We had a meal here on Monday. The food was so nice. I had the mussels for starter which were gorgeous. Had the Hake for Main and it also was gorgeous. My daughter had the Wings for starter and the Pasta for main which she said were gorgeous too. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Would highly recommend

My family and I had my birthday meal yesterday in Brogans and all I can say from the minute Ellen greeted us at the door the whole evening was amazing. Sat for a family meal just last night, staff where really friendly not one item we asked for seemed to put anyone out bearing in mind I have a young family. Was hungry for some real Irish comfort food. We ordered the Guinness Irish Stew and Shepherd's Pie. The servings were large and they were absolutely delicious! Even if couldn't finish my pie, I had to try the Eaton Mes for dessert and that too was really decadent! Listening to live traditional Irish music topped off the wonderful dining experience!

Oh man! The food here is so tasty. We tried 3 starters. Mussels, chicken wings and seafood chowder. All of them extremely tasty and not that expensive there. Highly recommended!

The food quality was perfect. But the service was beyond brilliant. A customer behind us was there for a while and the sun move into their eyes. The staff were aware of the comfort of their customers and asked them if they wanted to move to a shaded table before they even asked. There were multiple examples of this. Absolutely outstanding.

A lovely place to have the finest feed I've had in a long time. Great portions and promptly seated and served. A good and varied menu with very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and courteous and on the ball. We were here on Sunday and decided to come again on Monday. Couldn't fault the meals on both days. Ya gotta LOVE Brogan's 😎Right in the heart of main street Ennis, it is a gem that I've frequented since I was 18! They have always had the friendliest staff and the best atmosphere in town. A bar and restaurant with the coolest decor, including their new outdoor dining area complete with an umbrella canopy and fairy lights ☔ Food is fantastic, so tasty and great value and they also have an excellent cocktail menu🍹It's always a YES from me ❤️

What a great place....every time i visit ennis i head to this great place to eat. Daily change on the special menu. Firstly the food is top top top every meal i have had had been absolutely delicious...love the prawns and 2day had the best cottage pie i have ever tasted in my whole life. Secondly the staff go out of their way to make you welcome they all have great skills a d provide servise with a smile ...so thanks to all the staff... I would like to give my complements to the chief/cheifs fantastic food guys o e of the bezt places to eat on Ireland. Best lunch I had in Ireland! Unfortunately the Shepherd's Pie wasn't available anymore when we went there, but the Irish Stew and the Roast Rib were very delicious. The price is reasonable and the portions were very generous. Cozy atmosphere near the fireplace, highly recommended!

Brogan's came highly recommended by the lady at my hotel. Fabulous Irish food and Irish beers, whiskey, and so much more. Nothing to disappoint. On the lunch menu the bacon and cabbage are among the top ordered item. We enjoyed beers on tap, Shepard's pie, the mussels appetizer, and a sexy cocktail.

Very good experience at this restaurant! First of all - the place looks amazing for my taste! The menu is diverse and with good prices. The food is definitely worth the price especially when you get the food and see the great size portions! I came here with my mother and father and we ordered BBQ ribs, a dish with chicken and black pudding filling; and salmon with grilled asparagus and poached eggs. Overall - amazing food and would definitely recommend for a dinner to anyone who is visiting the place. Thanks to @Jacob in the previous comment - I also ordered espresso martini for my mother and it was perfect 👌😉

Had a table booked for 6.30 this evening with my daughter. After working all day it was fantastic to enter a beautiful clean, cosy and welcoming restaurant, the Christmas lights set a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We both decided to have the turkey and ham with all the trimmings and boy were we delighted!! The food was unreal!! My daughter had the sticky toffee pudding and was so delighted with it, I was stuffed from the turkey and ham and wished I was able to have the pudding also. Hats off to the staff working there, they were prompt, lovely and very courteous and best of all they made us feel safe and protected with all the proper precautions in place, as we were two barbers wrecked from back to back appointments all day cutting, sanitizing and wearing masks, we were delighted to relax, with happy bellies and a lovely atmosphere! Well done Brogans!!

Check your notions at the door. This place is just fantastic. It's a friendly, comfortable atmosphere made so by the great staff and excellent food. What we liked a lot about this place is also the ability to have a conversation. Most places try to create atmosphere by blasting music but all they do it drown it, this place tilts the perfect balance of background noise so it doesn't feel empty but quiet enough so nobody is shouting. I am coming back here every time I am in Ennis. 5 stars!

I was hoping to try some traditional Irish food so we stopped here for lunch. It was a great choice. The shepherd's pie was delicious and so was the soda bread. My wife got a side of fish chowder. It wasn't great. It tasted like melted butter. The pub had the great traditional feel as well.

The food was excellent. The service, not so Much. For the first time in my two years in Ireland, I waited for a pint. I mean, sometimes pubs have one in your hand before you get your jacket off. But not here. I waited, I waited, and after about 15 minutes, they came and took our order, which includes a request for one beer that they didn't have, a brand of gin that they didn't have, and finally a Guinness which they did have. I then waited another 5 minutes for the beer to arrive. It took so long that my wings appetizer arrived BEFORE the beer. I was literally staring at my wings beerless. In IRELAND. Thankfully, the wings were great, the burger fantastic and the dessert big enough to share. 5 star food, 1 star service.

Here are some helpful things to know, and some suggestions: - the "sharing board" on the appetizer is worth every penny! The ribs and wings are very well done, and you get a lot for the money! - I am a Guinness man, but DO order the "espresso martini" for the lady and steal a sip... you will be impressed while maintaining your manhood! - If you want to be able to enjoy the local musicians playing traditional Irish folk music every night, here is a tip: do go early, about 6:30pm, and find a seat in the first 2 sections up front (before the bar area)... order dinner, eat casually, then order drinks and keep sipping until the musicians show up. Otherwise, if you come later, it is likely you won't get anywhere close enough to enjoy them. It is worth coming early! Any table you see "reserved" on, is the tables set aside for the musicians ;-) The atmosphere is warm, and outstanding. The bathrooms are top notch. The place is massive. The staff are super friendly and on the ball. The food is great and in good size portions and reasonably priced! Do try the Irish Stew! Heck, everything I ever ordered was great! If you do go, ask for the owner "Derek" and tell him Jacob from Texas sent you ;-) He will treat you good! I hung out with him several times, in multiple cities. A fast talking Irish man you have to pay close attention to in order to understand, but a great and pleasant guy!

Three of us walked into Brogan's for dinner on a Tuesday around 7:30pm and were greeted with traditional Irish music in the main dining room. We had a drink at the bar before being seated toward the rear, which was away from the music though it's amplified via speakers throughout. We sat at a large high booth and shared the appetizer sampler for two which included the best barbecue sauce I've ever had in my life (and I'm from the US). I had the smothered chicken for my entree and loved it, also trying my friend's burger which was pretty good, too. All in all, I'd return as the service is beyond friendly, the beer selection is great and it was a great experience. Try the Brogan's Ale, it's delicious!

First and foremost the staff are very professional and do their job in a very friendly way. Menu is small but an excellent variety, ingredients are sourced locally where possible and cooked to perfection (I would highly recommend the steak). Most nights they have Traditional Irish Music, in fact one of Irelands best known modern traditional bands (Stockton's Wing) made it debut in Brogans. They do get very busy in the evening, so you may have to wait a few minutes for a table but it is worth it. (No, I dont work there nor do I know the Owners)

Food is good. A couple of faults that need rectifying. Food was not served hot or at correct temperature. Soup was served cold and when changed was still not hot enough. Mains swimming in gravy and presentation was messy. Serving joint on a bed of Mash is not good. Potato, veg and sauce is best served on the side. Chef is very fond of water cress. Don't assume your clientele is too. With a few tweeks 5 stars would be earned no prob.

Stayed a night in ennis before flying home and stumbled into this absolute gem, everything you want in a good Irish pub. Lots of great tap beer good service and food was excellent loved the fish and chips, mussels were fantastic, smothered chicken was great. Also traditional live Irish music playing at both ends of the pub .
