D. G.We visited mchughs for Sunday lunch recently after been advised it was the place to go for food. Firstly I booked on their website a few days previous but to my surprise I never received a confirmed email or anything with the reservation. The morning of the booking I cud not remember the time we had booked for so tried to ring the restaurant but no answer for aporox an hour of trying. When arrived at mchughs the waitress had given us a booth so thst was perfect as we had 3 young kids. We ordered the kids meals & asked if they cud b brought out as soon as cooked. After about 20 mins of waiting for them they finally came out, nothing special ordered just gougons & chips for them. It was a further 10 mins when we got ours.
My wife had ordered the steak (well done) & no cucumber in the salad. Very straight forward order usually. But when arrived it looked like the steak had just been put on the pan for 2 mins, very pink barely cooked and yes also cucumber in the salad. My wife returned it & received it back couple mins later not much better cooked.
I had ordered the steak sambo, which I got but was really fatty & extremely chewy. To be honest it was not what we were expecting especially because the restaurant didn't seem to b that busy. I don't know was their staff shortage in the kitchen area, but wasn't very experience we thought it was goin to be
M. N.Had a very nice meal here this evening among family. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. We dined outside in the annex and had a relaxing time. Our waiter was most helpful with our tricky order.

Very welcoming staff, lovely turf fire burning that is my favourite place to sit. Efficient service and good food. The portions are generous especially the desserts. Very rarely can finish a dessert and usually share it with someone.

I had the burger with cheese and it's one of the nicest burgers I've ever tasted. I'll be getting takeaway from here again later in the week without doubt. S. K.Stopped off for breakfast here recently. 9.10 on the morning and were asked if e had a booking. We d did not but were given a table. Two of us are big lads (6 foot plus) ordered two maxi breakfasts and my good food not have to eat again for the entire day. Super super food. Great service and great controls on place during these strange times. Can't wait to go back again

We arrived on the off chance of food with a 7mth old hungry baby. Babies food was brought promptly which allowed me time to feed her before my lunch arrived, meaning that I actually got lunch whilst still hot which is very rare these days. Better still the food was beautiful.
Hand gels are located on each table and at the entrance of the restaurant. All staff were masked, and patrons are asked to only remove masks whilst they are seated at their table.
I would highly recommend this establishment and plan to make it my restaurant of choice whenever I am in Galway

B. C.Lockdown part 2 & myself and my wife wanted a meal. Most places were closed but we seen on Facebook McHugh's was open with a decent menu lots to choose from. We got a lovely takeaway meal with starters & mains for us both. Food was 5 stars great servings, we were stuffed after it. Price was very reasonable & fair for the food we weren't disappointed. Would definitely use it again.

J. O.Stopped today for lunch. Whilst we booked in advance we were still very apprehensive about eating out but on arrival and throughout our meal all protocols were adhered to without impacting on what was an excellent meal. We felt safe and secure from the get go. On exiting we realised that mchughs has so much space for diners that they could accommodate much larger numbers in safety. Very well done to the staff and management. We will be back

I always recommend this place to my work colleagues and anyone looking for great food, decent sized portions and reasonably priced. We went there tonight for dinner for the first time this evening and had the same wonderful experience again.

p. m.I went in for food a few weeks ago in the evening. I found the menu a bit more expensive than other eateries in the area. I thought it might be because the food might be a bit more upmarket than the other eateries, but it was no better, it was regular bar food nice decor staff are OK although not overly helpful if you deviate from the menu

C. 8.We went there because of the recommendation of the lady of the Craig Villa and we definately didn´t regret it! It´s a really great place with delicous food and a nice modern-rustic ambiente. If you like to mix in with the locals, this is a place you should go to. It is not very touristy, nevertheless the staff and the customers are really nice, helpful and interested. To eat, I would highly recommend the seafood!
