We had a pleasant dining experience. Went in for lunch on St.Stephen's Day and it was indeed very busy. The front office were quick to check our reservation and COVID vaccine certificate, post which we were ushered to our seating. The restaurant was aesthetically appealing, spacious and can accommodate quite a lot of people. For an efficient service, there were many staffs on duty to attend the large inflow of people. All the Food items we had were good, served fresh and hot. The staffs who attended us were kind and professional. The restrooms were maintained to impeccable standards.
For someone expecting a quiet dining experience, this may not be your place especially during peak hours. Also there was a Service Charge of 12.5% with the bill.

I don’t even know where to begin. Absolutely perfect in every aspect: the staff is nice, helpful and polite.
The atmosphere is very warm, lots of plants, good music and comfortable seats.
Drinks were amazing, there is one with pepper and pineapple juice that was the best that I’ve ever had.
Food was also a nice surprise but without a doubt the highlights were the salad with crisp duck and the creme brûlée for desert.
I loved it and would definitely recommend!

Great decor as always with the Ivy, but it felt more like a kid friendly family place than anything else. Staff was super kind.
Food was bland unfortunately, every dish was one disappointment after the other as they were all quite flavorless. There are so many great brunch places in Dublin so we will not be going back here.

Good food, good service. Why 4 stars?:
- too loud, wasn't able to hear opposite part of the table
- waiters not knowledgeable in wine culture
- not all dishes were available, e.g. rib eye steak wasn't available
Overall experience: had a lovely evening with our friends

Overall it is an overrated restaurant. Food wasnt prepared as supposed: eggs were almost boiled instead of poached (for two plates). They replaced one of them. For the third salmon plate it barely has a bit of salmon. Bread wasn't up to standards (both the gluten and the non-gluten one). Fresh juice is good. For the same money you pay here you can get way more value in a different place.

I went to the Ivy Dawson st. this past weekend for a birthday meal with my family. The experience was excellent. Actually, I would say it was the best customer service I have experienced in a while. Really top notch waiting and service staff. Everything seemed very relaxed. There was also a lovely little surprise at the end because they had a small birthday cake for me which I really appreciated. I will definitely be back :)

Great venue and great staff: Greg was warm, kind a professional! Everything you need when you are looking for a place to have dinner on a Christmas Eve. Thank you very much, Greg! You made our evening great

We walked by this beautiful restaurant and decided to give it a try, since the restaurant was pretty full. We didn’t make a reservation, but the host was nice enough to give us a table. It is a very nice and luxurious restaurant - nice decor, friendly staff, and good service. We ordered scallops, shepherd’s pie, Crème brûlée, and Irish coffee for our lunch. Everything was delicious! Will definitely come back again for dinner, and remember to make a reservation! Nice restaurant for special occasions, dates, or celebrations!

We are a couple visiting from the Netherlands and we passed by this place on a walk and made a reservation. The staff at FOH on 26/9/21 around 7pm were very friendly and bubbly. The server who was with us that night her name was Chloe I believe was extremely attentive and polite. The food was amazing in my opinion and the service time was great because we were able to enjoy our drinks before the food and during. The other staff helping were very fun as well and even had a little conversation with us. Working myself in the service management industry I find the level of interaction we had and the experience at the ivy on this date was great and an example! The price is reasonable for the location and the quality. The portions are great. We were a bit shocked at the big portions because where we come from the portions aren't that big but it was delicious enough to eat it all. Worth every moment and will come again and recommend it to others.

Was there with my 3 siblings on a Friday evening an I was very impressed. Only mentioned once that it was a birthday celebration an they remembered! All 4 of us were very happy with the food. Staff very attentive an couldn't do enough! It's wasnt as expensive as we thought it would be.. Would highly recommend it, lovely treat..

Visited the Ivy tonight and had the most amazing experience from start to finish. Our waitress Emily was so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The manager Jamie brought us to our table and was very welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again in the near future. Thanks guys!

We had an amazing dinner here at The Ivy. The food was so good and the service was amazing. Definitely recommend checking out this amazing restaurant. The deco there is really pretty too. Make sure you make reservations well in advance as they do get very busy!

“The Ivy” was great. Food (duck salad on the picture and had a spiced pumpkin soup) was very tasty and cocktails + the elderflower iced tea was amazing! Also be ready to take three course meal if hungry as portions don’t tend to run too big from what I saw.
P.S. Also if you are vegan, ask for a vegan menu when seated.

Amazing food + classy ambience but expensive service charge. I went to the ivy on a date in mid October and the halloween decor was on point. We started off with few cocktails and the crispy duck salad which i would recommend as it was the best dish we had while there.
J. L. M.
Beautiful decor as usual for The Ivy. Atmosphere was lively, but not loud enough that you couldn't have a conversation. Food was delicious and we couldn't eat all of eat so it was packed in a takeaway box for us. Service was a little slow, but very polite and friendly. Great location - just a walk away from the tram stop and Grafton Street.

Best brunch in Dublin! I came back for a second time it was so good. Very attentive staff and delicious food. The decor is eclectic and very nice also. Would recommend making a reservation as it gets very busy!
M.
Was there for my birthday brunch with my bestie. Emily, our waiter, was very very lovely and helped us out when choosing food after being asked.
Both food and service were amazing, and decoration is stunning.
It’s a rather noisy place though, and a bit pricey. But I’d go back for dinner to compare service and menu. But definitely a good place for brunch to try sthg different or your regular brunch Dublin menu as well.
S. L.
Amazing experience. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, a great mix of tourists, business professionals and locals. I had a holiday bourbon cocktail which was fantastic, and then I had the fish and chips. 10/10 would recommend. I finished off with some chocolate and whiskey ice cream. Also delicious! The waitress, blonde and thin and short was so nice and created a welcoming atmosphere. You HAVE to come here when in dublin.
V. S. S.
Lovely ambience. Great food. Can you have more lamb options please
A. A.
Went there last week and it was like stepping into the 1920’s.
Art Deco style vibe everywhere, comfortable sofa seating with lots of cushions and beautiful shiny tiled floors, plenty of pictures on every wall, lots of shiny gold banisters, luxurious large dark flowers wallpaper on restrooms.
Attentive staff uniformly dressed, cloth napkins, nice china, good food…
The experience somehow felt rushed and hassled, tables emptied under military precision time, constant coming and going of customers coming and leaving, the busyness a testament to the popularity of the place in spite of the price.
It’s not a cheap place and yet the number and high turnover of customers made it look a bit like a McDonald’s in rush hour…
C. F.
Such a cool place to eat. Food and service were amazing. Will definitely return
E. B.
Wonderful fine dining experience at The Ivy with vegan curry and pink gin. It was so yumii and I can't wait to be back!

O.M.G a DREAM!!! I have to start by saying for an outdoor dining experience during the phased re-opening. This has been by far my favourite restaurant.
I have to say thank you to the waiter that took this picture of me he was a young Asian gentleman in black and a white Apron he was the one bringing the food outside to guests...you were such a great host. You made me love the place even more!
I had the Salmon, espresso martini and it was delicious...They have endless options on their menu it's amazing

A lovely place to have a pleasant dinner and drinks at. The staff was very attentive and polite 5/5. The food was 5/5 too, we enjoyed every course and we have been given a complementary birthday dessert plate as we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday that night. The timing was 5/5 too, nothing was delayed and everything was served hot and delicious. Recommend if you want to have a calm and pleasant dinner with lovely food.
M. F.
Beautiful restaurant. One of favourite places to eat and it was so lovely to return today for a long over due indoor brunch with my husband. As always food was delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive we had a very relaxed and enjoyable meal. Melissa our waitress looked after us very well .
N. S.
Very nice and fancy restaurant. Food is great but it is a bit pricey. I guess we are paying for the decor as well. I totally recommend the chocolate bombe for desert. It is definitely worth it
S. A. D.
Omg! The food is unreal! Out of this world.
Staff is really good and attentive
Definitely coming back
M. C.
Beautiful restaurant with beautiful decor. Staff were very efficient bit too much at times. Nowhere to hang your coats. Menu overpriced for what was not very exciting food. A lot of places as good if not better around Dublin. Not sure if service charge goes to the staff. Been there wouldn't go back. Enjoyed the company was in.
S. N. N.
The staff were friendly and really quick. Definitely happy with the service. The food was nice, I had the sourdough bread which was amazing and the Shepard's pie. He had the squid and a burger. It's not cheap, the portion sizes would be considered small by other restaurants standards but I found that great as I hate being presented with giant plates of food. There is a service charge of 12.5% which is fine, we asked and the waiter said it goes to all the staff.
J. K.
Colourful bright brassy bistro style with great ambience and good light. Food innovative fresh and flavoursome. Staff attentive friendly and efficient. Group seating options and a big central bar area add to the good feel.
O. S.
Gorgeous meal and experience but a 14 euro service charge for 2 people was not appreciated. We planned on tipping anyway but being forced to pay 12.5% without warning wasn't fair. We sat at the bar after and again we were charged a further 10% for 2 drinks. This goes up per drink. We told the barman we already paid 12.5% and he kindly took away the drink charge and agreed with us that the 12.5% charge should only be for groups of 6 and above. Would think twice about going back.

Had a fabulous dinner with my husband, daughter and sister. Food was great, service was excellent really enjoyed our evening except for having to endure listening to the the 4 man babies behind me near the window overlooking Molesworth Street! They obviously have no idea how to behave in a public place or how to use their indoor voices when in an enclosed space, they were loud, obnoxious and quite frankly boring! Bravo to the Ivy staff who were gracious and polite, I don't know how they kept their composure, well done to the Ivy!
R. B.
You'll pay One Michelin Star price for "okay" food.
I had an amazing truffle mash, a steak tartare with so much parsley on top that it was difficult to taste the meat and an honest steak with a good Béarnaise sauce.
Be aware of the service fee which is added to your bill with a discrete note about it being optional. I emailed the management to complain about it since I had paid for it without noticing and they asked me who had served me as if it was her fault.
Anyway, you pay for the beautiful and modern decoration, not exactly for what you get.
S. R.
Amazing ambiance and good place for a day out with friends and family. Worth the price and service.
R. K.
I always find the place nice and cozy
The staff are Friendly and welcoming
The order always on time and never late and always taste delicious
M.
I celebrated my birthday there with a friend, who invited me as a surprise.
We had a wonderful evening. Started with a Gin Tonic as an aperitif, which was very balanced.
Food-wise we had the scallops and the Tartare. Both dishes were really tasty, well seasoned.
Overall the price quality ratio was very reasonable. The service was on point and the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant.
We had a great evening and I will go there definitely again for another special occasion!

Spectacular experience. This is a must on everyone's list . We were a party of 3 booked in early for breakfast before we hit the shops. So starting at the front door we were welcomed by extremely friendly staff, checked re covid certs then escorted to our table. The breakfast menu was better than any 5 star hotel. The decor was awe inspiring the table decor, delph & silverware was beautiful. The service was on point and every staff member we interacted with were so friendly . The staircase and toilets looked like something from a movie scene just gorgeous. Everywhere was spotless and plenty of hand sanctions dotted around. If I could give this place 10 ⭐ I would.
M. S.
Beautiful place. The Bloody Mary was one of their best iv ever had. Nom.
l. k.
Very enjoyable experience! Food very good!
P. V.
Lovely place and food. Their peach bellini is so good
V. S.
One of my favourite places for a girls lunch. Good choice on the menu, reasonable prices and very attentive and friendly staff.
P. A.
Great food and service. Very friendly staff who went out of the way to make us feel welcome with our 6 week old baby! Will definitely be back.
F. M. J.
The place is gorgeous, the food is amazing, but my 5 stars goes specially for the staff, they are genuinely kind and helpful, I can't remember other place in Ireland with similar or better treatment, the girl who was attended the table called Emily was fantastic !!! Staff on the book table at the entrance checked my covid certificate and he realised was my birthday, they send me a complementary treat at the end... They made my day !
C. T.
Fab place, great staff and the food was lovely. And the bathrooms!!!! So worth a visit. 🙌
L. &. J. B.
Stunning service, every details attended to. Beautiful food from starters to mains to dessert. A fabulous place to go for an anniversary dinner
k. w.
Food was delicious especially the veggie halloumi dish. fillet steak was pretty small though. Boyfriend was still hungry after having main and dessert
K. O.
It was a lovely lunch. We enjoyed our food & our cocktails 💖
G. T.
Went for breakfast, main negative point would be table size which was tight for a party of 4. Otherwise, food was good and well presented. Staff pleasant and attentive. Requesting a change to a menu item the request was accepted without fuss.
H.
Very professional service, nice atmosphere, food served very quickly, very tasty, I recommend it
J. H.
Fantastic cocktails! Delicious food and wonderful decor! Can get busy quickly but overall a great place for drinks, food or both!
E. O.
Beautiful setting. Lovely atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Food was really tasty. Had a great experience but the service charge that is automatically added to the bill is quite high.
A. W.
Lovely restaurant, funky interior. Food was great and they even brought out a complimentary dessert for my graduation.
O. F.
Has a good busy atmosphere but by association noise. Food was good but 2 service mistakes, one being they didn't have the wine I ordered and brought a replacement to the table without saying anything and they were just going to serve it, if I hadn't noticed. At 55 euro a bottle I expect notification of a change.
P. M.
First time at The Ivy. Late lunch, good Friday buzz. Staff attentive and helpful. Food selection very good, steak and blackened cod delicious. Will happily go back again.
S. O.
Just beautiful,
Delish food
Great service
Attentive staff and very friendly
Looking forward to my next visit again.

Located a couple of hundred feet from the Dail, and the exclusive Shelbourne Hotel, situated at the junction of Dawson Street and Molesworth Street, This modern building is the location of Thy Ivy Restaurant, and its location would be a clue to the clientele it was built to attract.
While also sited among an area with an abundance of dining out choices The Ivy stood out from the older well established restaurants from the 1st opening of its doors.
The Ivy boasts a large galley kitchen, well staffed with numerous chefs to help reduce waiting time for "your" meal..
I say "your" meal as this beautifully decorated eating experience is definitely out of my budget as a good friend recently had a meal with his other half and 1 bottle of wine for just under half my week's wages.....20hours work for a dinner and a drink.... I think not... I'll stick to going in the back door to the kitchen with my daily deliveries.
However my friend, who I now need to have a chat with our boss about his obviously higher salary, did highly enjoy the evening and said the food was excellent which they both enjoyed.
While The IVY has an ideal D2 location on the fringe of the renowned St. Stephen's Green and with the Luas Tram line passing its front door, its location is also a problem if you plan on driving but there is some limited spaces directly behind it, Don't be tempted by the loading bay facing its front doors unless you want another big bill to end your lovely evening.
A. G.
Very stylish interior! Great great great kitchen! I have got Blackened Cod Fillet with broccolis on the side and Sticky Toffee Pudding… fish and desert were unbelievable! Really recommend!
The service could be a little bit more welcomed and I had my espresso much earlier than my dessert , so , when I had it it was already cold… but one more time : delicious food . I had a great evening
E. N.
One of the most beautiful restaurants, lovely drinks and food.
E. D.
Wonderful meal and surprised with little birthday cake - thank you
E. H.
Lovely atmosphere, not pretentious at all. Best Tempura Prawns I've ever had. Was treated to dinner but prices looked reasonably ok with just some things quite expensive such as drinks but overall not too bad I think.
L. A.
This restaurant is so beautiful and fancy. The cocktails are really good! I think the best idea is go for the cocktails and appetizers, I liked the main dishes but I think the starters are better. I really recommend the zucchini chips, they are incredible! And they have a famous dessert (Sadly they didn’t have it when I went) chocolate bomb, people say is a nice experience.
G. B.
Went here for post-graduation dinner and the food and service was really 5-star. Food was AH-mazing, drinks were fab and the service was outstanding. Def worth the price! Will be back again!
D. B.
Loved the whole dining experience, staff at the door and wait staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, with good portion sizes, and at a good price point for a reality nice price point in the location and setting. Chocolate bomb dessert is a fun way to end dinner so would recommend!
L. S.
Lovely place. The interior is very classy and elegant. Staff is great, very knowledgeable and kind. Food was amazing. Had a gorgeous tasty 3 course lunch. My favourite was the chocolate bomb dessert, which starts of as a beautiful chocolate sphere revealing ice cream and other deliciousness on the inside when hot salted caramel is poured on top.
M. A.
Good place with cool vibe and colourful aesthetics.
L.
Great atmosphere, lots of plants and beautiful decor. Brunch food is mediocre, my eggs benedict were overcooked and hollandaise tasted of butter. At the end they add a non optional service charge of 12.5% and not even mention it to you. Not even sure if it goes to the servers or the owners. Worth going to see the place, but to go out of your way is not worth it.
G. M.
Recently made a visit to The Ivy and would not recommend the Burger whats so ever as i found this to be very dry and not very appealing. But the fish and chips was lovely also the soup
E. T.
Amazing service and food. The hostess turned us away because all the tables were reserved but we sat at the bar. Very clean and attention to detail. Had the avocado tomato sesame, scrambled eggs smoked salmon and hen's eggs.
Q.
What made the restaurant good was it’s price as it’s very appropriate for the quality of food.
The food was fine but
the highlight by far was the blackened cod.
Salmon dish ordered was over cooked and dry.
And the breaded chicken was basic.
The atmosphere is nice although can get a bit too noisy at times
And service needs improving on in terms of time management and friendliness of service.
Overall all a good experience at a decent price. Nothing special though and most of the food could use improvement.
X. v. L.
Great decoration, lovely service, food slightly under par.
L. O.
More like a 3.5 to be honest. Petitioning Google to add half stars. Ambience was beautiful, well decorated, well lit and I loved that they had a Halloween themed drink menu. Went for my birthday and they were so cute and brought a small pastry out for me. Food was lovely, ordered of the vegeterian menu and really enjoyed the potato mash with the egg yolk. Main was too creamy for me, risotto, but that's just personal preference at rhe end of the day. The score is a 3.5 mostly because the mediocre service ruined the whole experience of the night for me. I would recommend though
M. H.
Lovely atmosphere and good range of food on the menu. Really friendly staff and OK COVID safety. The food itself is really tasty and excellently prepared however my dish was warm rather than hot when it reached the table.
N. D.
Amazing food. Superb service. Awesome atmosphere and comfortable seating.
C. L.
Was so looking forward to my lunch with friend i hadn't seen in many many years whose company i so enjoyed. Thank u for allowing us to stay there forever. I loved the flavours in the curry and side dishes. However serving spoons would have been welcome and a check if all was to our liking. Our dishes could have been cleared away quicker and table tidied up for desert. Staff very nice a nd friendly. I will go back though despite the misgivings.
S. B.
Amazing afternoon tea and atmosphere. Service was great and the bathroom lighting incredible as always 👌
S. L.
Service was excellent, brilliant atmosphere and food superb.
S. T.
The breathtaking experience visiting this place. The detailed work on interior is wonderful. The service offered is world-class. It gives you a royal experience. Worth every penny that you pay in this luxurious place. Highly recommended.
D. M.
If you are just going for cocktails and a look around the beautiful decor then I'd recommend The Ivy. Bar staff are a great laugh and very friendly. If on the other hand you're looking to have a meal you might consider somewhere else.
Sadly the food really was below average especially considering the price tag attached to each dish.
My starter had lettuce that was both wilted and browned on the edges and was slightly bitter as result. Everyone else at our table agreed that they expected more from their meal but under delivered all around.
B. L.
Very good service, the food was great and the dessert was delicious
S.
My server Emily was excellent and provided top notch service. Food was nice and well presented however mains are quite small for their price. Would return again
L. O. B.
I had the pleasure of Visiting The Ivy in Dawson Street for the first time yesterday 20/10/21. What a sensuous delight! Loved the décor, the ambiance, the retro Shepherd's Pie and particularly the efficient and charming service of our waitress, Isabelle. Am delighted to have found a restaurant where I can confidently invite guests to join me, knowing they will derive as much pleasure from the experience as I did myself.
G. C.
Enjoyed the food at the ivy. Quite reasonably priced too. The chocolate bomb dessert is amazing. Only thing is the seats are a little closer to each other but maybe that's just a post lockdown issue of mine!! Anyway defo take a trip there.
G. H.
Amazing setting with very attentive staff. Food was excellent. Would advise to book but definitely worth a visit.
S. M.
Great service and great food. The girl that was looking after our table was brilliant , as I have some food allergies she was very understanding and went above and beyond for us . Thank you will definitely be back soon 5 ⭐️
D. E. K.
We've tried The Ivy in Dawson Street for Brunch on a Sunday. The colourful and classy interior design, the elegant atmosphere and the fantastic and attentive service contributed to a great brunch experience. The menu offers regular Dublin Brunch with a view twists (similar to Sophie's) such as Full Irish breakfast, Eggs Benedict/Royal, Pancakes & Co. The only downsides: the tables are typical round French/Viennese coffeehouse tables, which means there is very little place for food and drinks (we had to merge plates together to have enough space) and there were no hangers for our wet jackets, so we had to keep them next to us. As the restaurant is quite popular, a reservation is recommended.
R. S. P.
Outdoor breakfast superb as always great ambience great service food is great as always ...
C. O.
Interesting Art Deco-esque decor makes for a nice atmosphere. Brunch was good, not mind-blowing but definitely would revisit. Staff were friendly and attentive. We ate in the private room downstairs so I'd be keen to visit for dinner in the main room to get a better sense of the place.
I. D.
Amazing experience , delicious food and wonderful staff... Warmly recommended.
Located in city centre and very easy to find...the Setanta underground parking is close by so no worries about that one. The restaurant itself has a very classic look and atmosphere, very clean and tidy... especially the toilets. Make sure you take your time, enjoy your wonderful meals and drinks. The staff are so helpful, polite and always close by. You definitely won't be disappointed. A great place for special occasions and celebrations.
K. M.
Food in The Ivy was top notch, nothing negative about it all.
Restaurant was busy with the majority of tables being flipped for a second sitting while we were there, service was not affected.
Cocktails were very good, unfortunately some were not available, put that down to teething.
J. H.
Service great, starters we're good, but main courses were not great. With a name comes expectation and the evening plus main course did not meet those expectations!
M. D.
Great food, great wine list, yummy cocktails and AWESOME service. Really recommend.
A. M.
My boyfriend took me here for a birthday lunch. It was absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a visit. It's a bit pricey but ok for an occasion. Staff very friendly, good food, good cocktails, very clean. No complaints
S. C.
Good food, I like the strawberry cream soda a lot👌
S. K.
Lovely food. But it was half an hour before our order was taken and there was a long gap between the starter and main course so we were asked to leave without time to drink our coffees and told the next party was queuing out in the street as though that was our fault. And the waiter couldn't spare a minute to take a photo. I know it's not his job, but our party was elderly and their last outing was to the Ivy the week before Covid struck. So 10 out of 10 for the food, 5 out of 10 for service.
R. C.
Amazing experience, the moment you walk in your breath is taken away by the eclectic and luxurious decor. I had the pan fried salmon and the chocolate bombe for dessert and the rosemary lemonade to drink. I would love to go back again!
J. K.
Such a fun place! Came for drinks one day and breakfast the next, ordered so much off the menu. Pancakes and berry yoghurt and Irish breakfast. Our server was fun, would go back every day no questions. Great crowds.
L. Q. F.
Spotted this elegant place whilst on the hop on hop off bus. Immediately knew I wanted to eat there for brunch the next day and was not disappointed. Beautiful décor, wonderful ambience. The scrabbled egg and smoked salmon was exquisite. Charming in every way. Yes a little bit expensive but why not treat yourself, you will love it. Reservations recommended
B. S.
Absolutely amazing food. Wowowowow!! The white onion and truffle soup was fantastic. Crab Linguine was good, and the Peruvian Chicken was cooked to perfection!
A. L.
Very enjoyable evening, well-judged service and every plate was sent back empty. Delicious.
P. K.
We really enjoyed our food a bit surprisingly, as we had thought it would be all about ambience with food a bit of an afterthought. Had buffalo mozzarella salad (no photo), crab linguini, fish n chips, chocolate bomb, all very nice...service was a bit hit and miss but the lovely lady on reception left us with a sweet ending over all!
S. S.
Excellent restaurant. Went last night, steak and fish and chips were excellent and the chocolate bombe was gorgeous. The apple tart was lovely too. Service brilliant also, well very attentive. Will definitely go again, even just for the chocolate bombe
L. K.
Ate here on 1st week of indoor dining reopening (although we were outdoor). Croatian host was amazing (sorry, I never got his name) and the food was lovely. Shame tablecloth was wet from rain earlier but everything the restaurant could control they did with ease. Would certainly return.
F. H. H.
Really nice Afternoon Tea with amazing g savory and sweet delicacies on a three tiered plate for my companion and I. Excellent service and great ambiance. Highly recommend the Ivy but book early to avoid disappointment.
S. G.
Food was delicious. Excellent ambience and the service top notch.
You are paying for the 5 stars though. It is definitely not cheap.
P. 9.
Looked forward to our visit after all the media hype. Booked a table for breakfast. The "full Irish" was pretty average and certainly nothing to write home about . Staff were friendly and attentive and whilst it was a pleasant experience, it was somewhat underwhelming.
P. O. R.
A lovely place ,but a few hiccups.ordered wine ,wrong one served.a difference of nearly 20e on the bottle but tasted dreadful. Then a mix up with starter.then had to be reminded we had a birthday .but apart from that food was delicious and our server was very nice.
A. D.
Delicious food, excellent service, good atmosphere. Staff very professional and friendly, the food is incredible. Will go again.
A. F.
Good food, great service and a beautiful interior. Surprised us with the bill though as they hadn't informed us of the price of the daily fish special. Otherwise a superb spot.
C. H.
Food and drinks were lovely but service left something to be desired. Half an hour waiting on our table, they did then give us complimentary drinks but could be improved
M. P. N.
Had lunch outside - most enjoyable - the food was excellent - the staff were very pleasant and helpful. However I was very disappointed that they did not serve non- alcoholic wine - had to get a non- alcohol cocktail which was served in a glass more suitable for a five year old
P.
Very nice meal and great staff
A. W.
Super nice restaurant!! The food is super delicious with a creative touch to it and the staff was very friendly. The dress code is smart casual and the interior is very cool.
W. F.
Worth every penny.
K.
It was absolutely a beautiful place I would say its more an Art Nouveau “vibe”
I had an afternoon tea and I love it!, although it’s a bar & restaurant you can have a coffee there as well, the basic ones!
CONS: They don’t serve you outside tables.
G. P.
Great venue, great service, food was nothing too special... Avocado Benedict.... Eggs overdone, hollandaise sauce was a bit bland.
Bloody Mary was good.
k. r.
Brilliant staff, service and great food quality. Gorgeous design. Not very pricey. Maybe just desserts could be cheaper. Convenient location.
J. M.
Fabulous highly recommend, wonderful decor, staff very attentive and efficient, food is delicious and excellent choices and the drinks menu exotic . It’s not a cheap dining experience but worth. Service charge included
D. O.
On arrival you do feel that you are arriving somewhere important. We waited to be greeted and a staff member assigned to take us to our table. The surroundings are beautiful and an art deco feel. From floor tiles to ceiling well thought out and designed with an arrange of tropical plants well positioned. Stylish and very comfortable establishment.
Our waitress was recently new to The Ivy and was very pleasant and helpful. We started with the Blood Orange Margarita and a Gin and tonic which were refreshing. Embarrassingly we both ordered exactly the same choices from the menu. For starter we had the Organic Galway Bay Smoked Salmon which was delicious accompanied by fresh crab in a dill cream and a lovely brown soda bread.
The main course was John Stone Sirloin Steak 8 oz with a red wine sauce, truffle mash and sugar snap peas. The sirloin steaks let the dining experience down as both looked small and appeared less than 8 oz in size, both were tough and mine had some hard fat which I couldn't see due to the steak being chargrilled and I had to put them to one side. Otherwise the Truffle mash was really lovely and really one portion per person as we had to order a second and the sugar snap peas were really good. We both had two different glasses of red wine with the dinner also really good. We had been recommended by a staff in Carluccio's earlier to have the Chocolate Bombe which we agreed was a great recommendation and really enjoyed it. We didn't complain about our steaks as the waitress was so nice and new to The Ivy and as she had been so nice we didn't want to annoy her but on another occasion we would have as at €29.95 per steak you would expect a much higher standard. It was an expensive evening but non the less we left a very good tip as our waitress had made us feel so welcome. Our friends had highly recommended The Ivy and were surprised that we were left underwhelmed by our steaks as they said The Ivy is know for its steaks but I do know from experience that steak can be a hit or less often a miss as it was in this case hence the medium star rating. This has not put us off and we will return another time.

Very nice place to celebrate or just eat/drink. Great meals and amazing desserts. Professional and polite crew. Really enjoyed my visit :)
M. K.
Love place. Beautiful decor and service very friendly. Worth a visit for a treat. expensive....
A. F.
Prawn starter and chicken milanese main course were excellent. Great ambience to the restaurant and in house DJ adds to the experience. Great place.
J. F.
Delicious breakfast and absolutely lovely service. Really great atmosphere, sweet music and fine dishes. Try the coconut dairy free option with the elderflower cooler. Refreshing!
One note to the Ivy: remove the plastic straws to reach 5 stars. 🌟
C. C.
Absolutely loved this, the venue and the food. Had the arancini balls you start, really enjoyed those and sourdough bread. The prawn and monkfish curry was utterly divine, strawberry sundae comes highly recommended also. Husband had the blackened cod and chocolate bomb with salted caramel, yummy also but heavy after all the food we already had! I'll definitely be back soon, thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Can't wait to try more from the menu.
P. M.
Loved this place. It left me wanting to return the following day. The atmosphere is relaxing, can easily be a place you either dress up or dress down in. It is pricey... but staff are great, they're not over the top. I loved it.
N. R.
Great meal after lockdown. Atmosphere and service were excellent too.
m. y.
Had brunch and dinner. Great friendly service, and great food. Nice to see all the staff adhering to the Covid 19 rules. Good show.👍👍👍🍷🍷🍷
D. W.
An A* experience (again!) Fabulous food served by superb staff in luxurious surroundings. Well worth a visit.
F. L. C.
Amazing restaurant, deserves 5 stars... The staff treat you very well, not many options in the menu which personally I like, what is there is very good, delicious food, unbelievable dessert... Was my wedding anniversary and after I told the the waiter he brought an amazing happy anniversary mini cake.. you have to book in advance because the restaurant is in high demand.. if you get earlier there go to bar and enjoy amazing cocktails
Highly Recommended!!!!
C. R.
Great service and interior! The food is good but nothing special :)
P. O. D.
Felt our waitress was under huge pressure to get us out of there within our allotted time. Good buzz and food ok
P. W.
Very cool place to visit. Food was excellent. We seem to have extra things added to the bill so keep an eye on that. But probably a mistake so don't let that put you off.
c. s.
Up there with some of the best food I've tasted. The steak was incredible. Atmosphere was very nice and people lovely
k. s.
Great, friendly and professional service. Excellent food. The starters and mains in particular are brilliant. Highly recommended.
S. W.
Had an excellent brunch yesterday and a fantastic breakfast this morning. Excellent service. Food was reasonably priced and of a very good quality. Steak baguette for brunch was very tasty. Very nice decor and surroundings with a cool and smooth ambience
A. D.
Great service, really great. The menu was very nicely laid out with a large selection of dishes. The curry and the wagu burger were excellent. My new Dublin 2 favourite.
A. C.
Lovely cocktails!!!!!!!!!!! Pricey but almost worth it. The service charge is a little on steep side. Especially if the staff don't get it!!!!!!!!!! I would go back, mainly for the cocktails. As they are fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???!!!!!!!
D. M.
Highly recommended!!! This is a swanky little place with a very high end feel but at a reasonable price. Service was unbelievable and the food was even better! Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Dublin!
E. L.
Really friendly staff, automatic temperature checks at the door aswell as hand sanatizer. Lovely choice of food and nice drinks.
E. O. H.
Great for an occasion. Daniel is an excellent waiter! sometimes I think there are lots of staff at the Ivy. food was good 👍
G. R.
Just perfect. Very very tasty
M. O.
Lovely place to go for dinner or cocktails (or both!) Beautifully decorated, delicious food, excellent service
Z.
The food was amazing! It was nice and crispy, the staff were well dressed and mannerly, the portion size was lovely, only thing is that it can be quite pricy
T. K.
Awesome breakfast/brunch! Love coming here early, cause it's quiet and don't need to book in advance ! Love the interior as well.
D. T.
First time there, I did like it, staff were friendly and the food was good at a fair price, just a little crowded not fantastic social distancing but not a problem.
j. c.
Beautiful restaurant, fabulous food. Lovely luxury atmosphere. I would highly recommend.
R. T.
Beautiful restaurant and loved the ambience and elegance but the food was nothing special. I ordered the eggs royale and my friend the pancakes. Great looking food but just tasted average. Pancakes were a disappointment!!
The salted expresso martini was fabulous on the other hand!
A. P.
Eclectic design, good food and attentive & friendly service. Went for dinner - menu had wide variety of options suitable for meeting needs of most dinner parties.
C. M.
Fantastic service and decor - the attention to detail is extremely good.
Food is good but nothing spectacular, I had a roast beef sandwich and creme brûlée but it was under my expectations. I’d give this place another try but it’s nowhere close to other restaurants in the area.
M. L.
Excellent food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere, lovely decor , nothing too much trouble.
k.
Fine dining at normal prices. Very comfortable experience and very friendly staff.
J. K.
Really nice place too eat. A bit prices but nice for special occasions
O. M.
Beautiful food and even better atmosphere! Nice cocktails too. Will be back.
D. B.
Food was great as usual. But unfortunately too many people allowed walk around the common area without wearing their masks
h. c.
Well worth a visit. Food excellent and lovely ambiance
D. M.

D. B.
Excellent. Great unique decor and nice food
S. o.
Fabulous food, service par excellence and atmosphere relaxed.
T. F.
This restaurant has a very great design. Also the food is delicious
P. S.
Food and service was excellent. The only thing was that the table and seating were to close to each other and not comfortable.
O. B. B.
The place is nice, people working there as well😊
But I just felt it was really over priced and I didn't enjoy the food that much.
T. E.
Was in Dublin on business and had this gem of a restaurant just a 2 minute walk from our hotel. The decor in this place is beautiful, the food is very tasty and the service good.
D. J.
Lovely spot & great food.we really enjoyed.
Not forgetting the charmingly chatty host Gregory..🥰
Thanks
Dara
T. Q.
Great service, great food, great experience!!! Highly recommended!
G. M.
Was OK, nothing outstanding considering the history of the company
R. G.
Food was delicious and service good, however they got our order wrong and instead of owning it, they said it was for a different table, but our food took another 30 mins to arrive... Mistakes happen but lying about it isn't the right move.
N. J.
Amazing atmosphere. My wife and I went to The Ivy in London after I proposed to her 2 years ago. This year we came to Ireland for our honeymoon, and had to celebrate with dinner at The Ivy in Dublin. Amazing dinner!
G. T.
Good restaurant, great food but the prices are too high and there is way too much sound all around.
You can hardy hear each other when talking.
M. M.
Food was good. Staff were quite rude. As a table of 2 we would like to decide between us what to leave as service charge but we were not giving that option as it was automatically added on.
K. D.
Love their avocado benedict and oolong rose tea. Service is amazing.
H. G.
Have been here a number of times and like the space - never feels crowded and you can have conversations without feeling everyone can hear. The food I think though has become a bit painting by numbers - OK but not memorable.
M. J.
Lovely to be able to return to The Ivy. Full marks for their table distancing & maskwearing. Ambience lively & buzzing as usual. Table service very attentive & tableware of a high standard. I look forward to a 'daily special'apprearing as the present menu is all too familiar. I will be back.
M. G.
Very nice staff..delicious food..amazing location
G. C.
Excellent service. Top notch comfort food. Great cocktails. Had improved a lot over our last visit which was still very good.
A. M.
Lovely decor. Really nice food
R. B.
One of my favorite places to dine in Dublin, definitely recommended.
To the management, we would appreciate being able to give tips by card and not only by cash as this put us in an awkward situation.
Thanks and 100% coming back!
D. D.
Full experience restaurant, the moment you enter you immediately feel the Great Gatsby style and you are treated the same way.
Would strongly recommend going 1hr before your reservation time so you can start with a cocktail at the bar.
When time table is ready, the maître the salle personally picks you up to bring you to the table.
Food is refined, an not too expensive.
Overall experience is strongly recommended
G. M.
Beautiful place to eat,was outdoor dining here & it would have made the experience better if had of been inside.Very hard to eat with buses flying by & no heaters.Yet menu outside or inside same price.
j. w.
Bravissimo!!
Fantastic food wonderful staff
Well priced food!
Marvellous location!!
E. C.
Good crowd and interiors. Nice location. The staff was quite wonderful with both food suggestions and hospitality. Loved the salted espresso martini.
J. W.
This venue is a wonderful visual delight with the 5 star approach and friendliness you need to experience once you set foot on the grounds. This is my second visit within two weeks and I got amazing servers that hail from beautiful parts of the european world or I was just darn lucky:) Daniele was our waiter today 10.2.19 but everyone who works here works fluidly as a team and the sense of pride in their service truly great. Both occasions were for a birthday event and both waiters so kind to bring a candle and dessert out for the birthday lovelys. Food is cooked to a great standard and so delicious and the one thing I've observed TWICE is everyone thoroughly enjoying the food. What I truly love is the colours and wallpaper on walls and ceilings, the comfortable seats, automatic blinds, all the art work & the beautiful lighting and mirrored panels and the brilliant sense of light and decadence running through the restaurant. You feel the luxury and the experience in all aspects. Well worth a booking and if not for dinner than drinks at the bar. Thank you to the staff there for their happy smiles and service! Excellent experience
T. S.
A wonderful evening with my couple, exquisite food and attentive staff. They have made my birthday an incredible memory. Thanks, we will be back for sure!!
S. M.
Lovely restaurant very helpful and friendly staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was delicious
C. M. N.
Beautiful place. Food is good, no amazing but venue makes up for it
M. P.
Nice but noisy and very expensive. I have eaten and had better experiences in other restaurants
u. w.
Lovely food but hassled to leave after less than 2 hrs despite spending just just shy of €200 for 2 of us on food and drink ! 😕 really ??? Wouldnt come again
B. C.
Friendly staff and delicious drinks for typical Ivy prices, outside is a great spot for people watching.
C. G.
Great food and very friendly helpful service. The decor feels fancy, veering on the side of over-the-top but fun.
A. O.
I Really Really enjoyed my experience.
Excellent service.
Excellent food.
B. B.
My wife and I went for lunch in the ivy and it was a wonderful experience. Great food and excellent staff
C. M.
Lovely atmosphere..staff are friendly food and drinks are the best
S. D.
Beautiful food and great service. Cannot fault a thing! Really nice vegetarian options. Will definitely be returning again!
e. h.
Greg thank you so much for the exceptional Service. You genuinely made my friend's suprise birthday special 😘😘😘
m. p.
Ah love the Ivy, feels like the great gatsby but in Dublin! The Great Gearoid anyone? Bwaha great to have a laugh
H. O.
The service was amazing and the food was spectacular. Found that the little touches like hand sanitiser at your table were done exceptionally well. We also brought our 8 yr old daughter who really enjoyed the non alcoholic cocktails which were also reasonably priced. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back
L. I.
Lovely food, great service and great atmosphere!
T. O.
Food was excellent, couldn’t fault it at all. Great vegetarian options for my vegetarian friend. Very nice surroundings. Only two criticism. The host didn’t seem very friendly and looked as though she was in a mood. And an unexpected service charge. For a party of two I haven’t seen a service charge in some time and I eat out a lot. I confirmed that the staff do get the service charge but I’d rather tip myself. Advise changing your policy in that regard. Overall good experience.
B.
Very nice food and nice staff. Waiter asked for any allergies whilst taking our order which I felt was a very nice touch
A. C.
Excellent food and service all around. Highly recommend. Service charge was unexpectedly high but whatever.
M. S.
Very nice experience, fish and chips was good, mushy peas were beautiful, 1917 IVY breakfast tea, was not to write home about, eggs benedict was perfect in every way, sauce was a winner, staff are exceptionally attentive and approachable, great run shift here, will be returning for more great dishes on the menu 👏👏👏🎉🎉🙏🙏🙏
G. C.
The decor is fantastic. Was only there once. Had the fish cakes which were crisp on outside, soft on inside, well seasoned, atop a delicious pea puree. The service was slow a few times throughout so slightly disappointed. Would return for the atmosphere and food
N. H.
try the lamb it's amazing and melting chocolate bomb is spectacular
i. a.
top of the range! delicious food, outstanding interior, lovely staff! 11 out of 10 :)
G. H.
Fabulous decor venue and nice staff but food is really not great. Very nice pub grub standard, nothing special - doesn't live up to the name or venue unfortunately
J. S.
Superb food, beautiful setting! Absolutely recommended!
S. G.
Wow fab place food was beautifull staff lovely well done ivy!! Il deffo be back!!
T. R.
The food was amazing, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. There is a good choice on the menu for both food and price. The negative for me was when ordering a fillet steak for approximately €35 I had to pay a further €4 for a sauce and €5 for chips. It was cooked to perfection and tasted beautiful but not sure it was worth that.
M. M.
Lovely decor. Great service. Very over priced - extra €3.65 for sauce for steak. Pint of Guinness should be in a pint glass, not a silly glass (slightly pretentious)
K. H.
Fab food, fab cocktails and fab day out to treat yourself!
d.
Excellent, well worth the visit
Great decor, good buzz, nice staff and feeling of elegance, well worth the few Bob extra.
Cod and duck salad lovely, Ivy burger let the side down
Definitely go again
P. X.
Great food. Great atmosphere. It was slightly on the pricey side but the quality was very good. I would have liked a greater selection of french wines but that is a personal preference. Staff were really friendly and helpful, our waitress from Brazil had a surprising knowledge of french wine. Will be returning soon.
T. G.
Lovely food, nice outdoor area. There are no heaters so wrap up for outdoor dining, and if its raining not sure it would work but sun was shinning for us and it was lovely
L. S.
Amazing meal . The staff are so friendly I would definitely recommend
D. C.
Food was really good and quite reasonably priced. The whiskey creme brûlée is amazing.
L. P.
Had an amazing experience loved the food, and the service was super
N. O. H.
Fun, hip, funky and cool with gorgeous food
C. W.
Most over rated and overpriced hendersons/Musgrave food for the area, for all the talk about this place i found it fairly average at best
M. M.
A lovely festive experience. The service was great and the food was lovely.
B. S.
Art Deco Restaurant with plush sofas a swish bar and the lushest powder room in Dublin. Old school glamour and service done with style -loved it!
G. K.
What can I say?
Service poor
As I’m coeliac I was given a rather large folder to try to work out what I could eat, tables are small so this was very awkward- why they don’t mark numbers like other places I don’t know and then to add insult to injury I could only order from The more expensive menu not the lunch menu which is priced better. This really disappointed me and we nearly left but as we were celebrating I persevered.
Wrong order came for starter, again service poor.
But food was delicious and restaurant beautiful to look at. But as others have said there are plenty of options in Dublin so won’t be rushing back - very expensive- felt disappointed and self conscious.
R. A.
Great food, good service, perfect atmosphere.
R. P. v. A.
Always the best weekend brunch and friendly service! Always bring my friends and family here :)
R. T.
Certainly the place to be fantastic food great ambiance a total classy affair
M. G.
Amazing food and nice ambience but very expensive service charge
A. C. D.
I think the decor/food/service ratio needs to be better balanced before this restaurant can reach it's full potential. I really loved the ambiance and decor! The food just wasn't good enough. The service was neither good nor bad but just a bit 'needy' (they are at that age when they think we care and they all thought they were 'beautiful' people). We waited too long for our order to be taken but then the food was out before we could blink (which is not a good sign). I'm not sure I'd go back to eat but will definitely return for cocktails!
T. T.
Great menu , good service and lovely atmosphere
J. N.
The place looks like a tropical zoo. A lot of plants in pots and colorful pictures of animals on the walls. I love it. The ambiance is amazing. It is light, airy and colorful.
The service was first grade. The waiters are dressed in uniforms and ours was very polite and accommodating.
We also found the food outstanding. Small but delicious portions. It is expensive but you can see why. We loved it.
R. M.
Great place. Food amazing
s. k.
What a wonderful experience and feed. Fantastic setting, service and food. We were well looked after by Will (manager) and his team, and their recommendations were spot on. Delicious prawns, scallops and steak. Would absolutely recommend.
C. O.
Fabulous decor, lovely staff and delicious food. And then the chocolate bomb😲❤
A. R.
Had a delicious Eggs Benedict from the breakfast menu. Couldn't fault it. Freshly squeezed orange juice and tea to wash it down 👌
N. W.
Amazing Food and fantastic service. Thank you Anna who looked after my friends and I . Very friendly and polite. She asked were we celebrating anything today . We celebrated me getting a job after 5 months unemployed. Anna came out with a little sweet desert with congratulations on the job. Very sweet touch. Thank you
E. P.

Great venue, great food, great cocktails...staff a bit under pressure but what can I say ....great
C. V.
We found it too loud, but the food was really really good so I recommend it!
A. M.
Lovely food and setting and attentive staff
L. F. D.
Great outdoor dining experience, covid regulations followed well - our server Melissa was absolutely lovely and very attentive!
c. h.
20th birthday celebrations - food and service outstanding, only one beer on tap (not a foodies one). Definitely putting on repeat A++++ all round
s. l.
This really is a dining experience. The atmosphere brilliant. The service out of this world. The food awesome and the dessert menu unreal. Not cheap but certainly not expensive. 6 adults and not a flaw with any course. Had a 1 and 4 years old as well. Staff constantly over chatting to them making them so welcome. Minimum 5 stars
J. F.
Great . I got bass and it was delicious.
and staff were great and very helpful
D. W.
Great food, great atmosphere and the staff made our visit even more memorable!!! Top shelf!!
A. R.
Lovely restaurant with gorgeous interior. The food was really good and delicious. Be prepared to get small portions and order sides. Prices are a bit on the high end so be prepared for this also. Loved the apple tart, just didn't like the hot liquid they poured over it it tasted like alcohol I think. Will surely visit again and will recommend it to my friends.
L. C.
Great atmosphere and good food. Service was not so good.
W. K.
Service was amazing and food was delicious. Some great variety on the menu. Really like this spot.
D. D.

a. r.
Great food and service

Fabulous service and amazing drinks and food. What an absolute pleasure. Thank you
E. W. H.
Wonderful treat from my eldest. The food is fabulous from courgette fries...if u order do think about sharing as good sized bowl. We loved them. Then M had crab starter, salmon mains and coffee cake for dessert.
After sharing courgette fries l had the Roasted Butternut squash with chickpea, quinoa and pomegranate seeds really tasty.
Then we had the wonderful show that comes with dessert, coffee cake had the sauce poured onto plate. The chocolate bomb WOW. Hot caramel sauce poured over and the chocolate melts revealing ice cream, this sits on a bed of cream and surprise toffee crunch. Every bite was a taste explosion. M had glasses of red wine which she said was lovely, we had a bottle of sparkling water and l a black coffee to finish. My 1st time here but l hope to be back. M has visited s few times and said l was in for a treat.
If u get a chance definitely go. The staff from the reception on entering were lovely. Our waiter was brilliant.
D. B.
Dined for breakfast. Lovely service and great food.
T. A.
Superb location, service and food quality, excellent cocktails and all while watching the world go by....recommended
E. C.
A firm family favourite.
Highly recommended the Breakfast
V. C.
I booked this restaurant for an early dinner before a concert. Our experience was amazing! The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and helpful. The food was unreal, so fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. We both had starters, main and we shared a dessert, also had a very nice bottle of Merlot. For the quality of everything I found it very reasonably priced and would 100% go back again! Very happy customer.
P. S.
We had a fantastic Christmas eve breakfast I would highly recommend it
B. G.
Lovely restaurant. Great cocktails
L.
I love this restaurant. The decor is really nice and the food and drinks don't disappoint. I had the monkfish and prawn curry which was excellent. The chocolate bomb is more than just a great boomerang and tastes excellent too. This is a great spot for a catch up with a few of the girls or a date!
W. B.
The food was perfectly prepared and the selection was very broad so it caters to everyone's taste. A nice relaxed atmosphere with nice lighting neither too bright or too dark. Staff had a perfect balance of attentiveness without standing over your shoulder. Great selection of wines and cocktails for those who like to try something new, but also had the classic favourites. Will definitely go here again.
L. A.
Starter was fantastic. I was hesitating between salmon and beef but the salmon choice turned great.
E. H.
Birthday celebration lunch for one of our party
After a little problem of paying for a bottle of Processo in advance...it was sorted.
Food & service was impeccable. Good value for what eat & the service we received. No rush with us staying
@ the table until we wanted to leave.
All in all a lovely afternoon
S. M. C.
Love revisiting here, great food and ambience. An absolute winner.

C. M.
The Ivy was a very very pleasant experience. Lovely lunch. Great service. Friendly staff. Our first town outing & lunch treat since the lock-down. It was worth the visit. Coming back soon for another treat.🥳🥳
E. J.
I went here with girlfriends for brunch and I was really looking forward to it.
The place looked amazing and atmosphere was so good but it's over priced for what it is. There is a tonne note nicer places in Dublin to eat that would be much more affordable then here.
We enjoyed ourselves but I wouldn't go back.
A. V.
I was there for dinner. The staff add one seat to our reservation at the last minute. That was thoughtful and kind from their part. You have a vast selection of drinks. Food menu, you don't many vegetarian options just a couple. Nice atmosphere.
A. A.
Food was nice, location and ambient superb, I particularly enjoyed the cocktails :)
F. B.
The decoration of the place is so beautiful.
I was very disappointed with the service, the waiter was a bit rude, maybe because we didnt dress up for dinner? Food was Just ok, for the price that you pay, I was expecting more. Starts and desserts were really tasty and creative, however, main courses nothing special. For what it costs, you could go twice to a better restaurant.
m.
The place is indeed beautiful as is the food but the wait staff I feel turned their nose up a bit at the group of 14 of us that turned up. I had spotted them chatting and smiling with other (older, and probably well off) customers, and with us, they seemed bothered , and huffing when we asked something or if it seemed we caused inconvenience. We work in animation and maybe they felt the way we dressed was the way to judge us. I felt judged by my age and clothes which in what seemed like a well kept establishment would not have been the case. High quality food as well as staff would be appreciated .
M.
Sorry just passed by but it looks very nice!
Y. D. M.
Excellent service and hospitality. They accommodated us arriving with luggage from the airport (the staff kindly stored it in the cloak room). The food is amazing with generous portions. I will definetly be returning to the Ivy.
m. k.
First visit, will definitely be back. Fish n chips delish...... Friendly staff...
R. O.
Beautiful food. Friendly staff. A lovely experience.
A. S.
Place is nice ,staff friendly, good service just a food was a let down.
T. C.
Amazing food great service and lovely ambieance.
M. C.
Fab bloody mary, excellent grub. Staff willing but slow.
S.
Food was excellent.
Service was excellent.
Choice of wines appealed to me greatly - good variety and price range.
The restaurant itself has a really good ambiance and altogether a very pleasant way to spend an evening.
L. S.
Food is really good. Friendly personel.
R. B.
Good food, very comfortable seating, nice design
S. M.
We've been to the Ivy for afternoon tea and we loved it! It was a real traditional afternoon tea including a pot of tea and scones as well. It was delicious. The service was excellent. The interior is outstanding! We were amazed by all the details and the whole look of the restaurant, the bar and the toilets.
B. K.
Loved the decor. The service was great. The flavours of the food were adventurous and delicious. Portion size was just perfect. There was a DJ there (Friday night) and the music was just a little too loud to make it comfortable to talk.
J. H.
Posers paradise. Mediocre food. Nice atmosphere
N. M.
Was brought here as a surprise for my birthday and I was not let down. The drinks, food and service were amazing. The decor is also fabulous! If you go be sure to try the chocolate bombe dessert.
J. C.
The food was very good at a reasonable price. But the service was very poor, inattentive and overall inexperienced. Simple things such as clearing glasses, topping up wine which was kept off the table. Meet and greet was very nice and friendly, the service at the table was slow and sub standard. The food was definitely the saving grace. The DJ standing in the corner did very little to add to the atmosphere of the place
h. s.
We had a very enjoyable evening here today lovely meal good menu very friendly staff it's reasonably enough priced very clean.
B.
Good food. Good service. Lovely brunch experience.
C. F.
The ivy was just amazing ,such a beautiful restaurant and the staff were just so lovely they made the experience extra special. Can't wait to return
P. F.
Only ate here once. Excellent service and the food was top class. Lovely cocktail bar to wait at before your table or just to have a drink without eating. I’ll definitely be going back.
A. P.
I wanted to love this place I really did I was so excited about going here for a Christmas dinner with friends but it just fell a bit flat for me. The bill for 3 of us was €200 and we didn’t even get starters. I ordered the fillet steak which was only ok and it didn’t come with any sides I had to order a portion of chips and some veg on top which was another €12. That is ridiculous especially as the chips were not anything special! The chocolate bombe dessert was lovely but once it melts it’s really just a mousse there’s nothing under it I thought it lacked substance. I don’t think I would eat here again.

Was expecting this to be overpriced and pretentious. It wasn't. Very trendy decor but still pretty easy going atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Just normal people doing their jobs. Both cheaper or more expensive options on the menu. Food was excellent and so were the cocktails. Very pleasantly surprised and will definitely visit again.

Centrally located, warm and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Amazing interior decor, real feast for the eyes. Didn't try the food, just popped in for a few drinks. Cocktail menu limited and selection of whiskies was very small. Other than that, great spot for a night cap.

The decor of this place is what caught my eye to book this restaurant for my friend’s birthday dinner. It’s truly beautiful inside, even down to the toilets. The service was good and the food was reasonably priced for the type of restaurant. I have no complaints and as a bonus the desserts were excellent.

I had the Vegetarian Irish Breakfast as I wasn't sure about black pudding. The breakfast was amazing. My husband had the Traditional Irish Breakfast and was just as good! I tried the pudding and was surprised to find it lovely. The interior of the this restaurant is gorgeous and the staff is super!

Booked a late night dinner with my son and his girlfriend. The interior design was very nice and appealing looking. The bar and waitstaff were very attentive, the meals were very nicely presented, appetizing and tasty. The only negative would have to say, is about the bar-stools, they were uncomfortable, so we were very pleased to be escorted to our table for our meal.
We have already make another booking for a late night dinner

Best duck salad and always a great atmosphere

I am generally obsessed with this place and yet again didn't disappoint, food is fantastic and the only thing that beats that is the service.

Venue glamourous. No question. Front of house, professional and gracious. Restaurant staff good, polite and professional.
Afternoon tea appeared to be a huge success.
Prices very good.
Wine list excellent and an array of various beers, ciders and cocktails were available.
Bar staff, not so much. One person in particular was sloppy, his cocktail making involved a lot of spillage. He was very loud telling his endless stories. More interested in being centre stage than the customer.
Next time I will book and sit at a table. And there will be a next time.

My first experience of The Ivy. Beautiful place with excellent service. Looking forward to a return visit.

Brunch is amazing! Place is beautiful and the staff is just so lovely!

It is my third visit to the Ivy and I have to say that the standard hasn't decreased. The food is absolutely lovely and the prices are okay, service was excellent and the coffee was one of the best I had in Dublin- which I find it very hard to get a good cup of cappuccino or a flat white here. Hurray! Super satisfied and definitely will be back...

Nice food but very pricey for what u get

Great service and had the special which was rack of lamb and it was delicious but... it was double the price of my friends meal... ! Just added a snap of the wine list... see wine there for €375 ! Do people spend that on a bottle? Happily married for love not money, so that won't be me buying it... !

A totally relaxing fabulous afternoon. Our group visited the Literature Museum in the morning and lunch in the IVY was our afternoon treat. It is very stylish light filled room that looks like it was a movie set. Botanical prints and sumptuous wallpaper wrap the place in beautiful colour. THE FOOD, Service, and effortlessly elegant table settings were a match for the lovely decor. Silver teapots, customised linen and Muslim wrapped lemon were some of my favourite little touches. Two course lunch is under €22 euro so not expensive for such a treat..

I did not experience anything that the negative reviewers did, I loved it so much I came back the next night. The four of us all loved our meals. We were looking for somewhere to eat and after 9 apparently that is an issue in Dublin! Well we came across the Ivy after being turned down by several restaurants at around 945pm. The host said he could still seat us up to 10pm. Our dinners were all well executed and the presentations were beautiful. Great establishment! When I come back to Dublin I am absolutely stopping here!

What a lovely experience The Ivy was.. Beautiful meal and atmosphere.. we had a minor complaint, and it was dealt with on a professional and dignified manner by the manager Katie. All in all ,it was a wonderful experience.. we will be back

Great location, great quality of food, good menue choices and nice staff. Adhering to Covid-19 chequeing rules.

Beautiful restaurant. Well layed out. Service was spot on. A little on the expensive side but in fairness the quality of our food was worth it. Only down side for me was the lack of cider options with bulmers being the only one. But it's not really a deal breaker. I will be back as it is well worth a visit

To be honest, my other half talked me into going for dinner in The Ivy and I wasn't really looking forward to it but I'm glad we went. Really excellent food and service for what I thought was very good value. It is also absolutely beautifully fitted out so hats off to whoever was involved in that, well done. Great addtion to Dublin and we'll definitely be back.

Beautiful venue. Decor & ambiance are top class. After a third visit it seems the food & table service are still finding their feet but bar service is impeccable. Mario in particular is very attentive & professional, a real asset to the establishment.

Food was mostly ok. 2 mains cooked incorrectly (steaks). Took 30 mins for them to be replaced. No acknowledgement of issue with the mains when bill came and they had no hesitation to add the 12.5% "discretionary" service charge. Drinks service was efficient.

First visit to the ivy and I can't wait to return. The food was top notch and the staff were lovely and friendly

A top class spot for a top class drink or bite to eat. Staff are very well turned-out, service is impeccable and the atmosphere is sensible yet relaxed. I highly recommend a visit here - either for the plwasure of a quick drink or the experience of a nice meal.

Had big expectations with this place after few friends recommended me. The food was alright but not better than other places that offer similar . For the prices they charge I kind of expected something else or different. We weren't very impressed either with the service.

Great food. That chocolate bomb desert thing should be illegal it's that nice.

Delicious food, great service, beautiful decor. The ladies bathrooms are also stunning. Good cocktails too. (Brunch only available weekends unfortunately)

Lovely dining experience with excellent staff

This place is going to be a front runner in Dublin for food, service and quality of their bar program. We popped in to see what the buzz was about, and we were not disappointed! The decor seems a bit loud when you first walk in, but when you take a moment to look around, it makes sense. The bathrooms downstairs were beautiful, as was the private dining area. A must visit!

Beautiful surroundings..fantastic food..great service

First time in the Ivy and I have to say I'm very impressed with their Vegan and Vegetarian menu. It's refreshing to see a place catering for vegan and vegetarians with more than one choice. Both my starter and main were delicious.I will definitely be back!

We had a lovely dining experience, with great service and great food. Will certainly return.

Okay, I have been in a few times, and maybe comparing it to Fire up the street is like comparing a cheese board and fudge cake for desert, they are different and rightly so but...
I am fortunate, I get to eat out quite a bit. Everything from burgers and beer with clients and friends to Guillbault.
First time in The Ivy, a busy dinner service, I saw the hype, the staff were friendly, a bit familiar for the setting and the food was nice but the sense was the place was busier because of the brand and the idea it was trendy to be seen here than the experience warranted.
Still, a positive overall experience.
Experience No.2. A quiet lunch with a business partner. Quiet enough to have a chat, lots of space and the roast beef sandwich was lovely, if not a little cold with the sauce quite cold too. I didn't mind so much, but an honest review is an honest review.
Staff again friendly, more respectful at lunch time and a bit more in keeping with the setting. The meeting was more important than the lunch, it is the things you remember though.
Experience 3. Enough visits to make a judgement. Another dinner service, this time a bit earlier.
We had initially decided to arrive a bit early to have a drink at the bar before dinner. On arrival we were met at the door, given our drinks card and made our way to the bar.
The bartender I ordered from was friendly, trained well, but the pretence of the one handed pour and the experiential movements was lost with the lack of an ironed shirt.
A quick scan around the bar, showed all the hallmarks of a disorganised front for a faux fine experience. The white jackets behind the bar, heavily stained, not pressed like the managers and senior staff jackets, bearing all the marks of carried boxes and spilled drinks.
The faces of concentration on the managers, watching the floor as staff scurry with trays of food and drinks while behind the bar bottles thrown onto the back bar were discarded, labels facing the wrong way, each one taking from the overall crispness seen in the decor.
Not once the bar wiped while customers were being served while staff chatted behind the bar and vented their frustrations and discussed who was going on a break next.
One of the managers mixing Espresso Martinis in recycled vodka bottles offered help when it came time for us to be seated, asking the host to bring us to our table.
This time round, on the transition between early and dinner service there were no table cloths. The edges and top of the table thick with other peoples elbow grime like something you found on the arms of your grannies chairs in the 1980s.
On ordering, our meals, our waitress, red eyed and shaken handed poured our wine and seemed confused when we ordered our meals, forgetting to ask which sauce with my steak, what accompaniments with our meals and randomly walked off mid order.
The Scallop starter was beautiful and when the mains arrived, first they arrived without the sauce and chips for both meals, then after the sauce arrived, 5 minutes after the meals, the chips were to follow, one silver cup at a time. The food itself was again beautiful, just let down by the service.
Desert time it was and being partial to creme brûlée. It was always going to be my first option. quite large and with a thick coating of caramelised sugar crust on top, i cracked into it. Like a flavourless watery scrambled egg covered in melted sugar. It was all I could taste.
We did attempt to get the attention of the staff a number of times during this time but just gave up.
Eventually with the deserts half eaten, we asked for the rest of our wine and the bill and gave up.
Leaving a restaurant or bar having worked in many. I always say thank you and acknowledge the staff on the way out, only this time to be ignored, or missed as we walked out.
The Ivy loses it on the minor details. Hiding behind a name and fancy decor.

Had a enjoyable meal here on a Tuesday evening. Early bird ends by 1830 so just missed on that. Decor is intresting and modern. Service was professional , very friendly and efficient. Quality of food was good and priced, just right. They have a,good selection of wine and cocktails though no draught beer. I believe the latter will be in place shortly. Facilities are modern and clean. Atmosphere is relaxed and there is a buzz to the place. Would recommend it for a meal for two or a group meal.

We had a wonderful evening with good food, excellent atmosphere and service. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff are extremely attentive, the food is good and the prices are not ridiculous for the quality. They definitely deserve 5 stars and I have no problem recommding, or going back for another special evening

Excellent food and waiting staff. The barman was more than accommodating by mixing cocktails not on the list. Unfortunately the front of house lady when entering was quite rude and somewhat unhelpful. Luckily having been to other IVY restaurants in London I can forgive the rudeness for the quality of food.

Went for dinner today. The staff were very professional and decor was fresh, but felt like i was sitting on top of other diners. Had starter of crispy duck salad which was excellent...however chicken milanese was basically a reheated breaded chicken with no flavour. Both our deserts....choc bomb and sundae were nice. Full of a lot of woman groups taking pics. Can get better around dublin for the money.

Beautiful, botanical and full of colour design of this place is definitely something what stands out amongst other restaurants in Dublin, as well as the fact that it's open all day from early morning until late evening. We came for breakfast last Sunday morning.
Service-very friendly and smiley staff, but they are all new, need to learn how to communicate between each other,in order to keep things smooth. Food-large menu, as a vegetarian I had good few options. Presentation unfortunately average, I was expecting more, taste-OK, nothing special, but descent portions
Lovely place, we will come back sometime for sure.

Haven't had the event yet but the private dining team have been superb, incredibly flexible and understanding, particularly Sarah. The menus look wonderful and the private dining area is really unique, highly recommend for a special event.

Lovely decor and location. Loved the cheesecake. Otherwise the food was fairly average. Staff were lovely but service was sometimes a bit slow.

Had lunch in the Ivy, stunning decor. Extensive and varied menu. Fine dining at its best, only surpassed by the welcoming and attentive staff (very Covid compliant). Can't wait to go back.

Kind of place to go for a knees up, not for a intimate meeting of minds. Staff are amazing, friendly and professional 👏. Food is decent, nothing amazing, but it's a nice, if loud, room. Good buzz.

Fabulous interiors.
Very friendly staff, one waitress in particular made us feel very welcome with our 10 week old daughter when we thought we stood out as been the only people with a child.
Food portions and quality are fantastic

This should be a 4... I really liked this place, great atmosphere, the food was lovely, staff were attentive, but the problem was they forgot my steak. We sorted things out in the end but I had heard mixed reviews before we went...and I leave with mixed reviews, and confused feelings!

Really nice place, the food is very tasty and staff is extra polite and very professional

Met some
Old college buddies here yesterday for brunch. Service was excellent. The pretty hostess took our coats when we arrived and allowed us to sit at the bar and have a brunch cocktail before our friend arrived. I had a salmon fish cake on a bed of smashed avocado and topped with a poached egg. I also had two coffees. My friend had crab linguini and a pint of guiness (I know, it’s brunch for god’s sake!!) and my other friend had a sandwich and chips. The bill came to 80 euro which was well worth it. Interior bright and bold and plenty of light coming into the restaurant. I have yet to try it for dinner which I intend on doing.
