J. C.If your in Sligo you cannot leave it until you eat at Davis Restaurant.. Everything from start to finish was just wow... From the service, to the cleanliness to the decor just fab.. My husband had the fillet steak and it was tasty and tender and I had the steak sandwich.. It was so light and tasty.. Cannot fault this place at all only really recommend you try it..
S. V.One of the best restaurants in Sligo area. The food is delicious and restaurant is maintained very well. They have a large space for parking. The employees are very friendly and caring. It is recommended to do the reservation before you go there. You will have to show the Covid certificate to get into the restaurant. I reccomend this place.

Fabulous modern, but cozy venue with plenty of parking. Clean spacious bathrooms on entrance. Most friendly welcoming staff members.
Food is delicious, portions are big - You won't leave hungry. I had tempura prawns, and the batter was light and crispy, just perfect.
Seafood mains looked delicious. Wide variety in menu. First time to see chicken Maryland served right, with the pineapple & fritter.
Didn't get desserts as I was so full, but had a lovely menu.
Highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were reasonable too. 5 stars all around!
Y. W.Fantastic food, we went with 2 kids and everything was gorgeous. Burgers were juicy and tasty, I had battered cod and chips which was really light and fresh. Deserts we had New York cheesecake, lovely, but the real hit was the chocolate fudge cake kids couldn't get enough of it. Staff super friendly, top class restaurant.

R. S.Arrived at 8.05pm on Wednesday to find out they stopped serving food at 8pm. The waitress was kind enough to offer me a choice of a curry or chicken and chips dish and I chose the latter but the chips were rock hard and the chicken wasn't great. Im leaving the 3 stars just based on the food served.

Food was well presented with great portion size and well cooked - my partner throughly enjoyed his cod and agreed that there was an excellent array of seafood on the menu.
Staff were friendly and I would especially commend Josephine as she was on point with a welcoming and friendly approach to customer care.

P. s.We have been going here for 20+ years and the standard of food and service is still first class. Great menu and drinks selection to suit all ages and budgets. The restaurant is lovely with good access and facilities for all. Free wifi and onsite parking. Because it is so good its advisable to book ahead, especially at peak times - thurs - sat evenings and all day sunday. But to be honest even if you dont book ahead, if you do have to wait for a table - you will not be disappointed - it is well worth it!..... check out the fish tank in the entrance hall...Davis' is a must for anyone passing - locals and visitors - you will not be disappointed!

M. D.This restaurant never disappoints! I have come to this restaurant with my family any time we wanted a reliable, satisfying meal. The meat is consistently cooked to my liking, the portions are a good size for the price and the venue is stunning! The toilets are kept clean and there are more than enough to never be kept waiting. The only tiny complaint I have is, it could have some more vegetarian options for our veggie friends! Apart from that, this place gets a solid five stars from me for its food that leaves you feeling content.

L.The pub at the back has some beautiful paintings of the local area by the owner, and photos of Yeats and the people close to him during different period of his life, like a mini exhibitions of Yeats. The restaurant closer to the front has modern deco, with lots of natural light from the many roof lights. Came here once for lunch and once for dinner. Both time the food is excellent. Lots of parking spaces at the front, not too far from Yeats’ grave. If you like Yeats and Sligo you are going to like this place, especially the pub area.

Friendly,helpful, and unobtrusive staff .We had a thai chicken curry and a cod gratin served with a most delicious garlic and cheese potatoes, profriteroles and an amazing bread and butter pudding, a sparkling water, a gin and tonic and a coffee . Cost ? 61 euros I kid you not we have already booked a table for Saturday evening......

Seems to be plenty of staff too. We had Stan as our waiter. He was excellent. This is a top class restaurant and I highly recommend it. Don't be put off by all the cars outside, it's just a sign how good it is!

D. 1.Food is always very good. They did allow people to come in who were not wearing masks though. Also online it does not state that the value menu is only for a party of 6 upwards. 4 of us didn't qualify for it according to the waitress. A little disappointing!!

Covid precautions were very apparent at the collection point. Great food and great value for money. Pretty much all of the packaging is compostable.

H. F.We got a lovely sandwich here at lunchtime on a very wet, miserable day after walking Mullaghmore head. I really enjoyed it but why, oh why do they give you a miserable little pot of tea??? The pot contained just enough to fill 2 small teacups, no more, & when we asked for more tea, the pot was refilled with no extra teabags. This is Ireland - a nation of great tea drinkers, so this was a massive boo boo as far as I'm concerned 😟

A.I understand there are restrictions in place, with no inside seating, no seating outside, but tou can either go in and order and staff will either bring food to your car or you can call back in, it takes up to 20-30mins for order, food was okay under the circumstances

J. B.After scouting Sligo town looking for a restaurant that was up to speed on food allergies and failing miserably Davis’ restaurant was recommended to us. Just a short drive out of town we were not disappointed, the menu was clearly outlined and staff up to speed on people’s requirements. This makes it so much easier for us to chose a restaurant as so many times we have had to leave after sitting down as it was apparent the restaurant staff had no idea as to dietary requirements.
We had a starter and mains, Prawn Cocktail, Fishcakes, Roast Beef and roast chicken plus the trimmings. Food was great and portions perfect. No desert this time. There was a great choice on the menu
This was good valve for money and the staff and service was first class with attention to providing a good customer experience evident as genuine by the staff and not just staff going through the motions. Will visit again next time we are in the area.

Staff excellent just a shame you can't make a card payment at your table.

L.Always enjoyed our visits here but have not been for several years..Was concerned to see a very busy car park and not surprised that there would be a wait of up to ten minutes but it proved to be only some two minutes before we were given a table and speedy service from a lovely waitress who was attentive and made good recommendations from an extensive inexpensive menu..We passed on starters and we're then given some lovely free wheaten bread to keep us occupied till our mains arrived..I had a beef stir fry while my partner chose a chicken dish with goats cheese..we both enjoyed our choices...We intended to make do with mains but sight of lovely desserts carried past led us astray ...A meringue nest with cream and fruit coulis fir me and a fruit crumble fir my partner soon disappeared..Overall a lovely meal in a great restaurant with slick professional but attentive serving staff..

A. M.Probably my favourite restaurant in Ireland. Make my way from Dublin to Sligo every year mainly to eat here. Food is excellent. Staff are brilliant. The restaurant and facilities are always immaculate.

T.Disappointing. The building itself, setting and staff are all great, but the food is very normal and lack luster.
I had duck spring rolls starter, which was ok but 1 of the rolls was just vegetable and the other duck, and both had a sort of curry paste painted on the inside which just didn't work. Hoi Sin would have worked so much better. The chutney dip was very nice though.
For main i had pan fried salmon with lemon sauce. The sauce had zero taste of lemon. The salmon was skinless and the exterior only lightly fried and the side of vegetables were overcooked and dry.
I would expect a crispy skinned, seasoned fillet of salmon with some zesty lemon garnish possibly with some herb to carry and hold the lemon taste. What i got just a yellow coloured corn flour thickened water with a single shaving of lemon zest.
I doubt the menu changes much as the appeal seems to be towards an older crowd who come back time and time again it seems
