Lovely sushi bar in the heart of Galway, just down the street from Eyre square. Beautiful decor and peaceful atmosphere. Great spot for a date or just treating yourself to some delicious sushi. Very clean, friendly, and attentive staff! So nice I came back twice in my short stay in Galway. Definitely be back!

Miso soup was fantastic, so favoursome. The Prawn Tempura is also worthy of recommendation, I would describe it as heavenly. Sushi was handmade and made to order. The sushi was tasty and no fish smell, so you know it is so fresh. Everything was easy and you can end up over eating, but it I highly recommend it. If you are not sure what to order, I recommend googling, but most people when they think of sushi ... Think Maki.

I had such a great time here, I had never been here before and was happy with my first time experience. The staff were so friendly and the food ordered arrived so quickly. I got the vegetarian sushi and it was so good!! Also, my friend and I shared a matcha ice cream dessert which was amazing

Good selection of food, tasty and reasonably priced. A few tasty Japanese beers to choose from. My partner had the sushi which is always delicious, the Gyoza are also very tasty. I had a BBQ Eel Don which was a little sweet for my liking but may be personal preference. Would definitely go again.

For Ireland standard, this is a decent sushi place. In general, the maki size per piece was too big for one bite. Every piece was a two-bite size, which is bad. The salmon roe was discussing!! It tasted like fresh sea water! The BBQ eel nigiri and rainbow maki were nice. The restaurant was beautifully arranged and designed though, but it is too big a place for Galway. We went for a Friday dinner, and the place was practically empty.

Lovely place! The food is great and the staff is extremely nice. We tried the Chef's special sushi which came on a gorgeous little wooden bridge. The food itself was prepared professionally, both the sushi and other dishes we tried. We also tasted the sake but since this was the first time we tried it we don't have anything to compare it with, but it was very nice though. :)

Really good sushi! Lovely atmosphere and views. Good choice of seating - western tables, benches and low tables. The conveyor belt is the feature, but it's really only part of the variety here. Lots of menu selections too, great for sharing or individual. Option to take away food. Hot and cold food, drinks and alcohol, and there's a desert menu but I haven't even wanted to look at that yet!

Great location and nicely kitted out, this is a welcome addition to Galway's budding sushi scene. Stopped in for a light lunch and started with green tea and miso soup, both of which were excellent. The soup had plenty of nori and tofu and a delicious sweet and savoury flavour. I selected 3 plates off the conveyor and was happy that tuna sashimi was available for €6 and was a good portion. I also selected a tempura prawn and salmon and avocado maki. Both were well executed and were very tasty. I'll certainly be back and love the convenience of Galway's first conveyor belt sushi for a quick lunch.

Sushi is amazing, very fresh and tasty. The decor in the restaurant is also really nice and bright. Staff are also very friendly. My only issue would be pricing during the day time. I would prefer some lunchtime offers as your paying about 20 to 25 per person which is a lot for a lot of the public who may like to try sushi but would deter them from trying. Overall you should definitely try it the food and atmosphere.

One of my favorite restaurants in the whole wide world. Tea was served in beautiful teapot and cup. Ordered the salmon roe, the special pumpkin korokke and for dessert the matcha ice cream. My Japanese neighbors sometimes has his parents come over from Japan. Always tell me this place is amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves sushi to visit this place.

I ordered the chef's platter for 35€ and was expecting something special for that price. I was disappointed that it was very ordinary and had one of my least favourite additions to the Western version of sushi: smoked salmon and cream cheese! If I'd known it would be so ordinary I would have ordered separate items from the menu. The restaurant and service was very nice.

Very nice, make sure you check out the specials board and the cocktail menu. The bento box is a great starting point if you're a sushi beginner (generally a curry of some sort with a small taster of sushi on the side). The sushi is regularly refreshed and they're happy to answer any questions you may have

We came in around 8pm on a Friday night and thankfully there were a couple tables open. Prices were a little high but everything was delicious... When they finally came out. There was one sushi chef there and one sous chef, who were working very hard to work on all the orders. This meant that we waited forever for our food.... Everyone did. The servers thanked us profusely for waiting, but it was hard as we were starving. Not sure why there weren't more chefs on a Friday night, but we actually left hungry because everything took so long and wasn't filling enough as it was. The food itself was delicious, though. Chicken gyoza was soooo yummy very flavorful. Six small-medium sized ones came in an order. More than a couple orders would be needed if you were hungry, however. The salmon platter was also delicious but rather small. Should've just ordered a bunch of nigiri instead. The conveyor belt only had one or two things on it the entire time- understandable, since they were understaffed, but it didn't help the hungry. I don't know. Overall, I'd love to go back since everything was so fresh and tasty, and the waitresses were so kind and eager to give us a good experience. We took it all in stride, really, but it just wasn't a great experience.

Tomodachi is likely the best sushi restraunt in Galway. They have a decent sized menu with some specials (Generally a Bento) They have small dishes available on the conveyor belt also. Though I do think it can be expensive. Particularly their Veg dishes are not much cheaper than meat. I.E. the vegetarian Bento box is the same price as the meat

They took our photo with Kodak/Fujifilm instant camera and put it up with the collection on the wall ♥️ They do the cool sushi plates on the rotating track thing as well. My top tip is get a plate of edamame as a side and get some sencha Japanese style green tea with whatever you're getting!

By far the best Japanese restaurant in Galway (even if Wa Café is good and authentically Japanese). But here the sushi is at the best. To find something similar I had to fly to Sausalito - * Michelin - at Sushi Ran or in San Mateo CA at Sam's Edomata. I really hope this restaurant has success because I made the commitment to visit it each month. The Rainbow Sushi is my favorite dish here.

Lovely restaurant, friendly staff. I didn't have any sushi but had dumplings which were amazing. They have Polaroid photos all over the place. Definitely different and a welcome change to the typical restaurants in Galway.
