Wonderful experience at the Ruibin. All the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was INCREDIBLE. Dennis’s cocktail menu is so creative and the drinks were so good! Great atmosphere and location - right on the docks in Galway. We’ve gone back multiple times during our trip for coffees, snacks, and cocktails since our incredible dinner experience. Can’t wait to come back for another visit and go to the Ruibin again.

After checking our Covid Q pass, Richard seated us beside an open upstairs window overlooking the marina. The weather was glorious which added to the summery ambiance ! The restaurant was airy and inviting. We were very well looked after by our 2 servers , Ophelia and Alissa. Both girls were very attentive and charming. You could feel there was a good rapport amongst the staff and kitchen . The lunch menu was brief. A handful choice of starters, mains and desserts....all absolutely tempting and with a slightly unusual twist... We had the seafood chowder which was amazing. Full of fresh white fish and chunky salmon , creamy with a pinch of fresh herbs. Not a hint of smoked fish ! Thank God !!!! My husband had fresh Hake with a western Lebanese salad twist and I had the exquisite warm carrot salad. A melody of tastes! I treated myself to A Margarita cocktail! It was FABULOUS... I would put it as the best one I ever tasted. I have tried a few 😁😅 The tequila, Cointreau, grapefruit, red Chile pepper and lime juice 👌. My husband had an equally excellent Brandy Alexander. The food was fresh, plentiful and lovingly prepared by Alice. Well done Alice. 👍 From service, gourmet food, location and experience 😋 I rate Ruibin on the docks 5 stars. I will not be surprised if this place gets a Michelin star over the next few years.

By far my favourite place to eat in Galway. The food is the best in town and the staff will do everything that they can to make your night special. For any special occasion or even a chill night with a few tapas/wine it’s the place you want to be. I went over two nights, I just had to go back the second night it was too good! My favourites on the menu were the Osyters, the cod on toast, the Korean honey butter sauce chicken and the potatoes are a must add to your evening! Make sure to ask the best mixologist in town Dennis about his cocktails drinks menu!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! We were greeted by Richard, the owner, who remembered I had emailed him a few weeks ago to inquire about food for my picky 7 year-old daughter (they had breaded chicken for her, which was exactly what she wanted). From the cocktails to the appetizer to the entrees to the desserts- everything was spectacular. The view from our upstairs table overlooking the river was wonderful. All of this was made even better by the excellent and very welcoming service. Our server (whose name currently eludes me, but she is from Colorado) was great, offered excellent advice and was very friendly. While we live far away, we'd love to come back some day. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive because the effort they put into everything makes this an experience to remember!

Good location, cost interior and friendly staff. Unfortunately I found a used napkin on my chair as I pulled it out to sit which tarnished my initial impression. I ordered the brill which was a little overdone but the other components of the dish were well done. The wine selection was adequate but I would've liked more interaction with the staff on any recommendations. I expected more from this restaurant.

My wife and I were on 3 week trip to Ireland and ate at many terrific restaurants in Shannon, Cork City, and Galway. Ruibin was by far the best. Best atmosphere, best service (Orphelia and Aislinn), best food (sole and gnocchi), best desserts, best background music, and best wine and gin list of any place we had dinner. In an old stone building and very romantic. Not easy to get a reservation here but so worth it.

Sensational food, beautifully presented without pretension and competitively priced. Generous portions. The only difficulty is deciding what to order but be assured, there are no bad choices.

I ate dinner and lunch with different groups at Rúibin last week. Both experiences were exceptionally good. Rúibin has a varied and interesting menu, (pig's cheek fritters are not seen everywhere) with both vegetarian and vegan choices They have a strong wine list with several wines that are very much not run-of-the-mill and the pricing is appropriate. Service is efficient without being intrusive and the atmosphere is genial and devoid of pretension. Excellent restaurant and a notable addition to the city's, already good, dining scene.

The best spot in Galway for great food and a few drinks - we were so well looked after for a friends 30th last year, amazing food and drink and wonderful service. They are doing takeaway lunches during the current restrictions which are delicious (bagels, rice bowls, salad bowls, that kind of thing) and stock lots of lovely ingredients and nice bottles of wine. Extremely knowledgable on wines, they are always willing to spend time explaining a few bottles to you and helping pick one out - top class!

Dined there last night for the first time. Sat downstairs. Very very impressed. The decor is very nicely done. A couple of fires lit gave the place a lovely warm and welcoming feeling. Can't recommend this place enough. Steak was absolutely amazing and as a big steak person I don't say that lightly. The atmosphere is fantastic and staff couldn't be friendlier. If I could give more I would. We recently got takeaway food here and it was the best takeaway restaurant food that I have had to date . I am really looking forward to when this amazing gem of a place can reopen their doors. Alice, Richard snd Ruby and all their staff are so friendly and welcoming. We can not say enough about Ruibin! Richard, Alice, and Ruby recently catered a small wedding for our son and daughter-in-law. The hors d'oeuvres provided us with an indication of the perfection to come; Flaggy Shore Oysters with Yuzu & Chili, Crostini with Artichoke & Wild Mushrooms, and Bresaola with Horseradish and Parm. And then dinner: absolutely every course was exquisite. The appetiser was a Shiitake & Cabbage Dumpling, nestled in a Smoked Tomato Broth. The main: a Beef Fillet with Wild Mushrooms and Braised Shallots, cooked perfectly with a lovely Red Wine Jus, fell apart in your mouth. All the sides were included: potatoes served two ways, asparagus and broccolini. This was followed by a perfectly portioned selection of cheeses. The Warm Fig and Pistachio Tart was beautifully presented with Mascarpone Cheese which superbly balanced the sweetness of the tart. Richard encouraged us to take our time which allowed us to savour each course and enjoy the evening. Alice and Ruby worked diligently to ensure that courses were timed so that each plate arrived freshly prepared. And as if all of this was not enough, late night snacks arrived - Hand Cut Chips, Nachos with Fermented Chilli Salsa and Guacamole and finally, Korean Fried Chicken with Honey Butter Sauce. We all agree that Ruibin set the bar high; a world class restaurant that would easily rival those found in larger cities. We look forward to being able to visit this restaurant on a regular basis when times allow. Until then, thank you Richard, Alice and Ruby for making this a celebration to remember!

Alice, Richard, and Ruby recently catered a small COVID-friendly wedding us and we could not have been happier with the quality of food and the high level of service. Over the entire day we enjoyed fabulous food: bacon sandwiches and smoked salmon with dill on brown bread for lunch, three canapés before dinner - oysters, artichoke and mushroom crostini, and besaola with horseradish and reggiano. Dinner included a four-course contemporary Irish menu that was perfectly timed and perfectly portioned. Throughout the day and evening, we never felt rushed and Richard provided highly attentive service. We look forward to a meal in Rúibín to celebrate our one year anniversary.

Finally got a chance to eat here last night. Did not disappoint! 2 of us shared 3 of their new 'Bar Snacks' menu and it was delicious. The cold Guinness and a warm fire made a perfect dinner on a cold Novembers night. The food is simply divine, a little edgy without being pretentious. The attentiveness of the staff is miles ahead of the standard - Very helpful without being 'in your face'. You can tell from their attitude that they love what they do and they're like a family almost... this plays a huge part in the relaxing atmosphere you'll notice once you open the door. The icing on the cake; The toilets are SPOTLESS. I always judge an establishment based on the cleanliness of their bathrooms. It was like walking into a hotel - GOOD JOB!! Here's hoping the place is here for the long run, i'll be making many an appearance in future. Today

Staff member that looked after us was very friendly. We were there for a quick snack and both of us had a very warm and tasty bowl of chowder. Ruibin is on the docks in Galway &well worth a visit.

The danger of too many great reviews is a selfish one, an experience may lose its appeal to the local patron. I’ll risk it though. The food is very good, I’ve tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. The service is unreal, went in for a drink the other night and the fire was light beside us as we were being served. Ruibin looks amazing, beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views. The food there is amazing, I had the dumplings in Ragu on the bar menu downstairs and it was great. Will definitely come back to eat in the main restaurant upstairs. The cocktails are really good, quite unique and very tasty.

I've recently moved to Galway from London and I know this sounds massively ignorant but I really didn't know if there would be great places to eat. I can safely say that in one felll swoop Ruibin blew this concern out the water! We went for dinner with friends of ours and from start to finish we had such a great night. From brilliant cocktails and friendly service to some of the best dishes I've eaten in a long time. Packed with flavour and stunning local produce delivered with a delicate touch and zero pretentiousness. Our friends told us its not long open so it was still building a name for itself but it won't be long before you'll have to book weeks in advance. Watch this space, its a gem.

We stopped in here for a drink whilst waiting for a show to start during the Galway arts festival and the staff were so friendly and relaxed despite it being busy. We popped back after the show for some of the bar food and it was absolutely delicious and the nicest dry rosè we have found in Galway. We had the baked Brie, the duck croquettes and the pulled beef and they were incredibly delicious! The service was fabulous and we were surprised to learn they had only been open two weeks! We just wish we were in Galway a little longer to be able to experience the opening of the restaurant on the second floor! Highly highly recommend Ruibins!!
