There is a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere here. I ordered the prawn and chicken pad thai – it was very good. The noodles weren’t overcooked, the chicken was tender and the prawns were sweet and savoury. However, the pad thai could do with a bit more tamarind or more chili flakes but that’s just personal preference. The free ice cream at the end pushed Luna to a five star rating for me. It was so creamy and delicious!

Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Extensive menu including vegan options. Particular mention for the staff who were extremely friendly, polite and efficient. The only downside was I was too full to take up the offer of complimentary ice cream!!! Convenient parking to the rear of the restaurant if you happen to be driving.

This is by FAR the best Asian restaurant in Kilkenny, if not Ireland! No doubt! Delicious, fresh and quality food at a great price as well as quantity. The deep fried prawn starter is incredible, so crunchy and tasty. I’ve ordered and been in the restaurant a few times this past couple days and I’ve tried different plates, they are all better than the other. Well done!!! Side noodles are my favorite too, I love them thin!

Beautiful food and you get your moneys worth. The food was very fresh and filling. Service was friendly and did not hover. I had wontons and the chicken satay with fried rice, and he had gyoza and roast duck and a side of chips, they were both stunning. We will be returning gladly 🤗

Bit disappointed having food here. The Meat wasnt freshly cooked and tasted and smelled a bit funky without going to hard about the raw vegetables or lack of its a 3 star restaurant at best. I will revisit this restaurant once more and review it again for now its not good

Always fabulous and the Duck in Plum sauce is incredible! I am Gluten free and the range of options is fantastic! The staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Great quality, fresh, freshly made and tasty food, efficient service and the place is spotless. Have had both takeaway and sit in in the past few weeks and both were excellent. Large range of vegan and veggie food, the Thai sweet and sour was a million miles away from the orange stuff in a jar going by that name, Lana's was made from scratch and had a good variety of vegetables. Well spaced tables, covid checks and sanitise etc all well done. Didn't see any sign of 'take away service' in the sit down restaurant, as mentioned in one review. Very good portions and value too!

12/09/21 3 stars are solely for the food and the kitchen staff. The food was delicious. The service was not good. Our waitress was blunt, and the manager (lady in the blue bottoms taking payment) was unnecessarily rude. I asked if we could split the bill and she said “no, EVERYONE knows we don’t do that here due to covid”. We are not from Kilkenny and so we did not know. It was not stated and we had a lovely time up to that point, she was so rude. Lots of places allow bill splitting at the moment, pandemic or not. The ice cream was apparently complimentary but we were just asked “do you want ice cream”.

Myself and my two children stopped by Lana earlier shortly after 6pm. We didn't have reservations. We were fortunate they weren't too busy at this time. I was previously turned away as they were fully booked which is a good sign for a restaurant. I ordered the Special Fried Rice dish after being amused by the amount of spelling mistakes on the menu. With 14 different locations around Ireland surely they have someone in head office that can proof read before the menu goes to print. As it was relatively quiet, I was surprised that 25 minutes after placing our order we still hadn't received our food. I got the attention of one of the waiters as he was passing and made him aware. It turned out that our order hadn't made it into the kitchen as the waitress who took our order forgot. He was very apologetic and assured us that it was on its way. I would have appreciated an apology from the waitress who took the order but she was obviously embarrassed. Anyway once we got the food, it proved to be delicious and nothing was left on the plate. We all got the complimentary ice cream which was also delicious and had fun pulling the ice cream ourselves. Would I go back...? I probably will as the food was tasty, and I'm hoping this was a simple mistake. Naturally I didn't leave a tip on this occasion.

Just payed a visit to Lana. Decor was nice and had a nice relaxed experience. Found the staff very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and very generous portion sizes. The ribs for the starter were some of the best , I have ever had. The sauce was beautiful and the meat just fell from the bone. The bill was very reasonable for two people who had a full 3 course meal and for these reasons, we will definitely be paying another visit.

First time having a take out from Lana and was definitely the nicest I've had in a long time in kilkenny, we had the bbq ribs, thai garlic & chilli duck and crispy sweet & chilli chicken, we look forward to going back and maybe eating in whenever that may be, great value too, thank you...👌👌👌

The place had just opened and we were hoping for a better restaurant experience than the previous occupants (FishFace). Result? Chaos with the ordering and serving of the food. The food itself was great though and good value. Wrong food came out to our table and they couldn't find who else had ordered. Somehow the staff hadn't allocated the right meals to the right tables. Staff were friendly, apologetic, food eventually arrived. Things can only get better and we'll be going back for another try.

Spent my birthday dinner in Lana and all I can say is wow! Thank you so much for the amazing food, excellent service, friendly staff and most of all going above and beyond to help me celebrate! I was absolutely blown away by the incredible dessert, even calling it a dessert is an understatement, it was a work of art and absolutely delicious! Please pass my thanks on to the chef. We will definitely be back!

Interesting reading the poor reviews on here because we really found the place to be excellent. They have clearly sorted out there teething problems since opening as they were very organised and efficient even though it was a busy night. We had two young children with us and the manager of the restaurant offered to mind our youngest (9 months) so my wife could eat her meal as he was evening fussy! The food was delicious, I would put it on par with Aroi which we would consider the best in Kilkenny for Asian food. I will definitely be back.

Food? Excellent. Prices? Reasonable. Ice cream? Free. Hotel? Trivago. Also the review that gives out about a €2 supplement for brown rice is a lie, it’s €1. Place was packed to the walls but we were served very quickly. Couldn’t recommend it more for a good tasting, filling, and high quality Asian dinner.

We've had take away every Friday since it opened about a month ago. Been happy with every dish we've had and service has been quick. Great to have a restaurant and take away at this side of town to avoid town traffic.

My brother and I visited LANA Kilkenny for the first time last Friday and we will definitely be back again soon!! Food was good-- I had the crispy chili chicken which was very crispy and my brother tried the pad prik-- but I have to say all the staff, especially our waitress Louise, really looked after us from start to finish. She was a local girl, Kilkenny born and bred, and made some great recommendations for some places we should make time to see during our stay.

I went to lana for a meal and I got the veggie noodles they were fab and the price's are reasonably cheap and then the best part of all is we got to pull our own ice cream after the meal the staff are so so nice I would really recommend this place.

Myself and my friends from work started our night here last Saturday evening and I have to say the dining experience was exceptional. I had one of the best pad thais I've ever tried and my two friends had the nasigoreng. We were looked after promptly by the staff who were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Would highly recommend - we had a great night out starting in LANA, we went to Lanigans for one afterwards and then danced the night away in Left Bank. Will definitely be back soon.
