Reviews of The Bloody Stream

Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! Was let down by a local restaurant, they were able to accommodate us! It was the first time since lockdown my friends group got to meet for food and a pint! Even the bothersome wasps (we sat outside) were not enough to spoil our afternoon.
H. S.
Good food, nice staff, and fresh fish! Fish and chips is well done and at a great price.
l. s.
Great atmosphere and amazinfg food - we had the fish and chips and a couple of oysters which were delicious!
s. d.
As normal the food was outstanding we all had different dishes and we all really enjoyed the mains .
C. Z.
Really good fresh, crisp fish & chips at €13.95. They also give a nice serving with abundance of sauces. The portion can easily feed 2!

We visited here today and I can honestly say the gentlemen working here were by far the best I have ever seen in any establishment. They were incredibly efficient, pleasant and so helpful. My husband needed hot water and a glass for his lempsip and this was done with a smile and the glass was also heated. These little things go along way for us. We were so impressed. The food was top notch. The best scampi have ever had. We will certainly be returning. Great coffee also.

On most summer days they provide a bench and table outside with the heaters on... which i really found it quite satisfying when were having a get together with friends and family. They also provide Delish food to have to.

I came in this restaurant yesterday for lunch with my mom and sister for eating 3 seafood chowder and 2 portion of chips for lunch time. We asked some bread with butter before they could bring seafood chowder and 2 portions of chips 🍟 seafood chowder was really yummy and tasty 😋 but they let me pay 3€ for the bread who I asked, and I felt disappointed. I expressed my frustration and the waiter told me: unfortunately it’s like that. I have been living 8 years in Ireland and none never let me pay bread. Probably they thought we were tourists, but I’m not. I give 4 stars for this.

Really nice wholesome food, really good service very enjoyable.

Fabulous lunch spot. Food was top notch. The gentlemen working here should be praised as they made sure we were well looked after. Very professional and attentive. 5 stars from us amd we will certainly be returning.

Exceptional food, brilliant atmosphere, such friendly helpful staff and allows dogs in the outside area which is heated. I cannot recommend enough.

Went there for Nicky's Birthday.. Everybody enjoyed it. I'll recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy place with Good Food.. Hennie-The South African 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

Always a pleasure to visit The Bloody Stream. As the fish & chips are always super fresh and perfectly cooked, I seldom look at the rest of the menu. The staff are friendly, professional and service is prompt. The Guinness is always top class. Location wise.... The indoor areas are old world and full of character. The outdoor seating is excellent.... Being set down several steps below street level, on a sunny day, it is a perfect sun trap and you can watch people passing. Another bonus is you can't hear any traffic noise.

Dined in a lovely setting with a real log fire. Great food with very welcoming service. I will be back.
A. S.
Staff fabulous. Beer went down a treat. Love this bar. I had the scampi - the batter wasn't great - hard, thick, tasteless. Chips and chicken wings were yummmmm. I would definitely go back - but eat something else!!!!
S. S.
Lovely Christmas meal, fantastic service by cheerful chatty staff, delightful Christmas atmosphere
Z.
Lovely place to eat. Nice outside terrace. Food was amazing!! I was very impressed. I had muscles, crab claws and gambas. It's hard to find a good seafood restaurant so I thoroughly recommend these guys. Plus a nice pint of Guinness!
W. K.
Went in really excited as had not been here despite visiting other Howth eateries numerous times. Reviews seemed great too. Staff were very pleasant. However food was a let down and some of it ie children's sausages very poor quality and possibly frozen??? Choc brownie was also almost inedible, very dry. Children's changing facilities needs a revamp. A drunken punter walking around without a mask coming to our table and wanting to shake hands, not told off by staff. Maybe we were just unlucky but unfortunately won't be returning.
J. H.
We loved our experience! While I had the fish, hubby had beef and Guinness pie, and our daughter had a steak that was so flavourful and tender it was not to be believed! Location is great!
J. P.
The food is pretty good - taste/size/price. They do pretty good fish and chips too. You’ll also find a good selection of beers (ask the barman, in their menu they list less then they offer).
I like the feel of the pub, although I was a bit disappointed when on Saturday evening when the pub was quite empty we had remind ourselves that we would like to order food and drinks.
A. F.
Service was erratic. The place is not very wheelchair friendly. Drink is overpriced and I was not impressed bt the food. It was not overcrowded for a Friday night. There was some difficulty in scanning our Covid19 passports. So, in brief, on your own head be it.
M. H.
Booked 2 outdoor tables for last Sunday afternoon but as the weather wasnt as nice as expected, we asked to change to indoors. There was no problem with this change & we were shown to our tables.
Staff were so friendly and helpful as always. Nothing was too much trouble.
Although it was earlyish in the day, there was a nice atmosphere there.
When the food arrived, it was piping hot, fresh & full of flavour.
Have been here lots of times and the only negative for me is that parking in Howth is getting more difficult to come by. Train Station is attached to The Bloody Stream so I suggest either give yourself plenty of time to get parking in advance of your reservation time, or get on the train and avoid the stress of traffic, before you enjoy a fab night of eating.
Definitely recommend.
J. R. G.
Excellent service! Amazing food!
R. S. (.
Good food, good service. I had the seafood platter and the smoked salmon was very very good. I also had 1/2 a dozen oysters that were very good too. Wine lovers stay away from the reds.
s. C.
Thank you to the team at the bloody stream
Amazing the service is beyond more then you can expect great choice off a menu to choose from
The best fish and chips available in howth
Definitely will return again
You guys made a sad Day end good after we where let down in a Different place we had booked
Keep up the great service very friendly place
Thank you
L. O. N.
Hats off to the staff at the Bloody Stream in Howth during these challenging times. From booking / reservation ( Gerald ) to Dinning ( Alan ) they were absolutely excellent. Myself and my husband visited on Wednesday night & they couldn’t have been nicer. Never at any stage did we feel there was a time limit & that there was pressure to finish our food, so much so that even after our 2hrs ( when we were not really ready to finish up for the night ;-) ) they brought a table and chairs from inside and set us up outside in our own little spot to enjoy a few after dinner refreshments :-). With service like that we’ll definitely be coming back, Keep up the good.
S. F.
A great place to eat in Howth. Couldn't fault it. The staff working here were great. Thank you. We enjoyed our meal.
F. A.
Couldn't be more conveniently situated! Just below the Dart station in beautiful Howth. Don't let it fool you though, You can't hear the train above you so be sure to keep an eye on the train times... We had a few extra drinks as we kept missing the trains! (Not complaining though...). We could have stayed for hours longer! Great drinks. Lovely Guinness. Absolutely worthy of a stop on your way in or out of Howth.
B. M.
Had lunch in the Bloody Stream today. Great venue, friendly staff & the food hit the spot perfectly.
P. W.
Chicken wings are delicious! Great tasting sauce! Scones and tea are grand as well! They make a great desert. The venue is very unique and cool! I really enjoyed the fire place and my husband enjoy his royal chair!
My one complaint would be the wait to get our check. We waited quite sometime after we got our food without anyone checking on us. My husband then flagged the waitress down to ask for our check. Even after asking for it we waited for sometime. Eventually my husband got up and went and paid it. Being we are from the states, I'm not sure if this is common or to be expected.
F. C.
Very welcoming staff, we had a great time and everything was delicious indeed! We’ll come back for sure!
a. j.
It's right beside the howth station so location wise very good. The ambience is good they have live music from 9pm. Food is good too but the onion rings are too oily so avoid ordering those.
R. G.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great food and loved the fireplace. Great meal at end of long day of traveling.
C. C.
Great food, friendly servers . Very reasonable prices
D. H.
Food was good; would recommend the fish & chips or burger. Highlight was the desert, the apple crumble and cheesecake were excellent.
Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive.
M. C.
Lovely little spot for lunch, fish(cod) & chips was fab ! Couldn't finish it as had a starter .
B. L.
Visited the Bloody Stream with my daughter and had a really great time. The food is excellent, a good choice and very reasonable. The service was also excellent and all the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back and highly recommend the restaurant to others.
C. D.
Excellent food Service was amazing Great staff Decor was beautiful Gorgeous log fire so comfy Would recommend 100%
D. R.
Good Guinness, nice oysters. Oysters are expensive in Ireland but there you are.
Service not as quick as it could be but I think they're a bit short staffed since the lockdown.
R. K.
Great service and atmosphere and lovely food. It's a great place to have food if you're on a day out in Howth and it's right beside the DART station.
N. S.
Staff was running around on the day we were there trying to cope but good service over all.
The kitchen though... the kitchen is churning out incredible seafood platters. It costs quite a bit but is totally worth it. The quality of the seafood is incredible but how it’s cooked (to perfection, not overcooked) and the ingredients themselves which are extremely fresh, is tough to beat. The fish cakes had chunky bits of fish in them.
The sauces for the shrimp and the mussels are *amazing* standouts.
I’m not doing the warm seafood platter justice with how I’m describing it but it is very very good, well above the usual food quality bar in Ireland. Huge high five to the kitchen.
A. K.
Pros:- Great taste, very good service, good experience overall.
Cons:- To nitpick, a bit expensive and one of the starters had a very small portion size, the beer seemed a little watered down.
C.
This place was fantastic! The food was excellent. We ordered beef and Guinness stew, fish and chips, & a burger and chips. Each one was delicious. Drinks were well made. Ambience was great with dark wood and a fire place going. Our server was very friendly. I highly recommend checking it out.
S. V.
I went to the Bloody Stream for dinner Friday night with a friend and it was just lovely. We sat outside, next to a heater so never got too chilly. I had the pan fried salmon which was excellent. I think the best part of the whole experience was the incredible service provided by our waiter, Patrick. We were so well looked after, we ended up staying for a good few hours. Would highly recommend popping in to Bloody Stream whether for food or just a drink.
M. M.
Good Food, nice atmosphere. Fond memories of squeezing in to get a pint at a 5 deep bar 20 years ago.
T. D. R.
A cozy fire going on a cold damp day, along with a delicious bowl of seafood chowder ! Great prompt service. The perfect location for a stop before getting on the train!
M. B.
Great place to be. The food is very good, the staff is friendly and at the weekends the place rocks till late. Located inside the building of the Dart Station, this pub is located in the main entrance and exit to Howth. There is basically no way in or out without stopping here when you visit Howth. The parking is big enough and you will find a place when you come early enough. Later there is enough parking around in Howth and it is just a short walk back to the Bloody Stream.
S. V.
Delicious traditional fish and chips. Staff super friendly and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended
M.
Together with 15 guys we’ve had lunch at this place and everything arrived at the same time. Excellent service in comparison to the rest of Ireland. The food was from excellent quality as well.
A. L.
Good food. Very kind staff.
Highly recommend.
m. c.
I have been there many times and I have never been disappointed. Excellent food with a great service.
R. S.
Great atmosphere, even on a Monday afternoon, very nice relaxing feeling even though it was quite busy. Staff were attentive, friendly and very courteous. Food and service were both excellent and the menu had a nice selection to cater to all palates. Would highly recommend to anyone who is in the area.
C. I.
Lovely restaurant, Fab food and Great staff.
K. H.
Very pleasant staff. Food well presented and very tasty.
I. m. K.
Locals and people that work in the area has this place as a meeting point. (after work pints). Normally extremely young people. Average price for pints, Good and inviting front beer garden. Its a place to enjoy a beer before the train ride. The food Menu has a main dish everyday with great price. You will see the deal of the day outside normally.
J. M.
Amazing food here the fish and chips are to die for. Lovely old pub with a nice fire to relax at
G. K.
Brilliant, nice welcome, sound lounge staff, lovely Steak sambo and beautiful Pints of the big G's.. Its been a tough week for all pubs etc going from 0 to 100 in no time..
So everything was relaxed now, people need to remember that too.. We're not out of all restrictions yet.
M. F.
Just had a gorogus meal here, food very tasty and staff for attentive and friendly. Will definately come back
R. A.
Took a train this morning from greystones to howth, it's a 2 hours journey. My first impression was a great welcome from staffs. I ordered a lovely pint of Guinness, prawns and fish and chips(cod fish). I felt the tenderness and freshness in my mouth. Beside the pub there are lively fish mongers around and howth market.
Ps. If you are coming with groups please do reservation in advance specially weekends. And also pint cost€ 4.80 at the pub and € 5.00 sitting at the beer garden
j. t.
Staff very welcoming and food was good beer cold what else could you ask for 👍👍👍
S. G.
Great outdoor dining option in Howth. Plenty of seating. Would need prebooking at weekend. Sunny Monday afternoon, no problem

Excellent place. One of my personal favorites in Dublin. Located in Howth, great for a drink and food. Good prices.
Also next to the train station. Very convenient place.

One of my favorite pubs in Howth. Very nice food.

Great place to have a bite to eat. Fantastic staff too (Michelle and April😁), we've been going for years and love it. Nice fireplace for the winter and lovely suntrap in summer.

Food was gorgeous, staff was really friendly & efficient. First time there, but not the last

N. M.
Good food, good atmosphere and helpful staff. Great being close to the open fire in a cold windy evening
J. R.
Seafood Chowder is amazing !!! The fish and chips is delicious and made with the catch of the day
C. B.
I discovered The Bloody Stream 15 years ago, had a bowl of mussels which were steamed to perfection, served in a white wine cream. I have since gone back on occasion, with other people, visitors, family, and everyone has always loved it. Yesterday I brought my family there as the 1st place to eat out since the lockdown. I had the mussels that were just as good as always, the family had chicken wings, steak sandwich, burger, fish and chips. All were very happy! Service was also great!
C. D.
Very cozy place. The food was very tasty! Highly recommended!
C. G.
Lovely food.great staff.fabulous building. Very reasonable prices
C. F.
Great spot after a long coastal walk in Howth Harbour. If you are a seafood fan this place is for you and even if not.... Good options are the spicy chicken wings with homemade soup with Homemade Bread. Remember this place because just above is The Dart station that will take you straight to city centre Dublin. So you can have a drink and leave the car at home. ❤️
A. D.
Great food, great service, I definitely recommend
T.
Food and service was great even though they were very busy and seemed to only have two staff members working tables. The salmon was delicious and definitely splurge for dessert, you won't regret it. Decor espoused the history of the place and included a fun read about the name. Overall, we really enjoyed it.
B. B.
Great food and drink, watch out for the special meal deals for €10. Monday/Tuesday is Burger & Chips, Wednesday is Steak & Chips and Thursday is Fish & Chips, great value for €10.
J. B.
Very good for great food. 5 stars
B. O.
They were able to take a walk in of 5 which was great. We were first sat inside beside the service station which was really loud because of the dishes being thrown in the boxes but we were able to move outside which was lovely.
We had oysters, mussels, prawns and crab claws, a platter for 1 and a veggie burger. All were good, the sauce for the prawns was very sweet though and tasted like it had sweet chilli sauce rather than fresh chilli. The service was pleasant and everything was very affordable. Will come back.
e. “. h.
Nice food, nice drink. Good staff too...😊
m. m.
The atmosphere is great and authentic. We ate fish and chips which are not so tasty....
J. C.
Super staff and great food. Family friendly.
D. O.
Lovely food nice and relaxed staff very helpful and the pints are beautiful
L. R.
It serves really good food and the staff are really nice but when we tried to get in to have a meal and some drinks they were closed, like really early. It may have been for Covid-19 reasons or others (the restaurant next door remained open) so I don't know what was going on but I'll definitely be back because it's one of my favourite places to go when I'm in Howth.
D. B.
Had some really good salmon and a few ciders. The place had a really homey atmosphere, especially sitting next to the fire. Also pretty convenient to get to.
m. k.
Awesome food, such a good portion. We ordered the usual, Caesar salad and Fish and chips.
The sitting area near the fireplace was a perfect fit for the cold weather outside. The place also has outside sitting area if you wish to smoke. Or just sit out. Perfect for evenings with friends or even family.
D. K.
Great service. Food was really nice and came out quite quickly. Social distancing very well done. Each table given a hand sanitizer. Also pet friendly which is a big plus.
D. M.
Lovely pub, but the food is hit and miss.
F. B.
Nice gastro pub, we ate here several times over the Christmas period, some meals were good some not so good. The mussels were excellent. Service was excellent also, particularly the guy in the shorts-he was always attentive and entertaining. From what I saw this is the best price/quality option in Howth.
t.
Best fish and chips I have ever had! Don’t listen to the hype of the other places in Howth, this is THE place to get fish and chips! Also their Irish coffee was to die for and the ambiance is fantastic. Staff was very friendly and service was spot on! I want to come back every day!
R. M.
Great pub, lovely food too. Service top notch
A. K.
Food was excellent and staff were lovely
D. M. G.
Called in here last week for the first time. We had a pint & a fish and chips. One of the nicest fish and chips I've ever had. It was busy enough but staff managed quite well.
Could be a good place for a few pints later in the evening. I must go back and find out
M. K.
Nice food good atmosphere
But very expensive
W.
I had my birthday there really enjoyed it
T. S.
Amazing service. Managed our large group with ease. Calamari was the best I have ever had. Portions are great. Pints are fresh
C. T.
Great service and food. Highly recommended 👌
R. H.
Lovely place, nice fish n chips; great service
B. T.
Best Fish 'n Chips in Dublin and great attending service. Kipping it simple, great Fish, great chips. Best tartar sauce. Nothing more needed. Salad washed and plate decorated. Atmosphere and music always nice and relaxing. Best place to hop for a city break. Always delivers, never disappoints.
V. M.
Great atmosphere but the food let's it down big time!..think they defo need to change their oil..everything was swimming in grease & all the waitress did was bring it back to me...Yes actually brought back the same chips and said the girl rolled them in kitchen towel put them back in the bowl & gave them them to the waitress ho give back to me!!! The lovely fish was the same swimming in grease...Wont be eating there again yuk!
J. H.
Always a great spot to eat and enjoy some drinks when in Howth. Cozy place with fireplace, outdoor seating and no rip-off prices.
L. M. G.
Good food in lovely warm atmosphere. Level of service is spot on. One small potential improvement: the menu is a bit tatty and dated looking.. not the food just the physical printed menu...could do.with an update.
J.
Always friendly and welcoming staff. Good pint of Guinness and the food is absolutely fabulous. Can be quite a young person place on a Saturday night, but the rest of the time a pretty mixed clientele. Location directly below Howth DART station is hard to beat!
C. H.
Gorgeous patio. Excellent fish and chips. The calamari is caught just off the coast of howth and was excellent. Friendly staff but not quite attentive. Plan to stay, visit, drink, and enjoy the ambience. Not a place to rush in and out of.
A. O.
Wonderful meal @thebloodystream this evening very reasonable and Great staff
A. C.
Not a fan of their food, but it's a great place to come have a drink with family or friends. They have a ton of outdoor seating for those rare sunny days, and it faces the right way, so while the rest of restaurants are in the shade, you can get good sun late in the day. The inside has a really cute and quaint pub feel too.
B. M.
Very helpful staff.
Food and drinks arrived as expected.
Fast service
L. n.
Such a lovely dinner, the food was amazing the facilities were spotless. Sat Outside but everything is spaced so well and the heaters weren't even needed. Will return
E. C.
Great pub with good food
d. p.
Food amazing, Family friendly lovely staff
j. c.
A hidden gem_beautiful food_ambience_great Guinness and a roaring fire_and nice background music to complete the experience _a great experience !
A. K.
The atmosphere and general ambience was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
My starters Deep fried Bree was very good. My main course of a fish platter was ok. Overall we would recommend this pub for food.
B. M.
Tonight we had fish and chips. The fish was huge. It was like a giant steak. Reasonable price & wonderful service. Its been years since we last visited but I've promised myself that we will be back again soon.
D.
Lovely spot food good staff brilliant the service is great worth a trip .but today busy and the fish n chip a little greasy and the steak a little small and bit tough the vegetarian item look good.
Worth a trip book prior to visit and parking good walk so give plenty of time.
Z. R.
Great outdoor area and cocktail menu
F. C.
Great place.. food is really good but it's the atmosphere that sets it apart .. open fire burning on as Sunday afternoon..great mix of locals and tourists .. top spot..still after all these years...its been there a while now..
K. B.
Every time I go to Howth I end up my day in the Bloody Steam for the best fish and chips in Dublin area. The service is very nice and the bar has very nice atmosphere. The food served there is always fresh and of the highest quality. I highly recommend this restaurant!
M. S.
Ordered the fish and chips what a let down, thinking because it is beside Howth that would be the ideal dish for the area, chips were terrible like something you would get at the end of your chip bag, the fish while it looked huge on the plate was all batter, was over cooked and had that burnt look about it as if the oil they used to fry it in was well past it's sell by date.
Would not return to this place total let down.
C. T.
The service and the food was first class.
D. h.
Meet the manager Mark, one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Great craic, found us a table straight away on a really busy day and had a drinks over so quickly. Wonderful day.
Thanks Mark and the bloody stream
k. m.
This place is great for a late drink. It is very lively and great people around always. It's a bit loud and dark so it isn't really my type of bar. Gets a bit crazy on a Sunday night with people dancing on the countertops and tables. Great if you like this type of thing
S. K.
Great atmosphere, good fun crowd, music and service was great. One of the bar persons Juliet was amazing, very efficient and fast serving us and everyone else at the bar. We will be back again. Great night. Thank you
S. j.
Beautiful food, beautiful place, we come here religiously every november from wales, first time we were here was with philomena. One of the younger waitresses that served us could have been in a bit of a better mood but it didnt affect the quality of food and atmosphere for me.
C. W.
Great deals throught the week I had the Friday 3 courses for €22.really tasty and filling would highly recommend.atmosphere is nice old Irish pub style being Irish I don't get it but I'm sure tourist do,but the food is great for tourist and local alike.
D. C.

E. K.
Amazing food! Relaxed atmosphere and great cocktails!
D. W.
Great little spot!
Conveniently located right under the dart line.
Pints are decent, staff are lovely and pleasant.
Food is pretty reasonable and delicious, you won't get steered wrong here for an afternoon in Howth
P. R.
Nice pub with a great atmosphere (peat fireplace helps!). Popular with tourists, but locals come as well. Food is pretty much good, nothing too special. I would come here for drinks as there are better places to eat nearby.
A. O.
Just ate here for first time. Have wanted to go there for a long time. Was not disappointed. Good good. Good service . Nice atmosphere. Dart right next door.
M. H.
Love this place for food after a stroll. Fish & chips to die for. Superb atmosphere, nice beer and an open fire . Sure what's not to love
R. B.
Myself and the wife went here for food the other night. We didn't book in advance, and when we arrived it was packed. But the staff were so helpful they managed to get us a table. The food was fantastic and the beer was excellent 😀
M.
Fabulous food and the staff are very friendly and helpful
D. M.
Great service fantastic pint 👌 🍺🤤
D. M.
Great place to have a drink and dinner! I was a bit sceptical since it was right next to the train station and these places are usually rip-offs. But it was great here, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Delicious food!
J. M.
Great place, gorgeous food, gorgeous drinks and fabulous staff.. always love it here ❤
G. L.
Food was good, service was a little slow
J. O. D.
Howth food pub for tourists and locals alike. Easy to find in Dublin on Dublin Dart line. Special food offers on different days. Old world atmosphere with old Irish songs at lunch time. People love to chat here. Most enjoyable!
A. C.
Not a great spot for a pint, until way later at night. We were asked to move from a table as was reserved food only, there was no signage to indicate this, and invited to take our cold pints outside on a chilly Sunday evening. Wasn't really what we were looking for.
r.
Best fish and chips i ever had! I live in Buffalo NY where we seem to pride ourselves on fish fry’s but I guess a trip to Dublin ruins that lol
A. I.
Nice atmosphere. The waiters are very kind and helpful. Really good fish and chips! One of the cheaper places for a pint. Not too crowded.
B. P.
Brilliant Meal, excellent, friendly service, just a Lovely night 😊
M. M.
Come for the seafood, stay for the drinks and open fire. Great at this time of winter. Also make sure that you check out the soup and homemade brown bread and creamy butter. All portions are generous in size.
m. b.
Quite a delicious and popular place in Howth (see picture for delicious proof!)
o. o.
Came in here to wait for someone, and we ended up staying. It's a great spot, with effecient bar staff and excellent beers. The food looked good, will have to come back and try it out.
K. M.
Great pub/restaurant and excellent food. Fresh fish cooked to perfection and waiting staff were just fantastic. Will definitely be back!!!
T. M.
Great spot for a quiet pint. Guinness is great and for €4.60 in a tourist hotspot its great value..Food right up to 10pm..good bar food & a la carte selection. 2 min walk to Howth Harbour and all the fish markets. If you just want a drink here there are top quality seafood restaurants just a 5 min walk away.
S. B.
Halumi burger is delicious 👌
S. O.
Mussels were nice, Chicken wings only OK. Good atmosphere
N. O.
A very nice pub, excellent fish and chips and drinks. A good price for what is provided. Good atmosphere with a real fireplace inside, giving the place even more of an authenticity.
J. q.
Food options were great. What we ordered tasted amazing. Service fast, polite and courteous. Very happy with this experience. Highly recommended.

Seafood place just on the train station in Howth. It can get a pretty crowded but still you can find a place to seat. The interior is very nice, you get this old pub vibe. They also have fireplace that was gorgeous. The food was o.k. We tried chowder that was pretty good, creamy, tasty with lots of fish. We tried also the seafood platter and it was o.k. You get a variety of different seafood dishes from fresh oysters to smoked and fresh salmon. The staff was very nice.
E. M.
Closest pub to Howth DART station. Pints and prices are good. Very crowded most days and other pubs are within a reasonable walking distance. If you're looking to just drink and not eat you should go somewhere else as most tables indoors are for people who order food.
J. P.
Went out to Howth for the cliff walk and found this lovely pub/restaurant. Fantastic atmosphere, great food and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area, local or tourist.
S. O.
Not busy. It's directly under the railway 🚃🚂 station 🚉
K. T.
Excellent spot... Great pint of Guinness 😄👍
A. R.
Fresh and well cooked fish. Every time we go there we take the mussels for sharing, and a main course, and we always finished satisfied. Highly recommended this place.
S. S.
Loved it , Food was amazing would highly recommend
I. M. S.
The bloody stream is a traditional restaurant in Howth, with amiable staff, fresh and tasty food. Very close to the train station. I ate a lovely Chowder, while my friend had a very eye-pleaser fish and chips.
A. C.
Great food and a friendly atmosphere, staff were lovely. Would highly recommend!
P. F.
First time to Howth, dropped into here for lunch and it was a very pleasant experience . Staff was attentive friendly and very helpful. Busy little spot would definitely return . Food was lovely and reasonable priced , thumbs up for me .
J. M.
Burger and chips, 5 star.
S. B. S.
Very nice atmosphere. A classic Irish pub with traditional price. Food is average and a little bit pricy for what you get.
C. J.
Food was tasty and hot, service very fast. I think a little bit pricey for pub grub but worth a visit if you're in Howth 😊
D. D.
Good food and drink !!! Lively crowd in the evening . With a great welcome for Newcomers.......Good live music if you're lucky enough to be there. Dart station right beside , so no excuses for drinking and driving.........
J. N.
Great menu selection. Exceptional customer service experience. Professional and friendly staff. Thank you for the consistent pleasant atmosphere.

Great spot and really convenient located, just underneath the train station in howth. Very good seafood, nice and laid back server's, a great pint of Guinness. I will be back
S. F.
Nice pub under the train station. Which is handy for when you need to finish up that last pint so you can catch the train! Staff are laid back and so are the customers. If your in Howth it's worth a stop by
T. S.
Bigger than you'd think from the outside, this is a bar in, and under Howth Station, and is a nice place to wait to while away half hour or so whilst waiting for a train, or even as a destination in its own right for food and drinks. Although I didn't eat here, the food looked very nice, and the restaurant area had a nice ambience to it.
T. K.
The chowder. A pint. What more do you need? In the great company.
E. A.

S. C.
Such a cute spot in Howth. I absolutely loved how they have a wood-burning fireplace to keep the space warm and cozy. The food was also very good and reasonably priced.
M. K.
It doesn't have to be a fine day,but it helps.... Because then you can enjoy the many outdoor seating areas and peoplewatch the day go by. If you're there at the right time in August,Thin Lizzy fans get to enjoy a Phil Lynott birthday celebration, where tribute acts (and more) remember Dublins great son.
The rest of the year, enjoy a traditional Irish style pub rustic, friendly and with great food on offer. Right at the end of the Dart line ! (or the start!)
c. m.
Great staff and lovely atmosphere except for one barman ,who after standing at bar queing for 10 mins served the man behind me first who just arrived.if it wasnt so blatent i would ignore it.other than that had a great night with great music

Good food and good atmosphere. It's a great place to be during a cold and rainy day. It's a bit expensive though but therefore everything else is pleasant.
D. M.
Good food in lovely seaside Howth. Good sized portions with friendly staff and a big peat fire for those cold days. On warm days there is plenty of outdoor space.
S. C.
Fantastic food, good quality seafood, reasonable pricing for the portion sizes. Well located beside the Howth train station and not as busy as you would expect for Howth
M. C.
BEST FISH AND CHIPS.
The fire is burning, the drinks are flowing and the food is amazing. This restaurant aline is worth the trip to Howth.
L. S.
Great fish and chips. Try and get a seat in the restaurant by the open fire, super cosy. My GF and i found it quite romantic for an old boozer
D. C.
I've been here several times over the years and this place has never let me down. Food is great, good choice of drinks and the atmosphere is relaxed.
N. W.
Very busy place. Tasty and fresh food. Poor choice of beers. Staff can forget about your ordered salad or drink.
C. H.
Ok, but not one of the better places in Howth. Go down the pier a bit for less glitzy but better prepared food. This place is best for Guinness and sports TV.
J. M.
