This is a beautiful restaurant tucked away off the side of the road. The food is second to none - everything we ordered was really delicious. The staff were very friendly and the waiting time was really short for our food. I highly recommend the chowder and fish and chips. It's famous for their oysters but I'm not a fan of oysters. I'm definitely coming back.

What a lovely resturant! 😊 Service was excellent! Our covid certs were checked and we were well spaced from other people in the resturant! Our food came out very quickly and the servers were very accommodating and attentive! We had oysters, goats cheese salad and both had fish and chips for the mains which was all very tasty! It was my partners birthday so they put a candle on our dessert aswell which was a lovely touch! All and all it was a lovely evening and we will definitely be back 😍

Warm and welcoming, what a great place for a fantastic lunch.Went all-in with all things mollusk with orders of Gigas oysters, wild Irish clams in a buttery garlic wine broth, and mussels. Heaven! Try the seafood chowder and don't miss out on the famous brown bread. Slightly sweet, nutty and hearty...I will think of it often. If you are in the area, this place is a must visit.

One of our favourite places to have a meal while visiting Ireland. The oysters are simply the best we have ever had. Always a warm welcome at Moran's. The perfect place for a tasty meal and a perfect pint.

I was impressed. Far from main road but it was so many people. I was lucky that the nice man, I think manager found me a table for a quick meal. I ordered grilled gigas oysters and fish and chips. All was served quick, fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

An incredible must-do for anyone and everyone passing through the area. Staff were friendly, food was exquisite and waiting time for drinks and each course was perfect. If I could give them 6/5 stars I would. Not badly priced for the gourmet meals you receive. And if you ask nicely they may even show you how to shuck the oysters. Chatting to Dave about the oysters was a highlight!

Very good seafood restaurant! Went with a recommendation and it's a fair bit out. But totally worth it. Great seafood and top service! I liked the building too.

One of the few places I know where you can eat outside (under a tent and beach umbrellas) having a good context around because the view of the river aside is beautiful. When it will possible to return to eat inside, the context isn't less beautiful, the most cared traditional pub I saw with both large spaces and small alcoves.
This is the first time I visited the place and I enjoyed everything. I ordered the chowder, less creamy (less milk and flour?) than in other places but very, very tasteful. The main was steamed mussels, sumptuous. But the surprises were the desserts: the chocolate cake was balanced, not too sweet, not too fat and heavy. Same feeling of equilibrium for the meringue I tasted. Usually I think who knows to prepare enjoyable dessert, knows to cook everything properly and this place confirm my theory. ~30 euro per person included one pint, very honest price. This place is on my list now and worth visit again... Soon. I suggest to reserve the table, it's a popular spot.

Really enjoyed our lunch at Morans on the Weir. Th only downside was the heat on saturday July 17th... it was so hot that the covered in terrace became a bit of a greenhouse so we couldn't stay long.
However the service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. I had a fish and chips and my wife had the ham salad. Both were generous without being too much and the quality was good! I would definitely come back to explore some of the more elaborate menu items

Amazing food, amazing service and a lovely ambience.. just by the river, so you can get a great view if you choose to sit outside. A little off-route, so technically inaccessible without a car.
