The perfect meal after a tour of the castle. The owner, Helen, was at the till and had a cheery disposition, more than happy to tell us about the home-made kombucha that they bottle in sterilized tomato sauce containers. €5.50 a bottle in green tea flavor and others. I recommend the Wellington, it's a flavor explosion for a great price. I wish I had asked for the recipe 😔 The lighting creates a fresh vibe, the cook is visible and all the bulk foods are laid out in Tupperware on a shelf next to the tables. The whole place has a feeling of a community kitchen or the house of your socially conscious friend. A faint mural adorns the walls. If I am ever back in Kilkenny I will come here first thing!

Best place in town for a vegan meal. Everything is freshly homemade by the owner who, by the way, was an excellent host, noce and kind. We had the soup of the day, two wraps and a slice of pizza each. Everything was amazing, and fastly served. We were sorry we did not have the time to stay more in the place, we were in a rush. Anyway, i highly recommend it to anyone interesse in a homemade meal in a truly comfortable place.

Myself and my partner drove out of our way to get here and we absolutely were not disappointed! The staff were amazingly friendly, the seitan special was delicious and the price was spot on. Couldn’t recommend it more!

The Cutting Vedge is delicious! Definitely recommend the burger and the soup, so absolutely fresh and flavorful. Also, don't miss the dessert! Everything is vegan and lots of great gluten-free options. Cannot recommend this place enough!

THE ONLY entirely vegan cafe in Kilkenny & decent food at that! Only thing I was disappointed about was that they had advertised these delicious looking organic, vegan, chocolate and date flapjacks 2 hours before i’d arrived (through Instagram) which I was quite looking forward to and was then told that the owner hadn’t arrived to the shop with them yet as she had made them at home. Otherwise, Thank you for the lovely breakfast and lunch today & cant forget to mention the kind service.

Delicious and healthy food!! Had the breakfast burrito and came back for lunch few hours later and had their goulash, homemade Kefir and maccaroon treats. Coffee/tea made with water that's filtered with Reverse Osmosis (fluoride-free!). Happy customer :-)

A lovely little place and so friendly. We only had tea an a couple of slices of cake but really enjoyed it. The staff were very busy yet attentive to everyone and made sure we got served quickly. Even though were not vegans we thought the cakes were delicious and it's a place i will definitely be visiting again soon. Will be taking my vegan daughter here when she visits next time. Thank you

Incredible place, went there today for the first had an amazing experience!!!! The food was delicious, I have allergies and they put so much effort into making me a meal that suited my needs. It was so healthy, the food there is gorgeous, vegans in town should be thrilled!!!! One of the best coffee too and I'm super picky. The service was lovely, i felt welcomed and wasn't ridiculed for my allergies as it sometimes happens in other places. Highly recommend it!!!!

I've been to Kilkenny more times than I can count and have struggled to find somewhere to eat each time. I was so happy when I saw this restaurant on Google maps, and was even more impressed when I arrived. I was expecting a vegetarian /vegan menu but was pleasently surprised when I saw that it was all vegan! There were a nice number of options on the menu and found everything to be very generously priced. I tried as much as I could from the menu (soup, pizza and nut roast salad box) and thought it was all fantastic

This place is awesome! We’d just arrived in Kilkenny after driving all day and set out to see if we could find anything vegan we could eat. To our delight, the Cutting Vedge was only a few steps from our hotel. Helen was extremely kind and welcoming and the food was delicious! We tried the millet burger and the nut loaf to split and they were both incredibly tasty. When my boyfriend checked my plate to eat my leftovers, as he usually does, I had eaten every bite! We’re only in Kilkenny for one night, but if we were staying longer, would likely be here every day. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Helen, for the conversation and amazing food.

Looked up veggie restaurants very last minute on arriving to Kilkenny and so delighted I found this fully vegan café! The atmosphere was really cosy. I ordered a breakfast burrito which was recommended by the lady who served me (who I think was the manager), a cappuccino and gooseberry crumble. The breakfast burrito was really delicious. I was offered chilli sauce or pesto on side but chose without. Will order with chilli next time as it would compliment the flavours of the burrito really nicely! The coffee was good and the crumble came warm with a side of coconut cream. The only thing I would say is the crumble seemed more like a flapjack and I didn't get too much gooseberry in it, but it was still really delicious all the same! The café also seems really eco conscious which is great and prices were extremely reasonable! It's super close to Kilkenny Castle and is well worth a visit! Will definitely be returning.

We came to Kilkenny from Cashel just to eat here with our 4 and 6yo children. As a traveling vegan family who is accustomed to very clean, plant-based foods, it was worth the detour from our itinerary! (Kilkenny Castle proved to be a hit, too.) We had lunch AND dinner here. This is what we ate: Oaty Berry Banana Smoothie Breakfast Burrito Nut Roast Wrap Vegetable puree soup (of the day) Americano Coffee Korma, served with veggie fried rice, roast potatoes, and green salad (this was the special of the day) Falafel Wrap Salad Plate (combo of prepared salads including pesto fusilli, carrot coconut slaw, beetroot, sesame noodles, bulgar couscous) Four desserts (two baked, two raw) We also ordered a second salad combo + a side of hummus to take home for the next day. The food was all very fresh, very nutritious, and very tasty. My 6yo loved the Korma and the Nut Roast wrap. My 4yo loved the hummus. My husband and I loved it all. 😉 Helen, the owner, was very kind and took excellent care of us. This is a special place, and a rare find outside of Dublin. For those looking for a really clean meal that will leave you feeling fabulous, you must try The Cutting Vedge.

Amazing vegan place in Kilkenny! I've been traveling through Ireland and trying a lot of vegan restaurant. The Cutting Vedge is far and away THE BEST. The food manages to be simple, delicate and beautiful all in the same time. Everything is homemade, every dough, every cake, every juice, every sauce. In one salad box you get a million of different tastes. So much work done! But it's worth it. If you have the chance to visit Kilkenny, vegan or not, try this place! Thank you!!

It was so good! Me and my friend were there in September and the food was delicious. I wish I had a place like this in my country! As Non native English speakers it was sometimes difficult for us to figure out some ingredients lol, but the ladies there were super kind and took their time to explain everything. Plus! While we were eating we saw all the fresh vegetables being delivered so you won’t be disappointed. Next time I visit Kilkenny I won’t hesitate eating here again. If you visit Kilkenny with one of those bus tours make sure you stop at this place! It’s super close to the Kilkenny castle and, believe me, you will have plenty of time to enjoy your meal 😊
