I loved it. I had my birthday dinner here and the vibe was just right. Comfy chairs, dim lights and great music. It was chatty and buzzing with life and happiness.
Also, we got complimentary cocktails.

Ive been going to the Trocodero for years and I love it! I love the interior, the photos of all the actors who have visited over the years and most importantly the food is delicious and the staff are so lovely. I would definitely recommend!!

What an amazing night we 3 gals had tonight. 1st time dining indoors together. Staff were amazing, food was outstanding. Robert was very entertaining & attentive. We had such a great night. We laughed. We cried. We cheered. We talked for hours. A Special night we won’t forget👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥂

The owner or manager Robert is one of the kindest people in Dublin. Engaging and full of tips and tricks to manage your way around Dublin. Our dinner was superb and all the staff were extremely nice and accommodating.

One of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. I like to save it for special occasions. Always, always book in advance. You’d be hard to get a walk-in table especially as their early bird is so competitively priced. Always brilliant service and although not a huge range of food options the food is always seasonally produced and cooked and presented perfectly. Great wine list too. Great date night spot.

Beautiful meal in a very friendly atmosphere for my mother's 90th birthday. Thank you to all the staff.
V. F.
Nice and authentic atmosphere but the problem is that the standards in Ireland are really low with respect to Spain. Nice staff and tasty food but it is too pricey in comparison (probably unfair comparison) to Madrid, Oviedo, Valencia, Seville, etc
M. M.
Omg the food the staff the vino the ambience the welcome. Could not find better in Dublin with a slice of history thrown in. Marty & Sinead

The Trocadero is centrally located in Dublin's temple bar, just a few yards off of Dame street . A feature of the cultural quarter the atmosphere is relaxed and you can cast your eye over pictures of their many celebrity guests, and the classic decor . The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, and host some of Dublin's most notable mixologists. Whether you are drinking cocktails or more classic wines, there is something for everyone. The fare is both classic and high end, on the menu you can find an outstanding caneloni along side teriyaki salmon. They also offer an outstanding pre theatre menu or casual bites.

A real Dublin institution. Chicken Supreme was a bit strange! Prawn cocktail and pate were excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection.
T. S. a. f.
Staff and ambiance great especially Tom our waiter. I had the chicken supreme it was a little dry! The starter of liver pate gorgeous 😁
L. Q.
Great atmosphere, excellent staff and very good food. This visit, I had duck for main course, and it was perfectly cooked and served with loads of sides. Others in my group had steak, chicken and cod; everyone enjoyed their meal.
A. F.
Very nice food, I have to say portions are quite small and we did wait 25 minutes for our food.
T. D.
It's always a great experience in the Trocadero. The staff are so attentive and accommodating, and create a really lovely vibe.

We came here to celebrate a 30th birthday and what a great place to come celebrate. Every fine detail here from the place settings to the food and staff was brilliant. If you want to feel a wealth of excellence and the warm friendly banter of the staff, this is the place to come or take someone special.
I wouldn't say this place is a casual dining experience, this really the perfect place for those special occasions. It is a treat on all the senses.
You have a feel of everything being under control under the ever watchful eye from the naturally friendly front of house manager, who seems to break down any of those social wooden barriers you see in films from the 90's off really high end restaurants. So if you have ever walked past this place and felt intimidated by the opulence don't be they are all as welcoming as your Gran meeting your friends. I mention this because my girlfriends mother's told me that since she was 16 she had wanted to go in but never got the courage until it was her 60th! So don't wait just go the food is a spectacular. I enjoyed the chicken liver pate for starters and as always I could never have enough pate. My only gripe is there wasn't enough bread for the pate. I then went on to have the chateaubriand. This is and currently is the only chateaubriand I have had to date so I don't really have much to measure it against, but it was phenomenal! I could use the back of my spoon to cut into it it was that soft and a delicate. Thinking about it now makes my gums ache and mouth water! If I had the money I would come here every night.
Do yourself a favor and come to this fine establishment! There is a reason that it's still open after nearly 60 years.

Great place to have an early evening dinner or late lunch. Plenty to choose from on either menu. Great service and excellent food.

Very good restaurant right in the heart of Dublin. Trocadero has been there for as long as I can remember. The place is decorated with photos of many celebrities. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is very good. There is also a wide range of beers and wines.

A. D.
Wonderful meal. Disappointed pre-theatre menu no longer an option.

Amazing food wine service, super Dublin restaurant I just love it
m. l.
Wonderful meal lovely staff can't wait to go back
F. O.
Any regular to Dublin City will have eaten here at some stage, popular for pre/theater early bird dinner. Dined here with family group and could not have asked for better service as well as an excellent steak dinner for a large group. The menu is easy going with enough variety to keep it interesting after multiple trips. But most of all the clubby feel and personal touch of the staff makes for a very enjoyable evening.
T. M.
A lovely restaurant in centre city with traditional food and excellent service
M. C.
This restaurant must be one of longest standing in Dublin where the average life of a restaurant can be as low as 2 years! Lovely warm decor and a nice bar for pre meal drinks. Plenty of seating . Very good service and very friendly and helpful staff. I had the sole and others had sole and rack of lamb. Food was lovely but could have been hotter. My sole was gorgeous but was warm not hot. Otherwise this is a really good spot with a really good friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
S. H.
First class food with excellent service. Definitely will return.
T. C.
Arrived a little early to the restaurant after a busy (and tiring) day shopping. Given the season, we were expecting to be told to come back at our alotted time. However, we were delighted to be quickly ushered to our seat where we had a delicious, comforting and highly enjoyable meal. The atmosphere here is gorgeous, homely and warm. We commented that the patrons all seemed to be in good form the evening we ate there. Even the acoustics in the room are comforting, not overwhelming even when busy like a lot of newer restaurants in Dublin with their highly reflective and headache inducing surfaces. The staff were excellent as usual, busy, efficient but unobtrusive. Robert sat with us for a chat between courses - which we really appreciated as the place was hopping. Another great dining experience at the Trocadero. Highly recommended. I know we'll be back :)
S. K.
Service was excellent. Menu was a bit limited.
L. H.
Wow, what a wonderful restaurant. Aperitifs at the bar, followed by a delicious meal, my guest had smoked salmon followed by a fish dish, I had lamb rack & a desert of pecan tartlet. A bottle of champagne to wash it all down with, great service in sumptuous surroundings. Total bill was €197, worth energy penny. Highly recommended.
c. d.
Love the food and service was brilliant
J. C.
Excellent thanks for everything. Great restaurant and staff.
G. M.
Excellent service.
Excellent staff.
Excellent ambience.
Excellent food. The Troc is the Dublin experience.
N. G.
First I wanna say Thank you to Robert, for allowing us to make a reservation great customer service food was gorgeous and delicious. The drinks as well. I definitely give this place 10 starts instead of 5. Highly recommended .

Arrived at the restaurant was seated straight away. Arthur served me and my partner and could not do enough for us. The best table service ever absolute gent. Will be back ASAP. And a strong recommendation to friends and family 👌
S. B.
Wonderful evening celebrating our son's graduation. From the moment we arrived we felt special, such a nice atmosphere created from every member of staff. Delighted with our round table and it's location. Food was excellent as always and served with such happiness. Our son was given a gift and was very touched by this gesture in fact blown away by it. It was lovely for us to witness the respect shown to him. Thank you for helping us create such good memories. Looking forward to visiting again and highly recommend Trocadero to everyone.
G. M.
Beautiful traditional restaurant. Food very good and came exactly as ordered. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere and really like the fact they use Linen. Highly recommend as one of the best restaurants in Dublin.
A.
Gorgeous ambience! I haven't been in years and was nice to be back. On the food front I wasn't wowed though and I had to return my fillet steak which was poor. Even the 2nd one wasn't particularly tender but I wasn't in the mood to send it back a 2nd time. Great sides of creamed spinach and ther service that evening by a tall experienced waiter was top notch! I will return but just won't choose a fillet steak next time.
g. k.
Had dinner in this beautiful restaurant on Friday . Food amazing . Staff so great. Our waiter went above and beyond to make our dinner experience memorable. We will definitely be back
M. T.
I was looking for a nice restaurant to bring a family friend who has issues with his voice, so he can only whisper. I rang around a few places, looking for somewhere with nice food/atmosphere that wasn't too noisy to accommodate my friend. The people at Trocadero couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We were given a private booth/alcove, which was perfect, the food was lovely, and the service was great. Thanks so much!
E. R.
Family of 6 on Sat. night celebration included a vegetarian, we went away very happy. Good substantial portions. Had scallops for starter perfectly cooked, then cannelloni creamy and delicious then gluttony had a ice cream float alcoholic of course, with lots of red wine mmmmmm. Great late night spot. We will definitely be back.
W. N.
Very nice restaurant with very good food. I had a piece of meat and I enjoyed it. I ordered it rare and got medium rare. It is ok but I would prefer the right order. The wine is good (glass of bottle).
The service is very good. I had no frustrations in waiting for the food. The servers was discreet and worker well.
I recommend.
M. L.
Just had dinner with my daughter and two friends. Atmosphere is lively but relaxing at same time. Staff were so friendly, and welcoming. Food was extremely good as was the wine. Wud definitely recommend.
D. N.
Amazing food, sophisticated ambience . All was perfect, we ate meat .. special!

At 10 pm last night my family and I were looking for a place to eat and, without any background knowledge about the restaurant, we walked into Trocadero. I am happy to say that the food and service were perfect. After a long day of walking around Dublin, it was nice to have a meal in something other than a pub.
C. P.
Well let’s be frank hell it’s Dublin, what can go wrong, good service good food. Be very honest I couldn’t find a bad place there in the 10 days we stayed. Want to get experience and a great vacation try Dublin I was amazed. And I really did like the place they’re all so unique.
N. B.
The menu is superb, the place and ambience is perfect for an evening out in a comfortable city restaurant that has character.
The staff are all very professional and it great to see that they are there as a profession.
There is a pre theatre dinner menu for if you need it.
There is a good choice of fish and meat. Side dishes of vegetables have inspired me to replicate them at home for Christmas!
T. D.
Food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Can't wait to eat here again.
M. D.
Best place for a quiet evening dinner.... great place.... great service.... great food... The food came really quick piping hot....My favourites... Pea and mint soup, roast chicken and chocolate moose...
l. s.
Luv this restaurant and the staff are superb. Great service and excellent food. Lovely atmosphere. We will be back again

As soon as we walked in the place it just just oozed charachter! For me there was a real 1950's feel and the decor and photos on the walls created a lovely setting! The staff were very friendly even as the restaurant got busy. Very tentative throughout the meal and smartly presented! As for the food...great choice, cooked to perfection and well presented!! Next time I'm in Dublin I will be back! When I emailed the restaurant book I told them time was tight due to our return flight, they gave me a time that suited me and when I got there it turned out they opened early for us!! We could not believe they would do that for us. Made an already fabulous stay in Dublin even more special!!
E. M.
Lovely setting, great staff but food is so so. Had the beef cheek and lamb as main. Shared a pate starter which was just taken out of the packaging so presentation was a bit sad. The butter they brought out at the start was rock solid, straight from the fridge. When I asked could they bring a softer butter the water joked and said they always bring it straight from the fridge 🤔
H. G.
The food here is excellent. Wine was good. Lighting was low and might bother some people. There are a huge amount of mirrors which is kind of weird. The dessert was also good. Service was good until the very end at which point it felt like we were ignored and I grew a beard waiting for the damn check.
E. S.
A wonderful find! In the midst of a bustling city full of trendy eateries and bars and after a day of sightseeing and shoping we found this first class restaurant. A step back in time to crisp white linen and napkins, shining cutlery and glasses, impeccable service and comfortable seating! Interesting walls covered with photos of stars and visitors gone by and good background music that doesn't drown out conversation. Our steaks were perfect and everything felt freshly cooked. The recommended red wine was gorgeous and at perfect temperature. We will definitely be back when we next visit Dublin.
K. S.
Great atmosphere, food & service
R. W.
Me and my friends enjoyed an excellent Christmas dinner in Trocadero last night. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants with the meticulous service and fabulous meal in Dublin, in Ireland, even in the world. It undoubtedly lives up to it's name!
P. C.
A great big thanks, to all the staff in the trocadero,we were made very welcome and treated very well,my thanks to the chef's for the superb food in a nice relaxing ambience no doubt we will be back for all the above,

Loved this place
Lovely service and staff
J. W.
Nice atmosphere, great service, lovely food. Just wish they hadn’t been playing Lionel Richie the whole time I was there - it’s too classy a joint for that!
P. D.
Trocadero never fails to please. Lovely steak and fish there last Friday night. Finally got there after some failed attempts to make a reservation. It is very busy, great food and great atmosphere. Used a gift voucher given as a present. Highly recommend pre theatre for value and main menu for a more leisurely meal.
K. X. B.
The Troc is legendary in Dublin as is the man in charge of the place. It is a spoil yourself kind of place and not a cheap quick bite. The food and the Cocktails are top class and so is the service and the staff. The walls are covered with the signed head shots of the many famous faces that eaten here. You never know who you might bump in to. Highly recommended.
C. C.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Steak was a little tough but very tasty.
S. R.
Been a few times over the years and never a bad experience yet. Food is tasty without being overly fussy or complicated. Atmosphere is very cosy. Always busy so best to book ahead.

Very classy atmosphere for a fine dining experience. Historic -- where famous actors and actresses would dine. Food was really filling and delicious. Highly recommend for a grand evening out.
N. R.
Trocedero is not just a restaurant. ..it is an experience of excellence ...perfectly presented under the watchful eye of the charismatic Robert. From the warmest of welcomes to the gastronomic delight that is their food Trocederos never dissapoints and both Fergus and I cannot wait until our next visit. Thank you to all the staff for another wonderful night. Love niamh
J. F.
Lovely food great service
P. J. H.
Best restaurant in Dublin, by a country mile. Beautiful food, and really helpful & friendly staff. Plus it's one of the few restaurants that give you exactly what you ordered & how your ordered it, on the plate. Great selection of both food, wines & beers.
The atmosphere is wonderful and the layout is both original and user friendly. Perfect for couples or families.
I always try to make sure to visit this restaurant any time I am in Dublin.
Highly Recommended.
D. M.
Always a lovely experience here great friendly staff

A Dublin institution, where conversation is more important than loud music! Lovely, uncrowded dining rooms. Very reasonable and delicious Early Bird. Great central location and great people watching. Very professional staff.

Very 70's/80's. Absolutely brilliant !!
R. O.
One of the most festive places to go at Christmas
G. P.
Such good food! Looks like the theater crowd goes here. Lots of 8×10's on the walls. And they had tequila reposado. A rare find in Europe.
S.
The food here is lovely, there's great choice on the pre-theatre menu and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.
f. s.
Had a beautiful night on Friday, we had a table booked for 6.30pm which was needed back at 8.30pm, service was great , food delicious and great value, plenty of time to eat. After dinner we went to the bar for the rest of the night. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
J. L.
Love the atmosphere and the staff are great as a coeliac the options are limited but that's not unusual in most restaurants but unfortunately as our designated anniversary restaurant the Trocadero won't get rich off us but nevertheless would put this restaurant as one of the best in Dublin
B. K.
Very fancy restaurant catering for the theatrical world. There are pics of irish and international actors of note around the walls. One of the best places to get a late meal in Dublin. The kitchen stays open til midnight. You never know who you'll be rubbing shoulders with during dinner.
B. B.
Great front of house staff. Waiter very friendly. Small portion size. However good value. Good atmosphere
T. M.
This is my most favourite restaurant in the whole of Dublin, I have been going for years the ambience and customer service is next to none... It Will forever be my family restaurant and I would highly recommend to anyone... A must have experience for anyone in Ireland or visiting from abroad ♥

k. G.
Food was amazing, service was second to none. Great atmosphere and was well worth the money. Would recommend
B. H.
I feel like you shouldn't say too much about this place because it sort of spoils the joy of going. It's like stepping back in time. Fading glory sort of covers it – but not that faded. It's the kind of place that 1940s movie stars used to go to. Totally unique and steeped in Dublin history.
S. G.
Average food. The lamb was delicious but the chips and baby potatoes had clearly just come out of the microwave. Didn't get the change to try their pre theatre menu.
B. F.
Brilliant restaurant and friendly staff especially our waiter Martin who we always have good banter with and he looked after us excellently.sevice was excellent and the food very good
S. P.
The staff was extremly friendly - we had the feeling that they really love their job :-) the restaurant was very cozy and the food delicious. Nothing more to say :-)
E. M.
Like the tardis! Trocadero has such lovely warm nooks and crannies, steaks were delicious and Robert was most interesting regaling us with stories of the actors on the walls. More than a restaurant Trocadero is an experience!
E. H.
My favourite place, top class food & staff. If I could give it 10 stars I would! 😁
C. N.
Superb food, good wine selection, excellent waiters and Art Deco style interior makes this a place to remember. A bit pricey maybe, but the service and quality of the food makes up for it.
J. G.
Good atmosphere, excellent service, the food was superb, accommodating to all dietary requirements,

Excellent Food. Lovely friendly staff.Always an enjoyable night in this atmospheric restaurant.

Groovy restaurant near Grafton Street. Theatrical tie ins abound. Spot the stars on the walls. Superb attentive service and smiles all round. And if it's good enough for Hans Gruber and Professor Snape, it's good enough for a law abiding Muggle like me.
M. B.
Excellent restaurant . Came recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint . We had the pre-theatre menu €27 , starter main and dessert all very tasty and very nicely presented . We will be back .
N. S.
You can only ever rate this establishment as 5 stars. If you get a chance go for the early bird pre theater deal. An absolute must for any one visiting Dublin city.
