Great to have such a fantastic restaurant in Co. Louth. The food is amazing and really enjoyed the open kitchen. Felt like I was watching MasterChef on the telly and getting to eat what was made. Local ingredients used and tastes really pop in your mouth. Can't wait to go back again.

Had another fantastic meal in the Square Restaurant last night, we were booked for 7.15 so weren't expecting it to be too busy but it was full & the place was buzzing. We had a beautifully presented meal & the service was very attentive & friendly, owner Conor spoke with us before we left to check all was in order, which l always like to see as it shows a professional touch, l just love going there as you are always guaranteed a lovely evening with georgous food. Truly the best meal in Dundalk at great prices be sure and book a table can be done on line or by phone. Car parking is a couple minutes walk away. Early bird menu available check on their web page. Staff very friendly and checked or knew the menu items to explain them in detail.

Had dinner there few days after it was opened. Nice place, bit pricey but tasty food. Manager (or the owner, dont know) welcomed us and offered drinks; still or tap water, to which me and my partner both agreed on tap, with giggles. All good until we got the bill and saw that they have charged us extra 5€ for the water. We asked politely if there could be a mistake to which the lady said there was no mistake made, we said bottled water and if next time anything like that happenes, we should point it out immediately-like it is guests job to question their every order and the 'packeging' of restaurants drinks. In my opinion, she should have dealt better with the whole thing, so their tip for the night was that 5€ water bottle.

I had eaten in the sister restaurant “ Courthouses “ in Carrickmacross which was excellent.... and looking forward to trying the “Square” .... with my friends.... The food did not disappoint...... Very flavoursome and arty plated.... I found the menu a bit limited and a bit on the expensive side as the portions were very small.... I ate all three courses which I would never do... including the Nibbles pre starter.... The staff were very friendly and informative on the menu .... My biggest “put off” was the size of the restaurant.... It’s tiny... and your very close to every table.... The noise level reached a very high very quickly..... There is only ONE toilet for both male and females which you have to back in and out.... ( tiny also ) The heat was overwhelming..... I noticed the table beside us fanning them selves.... trying to create some air..... I absolutely loved the food but think a bigger / air condition premises with comfortable loo’s a must....
