A. P.Very tasty food & lively atmosphere on a Saturday night. Ordered the crispy onion burger and of course their signature chicken wings. Cocktails were a little too sweet but overall great spot for a large group.

G.Very friendly service. Upstairs is nice and well presented. I was recommended the chicken wings in a firey 🔥 sauce. The sauce was medium heat and very salty and smothered the wings. However they tasted deep fried with a toughness to the flesh and probably over cooked at high temperatures by the chef, making the finger food more challenging to consume. This may be a personal preference of mine as I consume chicken wings on a regular basis and only choose succulent air fried wings and do not consume any deep fried foods like many people now as it has less health benefits. If I where ordering these again I would ask that they be air fried with a sauce to the side. Also as opposed to having only a written menu, pictures of the dish would have shown the serving style. Pictures are important as you can see at Wagamama or other Asian restaurants and help make an informed choice. Especially if your not a local and do not know the dish. Overall great friendly service and I would return to sample more of the menu. Hopefully with pictures next time. Recommended: good service 👌
E. S.Lovely restaurant in maynooth. Difficult to say whether it is better than the many other restaurants in the town. Staff are very nice and friendly when I went in October 2021. The chicken wings are a must if you go there. Probably the best place to get wings in maynooth!
R. F.Risotto was so-so and very expensive, plus the mushrooms were almost inedibly tough. My friend had the salmon and didn't finish it because the whole dish was soaked in oil.
The chocolate orange dessert was very tasty, which was really the one positive foodwise. The staff was very nice though, no faults there.

S. R.Allowing for the current covid outdoor circumstances, the service can only be rated as top notch. We had a party of 6 with 2 kids with us. Food was excellent and staff couldn't do enough to help, nothing was too much, they did their very best with umbrellas to provide shade and adjustments seats as the sun moved. We really enjoyed our visit.

Our meal was very nice meal in The Avenue and staff pleasant but please do a good clean up .

F. O.Three stars because we had a great night out but could be two. This is my fourth time in the Avenue in as many years and the establishment looks great with a recent extension that increases the space nicely. Well staffed and very pleasant however waiting over twenty minutes to get an initial drinks order in was a stretch at an early bird sitting another fifteen or more to get the drinks delivered and the big surprise was a monster slush puppy version of a strawberry daiquiri, which the bar person kindly split into two now quite weak sloppy cocktails. Beer could not be messed up but G&T was a basic presentation in a very warm glass. Brie starters were excellent as were the chicken wings much praised locally and lived up to the reputation on this. Mains were a mixed bag, lamb shank pretty good again presented a bit sloppy, Dover Sole was overcooked, swimming in butter and very noticeably over seasoned a beautiful fish that should have been perfect also literally plastered in capers. The real mishap was the risotto undercooked beyond el’dente sludge like. We skipped the desserts enjoyed a few drinks and shrugged it off sitting under an AC unit that was on full tropical heat setting and despite the best efforts of the servers couldn’t seem to be adjusted. To sum it up it’s Christmas and we are still coming out of Covid but when you are paying full tilt prices (my main was 36 euro) a better version of what we were served should have been possible.

B. O.Lovely place, I actually love the Avenue restaurant. But I was in the restaurant with my Girlfriend on a date. Eating our dinner (chicken wings) both of us. The waiter came over took the food from under me even though I wasnt finished and got annoyed when both of us wanted to order desert!
That would be the only bad experience I had!
The chicken wing are very very nice I have to say.i just felt like I was been pushed to leave the table. I was giving a tip also but the waiter kept ignoring me. And came across very ignorant.

My wife had an incident where the overcooked her steak (it could happen anywhere) but the way they dealt with the complaint, I have to say was brilliant. They took orders from the first 10 and before serving this they took orders from the next group so as a result the food came out freshly cooked and delicious. D. O. C.Lovely restaurant for a nice meal in the evening. Wings are incredible. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection and was delicious, pepper sauce needs more spice though. The tiramisu and profiteroles are incredible also. Lovely cocktail menu too with a deal for 2 mojitos.

The description in the meniu says that the steak should be 30 days we'll oxigenated and then bbq'd on high heat trapping the juice's...
