We had a lovely evening last night in Nico's. Starters and main courses were fabulous particularly the Monk Fish and slow cooked beef. The prawn noodles were so tasty... A tad more stylish and upmarket than most places in Schull. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious. The terrace has a Mediterranean feel and is beautiful at night time. Also they're dog friendly!

Nico's has a gorgeous Mediterranean feel, both the food and the large shady courtyard. It's a great place for a special occasion or a treat. Lots of local fish dominate the menu as well as lighter salad options and generous sharing boards. While walk-in tables are generally available at lunch you will need a reservation for dinner.

Great place, great service.However in the evening, our table was too dark and we couldn't see what we were eating even though we had candles. Five stars if you can resolve the light issue of some of the tables.

Stopped in with my girlfriend while on holidays in West Cork. Bit of a gold find ! A small menu but great food. The restaurant is not completely built yet but a garden area is open. The garden is really nice, bright area, good planting. I had monkfish and my girlfriend had crab, both delicious. Cheesecake for desert. Service was very good, and it was good value for money. Really happy to have found a lovely place to eat like this and hope it does well !
