent brownie. All in a quaint, cozy cafe with friendly, fast service. Couldn't recommend it more. Should have 6 stars!
R. S.
The name lives up to its reputation, QUEEN or tarts, very very friendly staff, great selection of cakes and lovely coffee, I'd be sure to tip the staff because the place is non stop GO, and they work hard.
I've been 3 times in one week once 🐷
Sometimes you're asked to wait 20 minutes doe a table, but it's worth the wait :))
C. L.
A cozy place to stop by in Dublin for cakes and other treats. We were waiting a few days to come here but ultimately it did not meet my expectations.
We came for lunch and the selection was limited to a soup, a few sandwiches, and some other items. Not exactly what I expected for brunch. I got the Queen's club and while the bread was very tasty, I found that the portion was a little too small. After we finished eating, I was still hungry. My girlfriend got the sausage roll and it was nothing too special. My coffee was a bit bland and did not have the strong coffee taste that I like. To be fair, most reviews for this place are based on the cakes, tarts, and other desserts.
On the bright side, they did get us seated quickly and service is good!
P.
Staff were very nice and interacted well with my son. Food was very tasty, however prices are steep for what you're getting. We didn't have to wait as we arrived just before the lunch rush, but I could see the patience wearing thin on those waiting outside.
We sat outside so we could have a little extra room to breathe but it was a squeeze to fit our orders on the table for the 3 of us.
J. S.
The interior decoration is cute and fun. The cakes look sinfully scrumptious. The blueberry scone and chocolate cake I had were very tasty, just ungodly prices. €6 for a slice of cake is mad. Just don't expect it cheaper in Dublin I suppose.
S.
Cakes look nice, tates okay but nothing to write home about.
Inside the cafe the noise was very loud, some soft furnishings to absorb the sound would be very useful here.
The waitress we had was very friendly and explained things well.
There is a little outside seating area, which is quite nice on a warm day.
A. L.
I dont like the 10% service charge.
The cappuccino was served in a tiny cup, espresso sized. It was mean, its 3.20 euro dont be so miserable. I understand rent, rates and insurance are expensive but that size cup is beyond mean.
Good cakes and service, stop penny pinching it annoys people. I prefer to leave a cash tip for the staff if I deem it appropriate.
L. R.
Great staff, very cosy and relaxed and massive portions
C. B.
Lovely place to go to, beautiful desserts
J. R.
Very friendly staff. They did a great job accommodating my gluten free needs. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy, which was more than welcome on the chilly winter morning that we stopped in. I would definitely stop in if I find myself in Dublin again.
A. K.
Choice of cakes is impressive and usually very tasty. Place has quirky cutlery and friendly staff. Nice spot with to visit with a friend for a desert and coffee. Less impressed with the weekend brunch menu. Usually very busy at the weekend so prepare to wait for a table. Popular with tourists due to TripAdvisor status so hosts an interesting international mix of clientele.
N. P.
The Queen of tarts!!!! There is a huge variety of pastries, tarts and cakes for every taste.
T. P.
We came a here a couple times during our trip to Dublin. It gets quite busy during breakfast when we were there, but the food was worth the wait. We also stopped for a coffee and snack one afternoon and sat outside which was very pleasant on the quiet lane.
S. K.
100% a must in Dublin! A cup of tea like you’d had in your Nana’s and the cakes, I’m still thinking of the all the ones I’m yet to try. The bacon butty isn’t to be missed either ❤️

A lovely little cafe serving breafast brunch and lunch options as well as Desserts and Cakes.
I've only tried the cakes and they were delicious.
I had:
🍰The Carrot Cake - Spiced just right, moist ,speckled with walnuts and covered in a delicious cream cheese frosting.
🍰The Old Fashioned Victorian Sponge - Fluffy delicious buttery Sponge Cake with Raspberries and whipped cream.
THE VERDICT
🔹️My experience was lovely and I'm certain I'll try other items when I return.

On a week day morning - this place is great! Staff isn’t overwhelmed so the service is good, food is delicious, no complaints. We went back a second time on a weekend, and whoa what a difference. The staff either didn’t communicate well with us or each other as trying to sit outside to avoid the wait was more complicated than you’d ever imagine. It is pricey to top it all off... I’d only recommend if you are going on a weekday.
L. S.
I recently went with friends here. Very happy with the cakes and with the place. Unfortunately, the service was not that great. The waitresses were constantly coming over asking if we needed to order other things, despite we were eating, it was not a relaxing moment.
A. M.
Lovely food and the nicest staff you could meet. Amazingly helpful. Felt safe and normal during the visit. Pancakes to die for.
F. I.
Such a lovely little cafe. The staff are always so friendly and they have a great choice of food whether you're being naughty or nice! The coffee is probably my favourite in the city.
N. J.
Excellent fresh breakfast and brunch. Loved the decor as well!
V. R.
Lovely small place. They have a great selection of cakes, tarts, muffin and biscuits. The atmosphere and the service are also very nice. The desert price is around 4-5€ while hot beverages cost between 2 and 6 €.
R. K.
Nestled in the bylanes of dublin, this is a true gem.The avocado toast is superb ,so is the fruit scone. We were recommended this place by our host and though we spent very little time here ,the experience was splendid
A. M.
My absolute favorite bakery in all of Dublin. The scones are delightful and the coffee is on point. I can't really imagine getting something here that was just delicious. I have had soup here for lunch multiple times and never had a bad experience as well.
n. m. C.
Fantastic food, fantastic treats, great service and a wonderful place to meet, sit a while and gather your thoughts before heading out on a shopping trip....or breakfast after a few too many drinks the night before... breakfast is really good btw. Reason only 4 stars is that it is small and you may have to wait a while to get a seat. This can't be helped however and just shows how popular this beautiful hideaway has become
v. a.
Queen of Tarts is one of my favourite places to have coffee and cake - cakes are amazing, especially lemon meringue or chocolate pecan tart. Though savory tarts are equally good. Nice atmosphere, very helpful staff. You can sit outside if you lucky to get table, or take away some very nicely packed cakes.
S. S.
We had the lemon tart and the cheesecake- both were really good!
R. S.
While my wife and I had nice Irish breakfasts every day during our honeymoon in Ireland, the breakfast we had the first day in Dublin at the Queen of Tarts was easily the best. The blueberry scones, iced coffee, cream--everything was delicious and very fresh. It was a perfect way to cap our early morning walk through Dublin. Makes my mouth water just thinking back on it. Would highly recommend.
M. D.
Tasty desserts and nice coffees.
A. A.
Service was amazing, we were seating pretty soon, even though we were pretty large. Staff was friendly, and very willing to answer questions. Food was absolutely delicious, best scones and clotted cream in Dublin. Perfectly understanding of small children (and elderly). I witnessed a hostess help an elderly gentlemen and his wife to their seat. I would reccomend this place to anyone.
B. C.
Great coffee & super yummy scones 😊☕
J. H. K.
Visited for breakfast early in the morning. Although I was expecting some great quality food, Bailey's cheesecake-one of their most popular menus - was no better than what I usually have in NYC. In fact, it tasted just like an ordinary cheesecake with some chocolate at the bottom. Nonetheless, the smoked Irish salmon tasted good and the place felt nice and cozy.
Z. Z.
After relentlessly googling for 'Gluten Free Cake in Dublin' I finally stumbled upon Queen of Tarts. What I was hoping for is that I'll find a place that can turn around a gluten free birthday cake on next to no notice time. Where others politely said 'No', Queen of tarts said 'No problem'. Day later I made someone's day with a gorgeous and absolutely delicious cake, topped with a personal message. Their service is excellent and their product is even better. So save yourself some time when looking for gluten-free treats and try them out.
M. B. e. S.
Bailey's cheesecake is outstanding! I've been there three times and I can't order anything else. The cakes look awesome too. Staff is super nice.
M. O.
Great little cafe for an early breakfast. Didn't have a chance to eat here for their full breakfast (starts a little late) but their early morning fare is great, as are the scones with jam! They have a ton of pastries as well, we picked up a few things to have later on in the day.
J. D.
Perfect experience, de luxe tarts and cheesecake! We visited the place after some waiting due to crowds in and outside, but was worth it! The staff even organized quick improvised birthday muffin with the classical song 🎉 Very nice and pleasant!
T.
Delicious food, had a great beef brisket hot sandwich, coffee & a raspberry baked cheesecake, this was in a pastry case like a tart, with fresh raspberries & was delicious. It's a small cosy place & seems very popular. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it. You can order cakes to take away too.
J. W.
The breakfast here is amazing. Had the avocado toast with poached eggs, a blueberry scone and a flat white, and they were all perfect and delicious. Cozy and warm spot, with a great central location.
A. A.
Very good sweet tarts, tiny space for sitting, mostly filled by locals (but the 2 of us found a table immediately). Little available in terms of savoury bakery. Been to the Queen 9 years ago, again this time, and I'll definitely return the next time I visit Dublin.
S. P.
Lovely place and adorable decoration. Had a delicious blueberry scone with tea. The cakes and pies looked also very attractive. Although it was super full, the waitresses tried to be attentive to our needs and they were also very friendly. At the top of my dublin choices!
S. M.
Best breakfast in Dublin. I had fresh scones and a cuppa one day and the second day I ordered the bacon potato cakes with poached eggs. Totally yummy!
D. H.
Had a delicious supper here while visiting. My daughter discovered this charming little place that is big on taste and charm. There is not a huge selection but what there is is tasty and well presented. I had the chicken, mushroom and leek pot pie followed by a delicious apple crisp. My daughter enjoyed the Leek, asparagus tart, along with the plum tart. It is a hidden gem.
C. S.
Loved this place so much, I went back 2 days in a row! Betwen the visits, I tried the blondie, blueberry scone, and caramel chocolate shortbread. All were fantastic, but the blondie was particularly amazing. Service is friendly and ambiance is also great. Highly recommended!
D. P.
A little underwhelming. This place has a pretty good reputation for desserts, however we found quality has decreased since our last visit. The place was very busy and we had a few issues with the service (wrong order, missing menu options, and quite a few delays to get served and to pay). I might go back, but for me, it has lost its reputation
A. K.
One of the first places I went for brunch in Dublin and still there in the top three. Freshly prepared, delicious food, my favourite being freshly baked blueberry and raspberry scones with clotted cream - heaven!
M. H.
I had a frittata here. I loved it but it wasn't served at correct temperature. The salad was a bit dull for my well developed palette but for a novice I'm sure it would satisfy. The interior is traditionally quaint and quirky. Staff were adorable. I loved the haphazard experience and suggest that you try this place regardless of this review. Overall the sweetness in this premesis deserves full attention.
F. S.
Five stars all round!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such a cool spot, amazing food!
But my favourite part was the welcoming staff and friendly banter, our waitress Sarah really made our meal a treat, she was so friendly and happy, you can tell she loves her job! We will definitely be back for more treats!!
I. T.
Pretty overfilled at the weekends, service seems slightly overwhelmed with that. That said, the food is really good and special. We had breakfast there and it was delicious. The homemade relish gives a really unique taste.
L. C.
Delicious Irish breakfast. Great place to have tea and pastries. Apple tart was exceptional. The blueberry scone was a little on the dry side; I assume because of less butter, which I'm okay with. Great service!
M. P.
Best breakfast options in town.
P. K.
Very good service; delicious variety of lunches & sweet things!
R. A.
The decor is very quaint and the cakes...dear god the cakes...are divinely scrumptious! Its a bit dear though so can't come here too often or I'd go broke. The main negative point is that its too small so its usually packed!
W. S. M.
I've been there many years ago, so I was sadly surprised when I noticed that all savoury tarts that they used to have are gone. Only one choice of savoury tart, the rest is sweet cakes only. The food is still very good and service is excellent, but the name of the place isn't representative of the food you get there any longer 😐
E. M.
Enjoyed brunch so much we've been back 3 times in a week!! Great food and friendly staff. Would recommend it to anyone, cake is great too!
D. R.
Arrived right before closing time and could only take away the desserts, but it was totally worth it. Extremely friendly staff and amazing taste. Definitely going back for the in-store experience!
Y. F.
Delicious cakes! Friendly staff. Cozy place.
E. V.
Really loved it. Low to medium price. Their desserts are amazing. Come early if you want to have a chance to try their famous scones
j.
Queen of Tarts was so fabulous that we went there four times in our short time in Dublin. Everything on the menu is fabulous, service was prompt, and we had no trouble getting seated. Get there early if you want to snag the lemon tart. It's worth it!
A.
Love the food here. I'm not a fan of avocado but I tried Avocado on toast and loved it. Their cakes and macaroons are delicious too. An excellent place to visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and frequently
P. D.
Just a wonderful place! Out of this world & absolutely amazing food!!!!! We ate here on our 2nd day and have compared food to this place all week. It's small, so be prepared to grab and go if they are packed. And if you sit, in true Irish fashion be patient. Or order your food at the counter and then sit.
A. M.
You have to visit here if you go to Dublin!! Small, vintage café which does get busy but the table turn around is pretty quick and any wait is definitely worth it!!! Friendly service and cakes to die for! We couldn't decide which to have so ended up sharing 3 different ones, each as good as the other. Our fav had to be the blackberry and apple crumble....delicious!!!
C. K.
Omg! All just amazing!
Go for breakfast, you won't regret it!
K. O.
Stumbled upon this place for brunch our first morning in Dublin. What a treat. The food was great, and the pastries were very well done. Glad we stopped by and definitely recommend!
R. D.
One of the best places to have bakery items with a wide variety of cakes to try. I had the pleasure to try one of their tarts with Aubergine. I must say it was amazing.
F. P.
best cakes ever eaten. astonishing carrot cake.
R. P.
The Queen of Tarts is surely the Queen of all pastries. Very unique and enjoyable eatery. Their breakfast menu has many appealing items that it would take over a week to try all the ones I'd like to try.
t.
Best coffee of the city! We went for a shorttrip to Dublin and were looking for a place with good breakfast/brunch offers and especially good coffee. The avocado toast we ordered with some extra feta (we had to pay extra for it) was delicious. But the coffeeshop is often crowded and it‘s loud in there. Not a place to have a coffee in peace and silence. :)
i.
Cheesecake is good lemon tart soso
A. H.
Queen of tarts sells my favourite desserts in Dublin. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and the food is good, what's not to like ? Try their cheesecake !
S.
Nice cafe and cakes. The place is very homely. In the negative side: I still surprise every time the extra charge me for choose soya, (or any alternative milk), instead of cow milk. As a lactose intolerance drink cow milk isn't an option. Also, the extra charges should be advice on the menu at the very least. Very disappointed with this type of negative discrimination. This is the reason I am not given 5 starts.
J. C.
A nice tea house with a French feel to it. The service was friendly. The lunch was pretty good. The cakes were nothing special hence the rating. It's a busy place so many people must think more highly of it than I do.
J. G.
Great lunch and deserts and their homemade lemonade is to die for. It was actually very good value too. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's very hard to get service
S. P.
Does what it says on the tin great service great cake
S. Y.
Stopped by for coffee. Very cosy, nice staff and beautiful décor.
F. O.
When I'm not in Dublin, this is one of my favourites that I miss. Their sweet and savoury tarts are delish and seasonal fresh. Although the service can be a bit lacklustre and it is usually packed for lunch, it is worth the wait. I have yet to have a meal there and be disappointed. Or leave anything other than stuffed!
D. M.
We went to this place twice. The first time we had a fairly good breakfast. The second time we went for lunch and it was not really good. The store on Dame street is quite small and crowed with tourists. If you are looking for something special go somewhere else. The service was average. At our second visit it seems they tried to ignore us for quite a while. For a good Irish dinning experience I would rather go somewhere else.
M. D.
Friendly service and delicious cakes in a cosy environment. Would recommend going when it's quieter. Had to deduct one star for price as it was €5.50 for one slice of cake, which can be steep
J. T.
Small and cozy caffee shop, delicious cakes to choose, friendly service
P. H.
We had to wait in line outside to be seated because it was really really busy that day. They didn't have all cakes in stock, but the one I got was delicious and the staff was doing their best to keep everyone happy.
T. S.
This place is really tasty! I was on the run so I picked up a few things to go. I got a savory scone with fennel and goat cheese and Moroccan stuffed pastry. The food was really tasty and the staff were very nice.
v. c.
Their cakes and tarts are one of the best in Dublin I believe, tried their blueberry and apple crumble tart, it was divine! Really want to try out all of their desserts! Besides, their coffee is also very good as well!
M. C.
We dragged our jet lagged bodies here for breakfast/brunch. We were able to get right in. The cheesy eggs over scone was DEEElicious. Small, cute place, not far from our hotel(The Morgan)
a. c.
Wonderful home made food. Very friendly staff. Great location. The only reason I've given it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service is so slow. Its probably because everything is freshly prepared but it could be a problem is you have a short or restricted length of time to spend.
L. K.
So many tempting treats! Love going there for cakes and tea. The waitresses are always very nice , I was just a bit dissapointed with my chai latte last time I went because it was served in a water glass and still had loads chai powder stuck to the spoon and at the bottom
O. S.
Cute place, quite the selection of teas, coffees, and pastries! The breakfast menu is also quite good. I had the granola, which was good but too sweet for my taste.
E.
Scones and Apple tarts are the best in town but coffee is terrible. It is overpriced for the quality of the coffee you get. They charge extra for soy milk and instead using a good brand like alpro to make their coffees they use a very low quality brand which makes coffee adopt a weird and awful taste. Have your coffee somewhere else if you don't want to waste your money.
S. B.
Amazing!!! Apple crumble and tarts were amazing!! Coffee average but hot chocolate spot on :) lovely atmosphere and the lovely lady the serviced us was very good for her first day!!
R. R.
Very cute restaurant, good food
E. S.
Small seated area so be prepared to wait for a table otherwise takeaway. Delicious array of sweet cakes. The raspberry scone was a personal favorite!
N. C.
There are two places: go to the second one, not on Dame St. ;-) Too busy;-)
C. T.
I was in Dublin for 4 days and my airbnb was right across the street from QoT. We had breakfast there every morning. I would recommend the scones. They were some of the best I've ever had. The prices were reasonable and the service was fantastic.
K. B.
Great coffees and desserts! Very busy place for a good reason
D. R.
This is a great place for afternoon tea, with amazing desserts, along with lunch options, and of course breakfast and a brunch menu at the weekend. They have gluten free and dairy free dessert options available sometimes, just ask the staff are really friendly.
D. G.
The raspberry meringue thing they serve here is so good.
M. T.
Absolutely delicious cakes, friendly service and reasonable prices. A bit if a wait outside, but to be expected on a rainy Saturday.
G. 1.
The best cakes and deserts in Dublin. Good brunch and lunch options too. Only downside is that it's very busy at peak times and there's often a queue to get in. It's worth the wait!
D. T.
Very average cafe. It used to be "Go To Cafe" in Dublin years ago. I found the prices for simple cakes like carrot cake or Victoria Sponge cake of € 5.50 to high. Had a sandwich with soup, which was just like anything you get in a pub. I would certainly expect more from a cafe like this one.
L. G.
Very nice tarts and cakes in a quiet side street. The friendly staff was very helpful and service was rather swift. Perfect place for a break during a long day touristing around!
g. g. g.
Cakes/ tarts are ok. Nothing WoW! Can get a bit crowded.
W. H.
Excellent across the board. The eggs and scones are lovely.
J. A. H.
Very tasty food, friendly, attentive employees, owned by two super lovely sisters. Food made on premises. Genuine and lovely, comfy atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back!
A. L.
Got seating quickly but took ages to take our order and then bring the cake. Had carrot cake which was lively and huge slice. Hot chocolate ok, not thick but a bit watery
K. B.
One of my favorite things about my trip to Dublin. Loved it so much, we went back multiple times! My only regret is not grabbing a mug while I was there!
M. T.
One of the best place to start your day in Dublin as a tourist. It is situated bang opposite of Dublin castle.
They also have one another outlet 2 min walk away which has more capacity of sitting in side and outside.
As far as I have observed the main road outlet get close early then the other one.
Try anything here and you will never regret it.
O. H.
I had a cheese toastie and the soup of the day - creamy cauliflower vegetable with feta. The toastie was pretty huge! I was expecting a small dainty sandwich from a tea/desserts place like this, and was pleasantly surprised. It tasted good, however it was stone cold. I also didn't notice any caramelized onion or dijon that was listed on the menu. I would give it another shot and hope to get a hot toastie, as it was still a good hearty meal. The soup was great. I didn't have any dessert but they were all very tempting!
M.
Good desserts and tea, the sandwiches are actually very good here. Staff don't always speak English well, but many are students from the area and friendly. Right next to a bookshop and Gaiety theatre.
A. O.
At the beginning I was head over heels with Queen of Tarts, as the cake situation in Dublin was quite dire.
Nowadays it is difficult to get a table and there are less raspberries in the raspberry scones (I've heard Irish ladies agree with me unknowingly).
The food is still good, but I find that I am not making an effort to go there any more.
K. M.
A cute little tea and sweets shop. The place is cozy with very small tables but cute decor and a good experience for visitor to Dublin. Your tea is served in cute flower tea cups. Therefore not as popular with men but a good place for tea with the girls.
L. D. N.
Always a lovely, cosy atmosphere here. The staff is not the most friendly to be honest, but they are polite and that is more than made up for by the taste and the variety of food to choose from. It's a goid place to go for a quick lunch by yourself or to meet friends for tea and cake.
B. V.
Great Brunch Tarts and Sweets
R. v. D.
Great place to enjoy thee/coffee and delicious tarts. The carrot cake and tje chocolate fudge are especially recommended 🥰🍰
S. M.
I had the Irish Reuben, tomatoe soup, and some minced pies to go. Despite being busy the staff were tentative. The food was divine. I was very pleased.
M. B.
One of the best cakes I've ever eaten. Lovely place and best service.
S. A.
It is always a pleasure to visit this place. Love all the menu. Highly recommended for a sweet bite! Also great sandwiches!
A. R.
I've tried the Baileys chocolate cheesecake, it tastes really good. And the orange juice is simply the perfect mix between a normal orange soda and a fresh orange juice.
The waiter is really friendly and a nice person.
T. P.
Best breakfast in Dublin. Service wasn't that great though. We ordered a pot of tea that took 20 minutes to get.
I'm excited to go back and try more...
A. K.
This is a nice coffee/tea shop in Dublin. They have lots of sweets and baked goods too. We saw more than a few international visitors, so it is a good place to meet new people.
C. O.
Lovely cafe with great cakes. Nice cosy atmosphere. Very busy at lunchtimes. Good spot for a casual catch up and coffee with friends.
O. K.
Excellent place for coffee and cake. My family loved it. As a party of five we had to wait 15min to get a seated. Was well worth it.
K. N.
Ohhhhh yes! Not to be missed, when you fancy a coffee and little sweet something in Dublin. Best cakes and tarts, but also very good savoury choices.
Try to get a space in the original small coffee.
A. Y.
Very nice people service was quick and food was delicious!

Stopped in here for some lunch. Had a sandwich, pastry and a coffee. I was really impressed by how delicious everything tasted. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful to every customer even when it was really busy.
T. M.
Very busy, but well worth it. We stopped in for a quick bite while roaming around in Dublin on the advice of our photographer. Lunch was delicious.
A. C.
Cosy location, we had a very good breakfast there. Very big and tasty scones. We couldn't try the cakes and tarts, but they looked awesome.
E. K.
Their breakfast victuals were perfection. Fresh pastries, sweet delights and hearty Irish breakfasts.
Delightfully helpful staff for those with small children or smaller brains.
M. O.
Quaint, affordable, and adorable. Great little shop with good food. Will return just based on the breakfast we had this morning. The wait staff was attentive and everything was ideal. Highly recommended.

Lovely coffee and staff
A. J.
Great food, with great variety. Delicious tarts!
J. W.
Ordered the Avocado toast with two poached eggs and chorizo. Not being able to finish it will be one of the great regrets in my life. I'm being honest when I say I've thought about that meal every single say since.
R. W.
Lovely little place to eat. The staff were all very accommodating to my dietary requirements and very helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend a visit.
R. H.
We had the pulled ham sandwich and Victoria sponge. The bread was crusty and wonderful, and the sponge was sweetened perfectly. Great spot to stop!
M. D.
I had the most delicious brunch here and the desserts are always SO delicious! I make it a point to visit here everytime I'm in Dublin!
C. W.
Incredible scones! I got cheese eggs on top of a scone and it was delicious! I'd recommend asking them not to toast the scone though, it was a little too hard and crunchy to eat.
M. A.
So yummy delicious and fresh highly recommended cakes and tarts the have vegan options and alcohol free as well i guess , just ask but nice place , they have 2 branches a 1 min walk away and very friendly staff there and good drinks as well , a must if you are visiting Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪, people recommend the breakfast here as well I personally haven’t tried it but saw a lot of customers having breakfast and branch in here 👌🏻
t. c.
Love this place to have a delicious cake and nice coffee. However they could have more gluten-free and dairy free options.
W. H.
Food was good. Service was terrible. Had to wait more than 30 minutes for coffee and simple breakfast. They forgot 1 breakfast so that person had to wait 15 minutes more. Portion size differ per plate. Taste was good
T. Y.
I always make a stop here when I'm in Dublin. Love the vibe, the vast platters of desserts, and the service is usually quite good. Scones and blackberry/apple crumble are my recommendations. Pavlova too!
M. A. G.
Do you want to try the best cakes ever? If the answer is yes, this is your place! Enjoy your coffee and your piece of cake in a very cute place in the centre of Dublin.
A. O. (.
Very tasty food, but the service is erratic. One of our party did not get served until well after the others despite having a simpler order. Other people nearby seemed to have similar experiences.
D. B.
Lovely place, the people are kindly and the plates were special. I ate a great sandwich with salad and a carrot soup.
The dessert was wonderful, chocolate pecan tart!
Not much expansive.
G. A.
Amazing breakfast at Queen of tarts, avocado on toast with poached eggs and the hearty breakfast were both fantastic.
Rounded off nicely with a raspberry scone.
Friendly staff
K. R.
We loved Queen of Tarts so much we made a 2nd trip on our way back through. We loved the food, the space, & the service. We may make a trip back just for the Queen of Tarts!!
A. B.
Went for scones and tea on a whim and quite enjoyed it. The tea wasn't exactly to my liking but I am a huge fan of the scones and cream!
Service was quick and friendly.
M. C.
this is a must visit for me everytime I come to Dublin. Super cozy place, with personel that trully makes you feel welcome and absolutelly delicious food.
I would spend my days here, soooo nice.
thank you so much 💚
C. L.
Gorgeous food, especially cakes, and very friendly staff. Plenty of nice cozy seating too
D. K.
Loved it here, very cute and quirky. Service was really bad, which is such a shame. Food was great, but they don't have ketchup for the bacon and sausage!!!! Amazing scones
a. p.
Great cafe with good breakfast and brunch. Outdoor seating makes it cosy and accessible during summers. One of my favourite brekkie spots in Dublin.
m. a.
my best friend told me that she ate really great cake in some place called 'Queen of Tart'. I couldn't believe her because she's baking THE most AMAZING cakes, brownies in the world. But I was curious so I went.....and from that day I am in huge trouble. Why? I can forget about diet, for sure. And my friend's cakes....don't taste the same. :)
R. G.
Fantastic place for cakes, particularly the carrot cake. So far I've tried everything on the lunch menu and I cannot fault a single dish, beautifully concocted dishes, the frittatas are my favourite!
L. H.
Newer of the two Queen of Tarts location, with a lot more seating indoor and outdoors. beautiful selection of tarts and pastries, a great place to grab afternoon tea and casually people watch along Cow's lane.
A. I.
I love the cakes in here,I discovered them through a friend and I had a gluten free cheesecake.Very nice cake,I will definitely go back.
C. A.
Great place to enjoy a day out, have some coffee and cake.
A. T.
Awesome lunch. Fast service, even though it was a very busy lunch time. All staff were very polite and helpful. The sandwiches are lovely, and the atmosphere was really nice.
C. S.
Can get busy at times and you may need to wait. But they have excellent choice of meals and desserts. I especially love the pecan pie
n. s.
Great variety and mouth-watering displays the tastes were suberb.Staff always smiling. Steyed 4 days in dublin. Visited queen of tarts 4 times. Unmissable
S. W.
Fab little cafe in the city centre. Great for a coffee and cake but also a great place for lunch. They make excellent homemade soup and Lovely sandwiches.
N. F.
One of the best breakfasts in Dublin (I haven't tried them for lunch, yet!). A must-stop (usually multiple times) whenever I'm in the city.
N. K.
Very cozy with many places to sit. Delicious food with a lot of varieties to choose from. Overall an awesome place to spend a Saturday morning with family or friends! Highly recommended.
C. H.
We went there twice in two days. Everything is simply delicious! The staff is friendly, the place is pretty. I highly recommend it! But watch out, in the evening they're sometimes sold out.
I. K.
We ordered the chocolate pear and almond tart and the raspberry cheecake tart. Both were tasty but the pastries were a bit too dry. It's considered pricy for the tarts.
D. M.
Best cakes in town!
S. H.
Had a takeaway cake and tea, really savoury and the staff is lovely!
Highly recommend this place
g.
We had breakfast here and it was very good. The scones were delicious. Coffee was small by Canadian standards but still good.
L. M.
Can I give six stars? It was a true delight to sit in this cozy bakery and sip delicious tea and eat sweet cakes. Everything, from the food to the service, was spectacular. ⭐️
J. Z.
I tried a portion of baylies cheesecake with an herb tea -that was actually tea bag. Even it was a little pricey, It worths every bite and cent. Would come back for trying other cakes
H. W.
Excellent deserts and good sandwiches.
S. N.
You haven't been to Dublin if you haven't been to the Queen of Tarts. Equally you haven't been to the Queen of Tarts unless you have indulged in their Bailey's chocolate chip cheesecake. Delighted this has been on the menu over the years.
Sadly on this occasion on Cow's Lane 19th 08th we stood in a queue for 20minutes behind a sign stating "please wait to be seated. Thank you"
It appeared people were skipping the queue until we reaslied what was going on. NAMES ON A LIST? Where does it say that? We were not the only ones waiting like eegits.
So after understanding what was happening and getting our name on this secret list we were waiting for 30 mins to be seated.
In fairness the staff need to be allocated a section. The chap taking the names needed to be in control which he lacked. It was far from clear what was going on.
Would I go back and even recommend? Absolutely. But please, if you're taking a list please state that on the signage you have out front and have your staff trained to be more attentive.
L. G. P.
It's quite famous place, place was very busy, looks good and staff was great, but I was actually expecting more for the food.
The tea pot though is a charm, and it is very well served.
K.
Absolutely delicious desserts in the coziest cafe. I loved the chocolate pecan tart and the apple crumble. The service was extremely friendly as well.
K. O.
The best cake I've ever had. First went here when I was in college and now nearly 10 years later I still go. Food has never ceased to be delicious!
K. K.
Heard the stories and expected so much more, the cakes are good but amazing, the décor and service is great but I think the hype and weak coffee killed it for me.
N. W.
We come here regularly for coffee and treats every Sunday. The carrot cake and pecan tarts are regular winners. Excellent lattes as well.
O. D.
Very cute place. Service is good and the cakes are quite good but not legendary. Never tasted the lunch menu though. But it seems good!
V. C.
AMAZING food and coffee - get the Bailey's chocolate chip cheesecake. So good. Queen of Tarts is also near the Temple Bar district so it's a perfect stop.
L.
Wonderful. I had Salmon and Scrambled Eggs with salad and bread. Absolutely delicious. Lemon Meringue was over the top!!!
S. S.
The famous cafe of Dublin. Really nice decoration. Has one vegan cake. However pricey.
C. T. D.
What a nice place! So cozy and cute, very inviting. Delicious cakes and I had a great cappuccino. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
陳.
They have good service, cozy dinning place, nice cakes. We had breakfast there with good portions.
E. S.
The breakfast was great and the staff is really nice. The atmosphere was cosy, but the venue was small, so expect a bit of waiting time if you are a group on more than two.
S.
Absolutely delicious and amazing decor, well worth the prices!
Lovely waitresses/waitors
Overall fantastic will definitely be back
T. M.
Cakes and pasteries are amazing, but my fiancee ordered breakfast, bacon & leek cakes, 100% tasted like they came out of a microwave.
A. W.
Amazing food, amazing coffee, great service and a comfortable atmosphere. My only complaint is that I live 2000 miles away and can’t come more often!
N. P.
Warm and homy interieur, offering an extensive selection of home-baked goodies. Special attention to celiac intolerant customers. the place is getting crazy popular, hopefully they will not become a victim of their own success.
c. a.
CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I ENJOYED THIS LITTLE SHOP!
S. P.
They sorted an odd cake order for me and it went down a treat. Had a spot of lunch in here also and it was tasty and not overpriced like some cafés.
T. W.
Excellent! First visit so I only tried the cheesecake tart. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.
R. G.
Nice place to eat delicious homemade tarts! I'm not recommending to take your lunch here, but it's perfect to make a break and take a coffee with a piece of tart.
G. M.
Great cakes! Baileys cheesecake is a good one!
K.
Sat outside. Staff was very friendly. Omelette, French toast, and ham/Brie sandwich were great. Go! It’s fun.
T. P.
The Hearty Breakfast was delicious. The quality of the meats was excellent. Everything cooked well.
P. C.
Cozy café with delicious cakes
M. J.
Was recommended by the hotel we were staying in. It was clearly a popular place as it was quite crowded! We had a few biscuits and a cupcake and they were amazing. Would recommend!
L. P.
We stumbled upon this café and we ate the most amazing tarts and cakes. We came back the day after. Good for tea and coffee as well. Kind waiters
L. D.
I have only ordered two things here, both more times than I remember, because they are perfect, new York cheese cake and Cappuccino, I even bought a full cheese cake as a birthday cake. Delish
L. v. S.
Lovely place for a coffee/tea and a tart. An amazing amount of specialty cakes, tarts etc. Definitely a place to drop by, if you're in the neighborhood.
A. C.
Best chocolate cake .. ever
C. O.
Lovely ambiance. Had great breakfast there, beans on toast!! Great for coffee and cakes too! Friendly helpful staff
J. C.
I can see the appeal of QoT but I am always let down by the cakes. However, it's a cozy cafe. It's true that it's always busy but there is always their sister cafe just around the corner in Cow Lane if you need your fix
S. C.
Perfect for a special lunchtime coffee and dessert, especially on a warm day when you can sit out. I get lemon meringue tart every time.
V. V.
They don't have heaters outside. So if you are deciding to eat outside you will be freezing and still be paying a lot of money for a desert. Very slow attention.
D. H.
Decent prices for overwhelming food and drinks. Friendly and nice staff. Perfect place to have delicious cake in the afternoons.
D. D.
Have people not had good cakes/tarts before? This place was utterly disappointing. Everything was ok/good, but not memorable. At €4 per piece, I expected more.
K. &. C. P.
Healty food prepared with tasty spices & sauces. Moderately priced on a charming street on outskirts of Temple Bar. Patio seats allow for relaxing meal & people - watching.
K. K.
Great little cafe/bakery for a coffee and a scone. I had the savory scone and my wife had the raspberry scone. We loved them both.
A.
The Irish Reuben was delicious!
M. L. W.
Cutest little place with the same cafe a super short walk away from it so if one is full you can go the other. Such amazing soup and desserts!
c. m.
Love this place. Food is gorgeous. Well priced for great quality.
Cakes are out of this world and the coffee is perfect.
R. H.
Went here for breakfast every morning with my wife while staying in Dublin. Great place - amazing scones.
E. H.
Amazing tarts, great scones amazing coffee and superb customer service
O.
The best breakfast I had in years! Super balanced price v/s quality. Great Jazzy ambiance, friendly staff
M. O.
Love Queen of Tarts - a must stop in Dublin
M. P.
Gluten free breakfast: really good😊
S. H.
Sweet little café with beautiful cakes including gluten free options - when I went they had an orange cake and raspberry baked cheesecake!
A. H.
The cake was okay but the Service took forever. We waited nearly 50 mins for two coffees and a lot of tea, with a cake each. The queue was out the door though.
S. R.
It was very good, but a bit overrated. Just keep expectations in check. A great bakery but doesn't stand above the rest.
I. K.
Lovely breakfast, friendly staff and lovely fresh food. The cafe has a great feeling to it, making everyone feel welcome and homely!!
N. P. G.
Perfect place for a traditional tea cake and a cup of tea! They also have lovely potato cakes and great lattes!!!
A. S.
Amazing breakfast menu , friendly staff, cute and quirky cafe with adorable antique style.
A. K.

Nice cakes and drink options.. reccomended!
R. K.
Lovely cakes and even nicer setting.
J. L.
I like the atmosphere of this place and also the staffs are really friendly!
But the cake I ordered was a bit too sweet
A.
Quite expensive and usually quite busy but worth it. Good service and great food, one of my favourite places for breakfast when I'm in Dublin.
V. L.
Good food and pastries. Excellent service. Favorite place to eat would highly recommend.
S. F.
Good tarts, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. If you want a full cake or tart make sure to call ahead
B. F.
Really good food both savory and sweet but you might need to wait to be seated since its usually busy.
I. P.
Extremely tasty food (the soup, the sandwiches and especially the cakes). Very friendly and helpful staff. We will return for sure!
K. S.
Great little shop for pastries, tea, coffee, breakfast, or lunch. Food is delicious. Sometimes hard to get a table as they are quite popular
