Decor tacky, menu pricey, food moderate. We ordered dishes of the day. Lamb starter was a good idea but bland, needed seasoning and garlic. Turbot looked more like halibut and was overcooked. Vegetables were basic (boiled potatoes, carrots and roast cauliflower) really uninteresting. The wine list was not over-priced at the lower end. The Portuguese red from Symington was worth remembering. Service was excellent and staff very friendly but overall it was a disappointing evening.

Had a family[8] meal there recently. The food was fine dining standard, beautifully presented by very professional staff who were very courteous and friendly. The menu was good value for exceptional food and ambiance. I would highly recommend it especially for celebratory occasions.

Dinner was very nice and steak cooked perfectly but the vegetables and potatoes were charged extra which I thought was unnecessary so in fact we were charged €30 each just for the meat on the plate. Very overpriced and I would not recommend. In comparison there are lovely pub/restaurants in Lahinch where you get a lovely dinner for much less than VL restaurant

This is one of the best food restaurants in the west of Ireland With top class service . and wonderful food and a very relaxing and cosy front bar. Top marks to owners. And staff All the best for 2019 season C .and m.g.
