The Atlantic Prawns and mussels starter is a must!! Great portion size on all starters along with the pork belly in Jack Daniels sauce. Great service aswell. Highly recommended 💯👌

Was driving home to Cork from Dublin and googled restaurants in Thurles. So we decided to give this restaurant a try. What a beautiful restaurant. Spotless clean. Beautiful decor and friendly staff. My husband & young son had the steak and I had the fish & chips. All the food was fabulous. We all had dessert (decided to treat ourselves) myself and my husband had the brownie & our son had ice cream again this was scrumptious & beautifully presented. This is a little gem of a restaurant. We highly recommend if you are in Thurles.

Incredibly delicious food! From my point of view the fish was so fresh that maybe it was caught that day. Everything was really fresh and tasty including the fries, the mushy peas, and the sauce. The brownie also maintained the standards high.

Great restaurant, beautiful bar and atmosphere! Had the Early Bird menu and had to go for the Steak on the Stone ! Absolutely fantastic and would highly recommend the experience!! Overall great service, ambience and most importantly food. Tip: Go for the Chocolate Bomb from the dessert menu

The Menu didn’t give the greatest variety in food. For the first time ever whilst coming here, I’ve had a mediocre experience. Usually Mitchel House is beyond outstanding barre 1 or 2 occasions, including this time. While the food might not have been on point this time round, the staff and overall decor of the restaurant create a very relaxing atmosphere and ensure a pleasant time. Mitchel House is definitely in contention for Thurles’ top restaurant. I *still* highly recommend going there.
