E. M.Lovely restaurant. The menu has a really nice selection to choose from and given the quality of the food and cooking the prices are very reasonable. The food was presented beautifully, portion sizes generous and our starters and mains were so delicious - a great balance of flavours. Staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. The wine list had a good selection of French wines by the glass, half bottle or bottle. This restaurant will be top of my list when I return to Sligo again.

D. X.Montmartre is a restaurant which serves french dishes in sligo. Upon entering the restaurant it has a lovely decor. we were seated in a nice booth by the window. The menu was extensive and had many dishes that caught my eye such as foie gras terrine and lobster ravioli.

The chocolate whisky cheese cake was also good, but I thought the creme brulee was better. Overall the experience was great!

L. C.I've been here a couple of times now and it never disappoints. The staff are always friendly and helpful with suggestions with the food and wine. You are never rushed and the atmosphere is relaxing. The food is amazing and never disappoints. Fresh and tasty and good portions. Fine dining at its best. They have a lovely selection of wines too something for everyone. I always find this place a realy treat and look forward to going back. Would highly recommend
T. C.Lovely food and fine wine. Very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant had a lovely meal and a lovely bottle of wine. The staff are extremely professional and friendly and all this for a reasonable price around €60 per head. The only criticism I would have is oh my god they keep you waiting between courses. Normal meal takes about 2 hours give or take but here 3 hours plus. All said and one I enjoyed this restaurant and it has good parking beside it.

There is no problem for anyone with special dietary needs including Gluten & dairy free options. The ambience is relaxed & you never feel under any pressure to hurry. It is my favourite restaurant to visit in Sligo.
E. g. 5. D.Understand there is a wait for orders to be taken but would have liked to have chance to order a drink while studying the menu, we were sat 35 mins before receiving a drink. Starters all very nice. Ordered the Irish fillet for main asked for medium but it arrived well done which was a shame as the cut of meat was high quality it had just been over cooked, I would of mentioned this at the time but throughout the meal 2.5 hours we were never asked if everything was ok once, shame as was real looking forward to visiting this restaurant

B. B.I had the opportunity to have dinner at Montmartre on a summer evening with my girlfriend and her extended family when we were traveling Ireland and I can truly say it went above my expectations for what I thought I would be eating in Sligo.
The hot smoked salmon starter was incredibly good, and I fear that there has been a void in my culinary life since I haven't been able to have it. The grilled goat cheese was heavy but also super tasty. For mains, the pork filet was superbly cooked and the monkfish was equally as good. Everything was portioned well, with the starters having a fairly large serving, but I'm certainly not complaining.
The service was very friendly, the wine selection for the evening wasn't exactly to my taste, but judging from the explaination there was quite a bit of thought put into the pairings; so I could certainly appreciate their offering.
Would go back in a heartbeat if I were anywhere near Sligo again.

B. B.Pros: nice staff, really great food on main courses, nicely served, quite quickly. Tender venison and hake surrounded as interesting composition.
Cons: selection of bread served while waiting is poor, I'd expect something more than two pieces of ordinary bread. Butter frozen hard to spread.
