We were so impressed with the service and food thst we intend to go again. The restaurant has a lovely homely feel and the fresh pizza is to die for. I totally recommend this authentic Italian restaurant to anyone loving fresh Italian food. Please see the photos that I have attached to this post.

R. S.It was so good I forgot to take a picture! We got some cream sauce raviolis, lasagna & a salami and ricotta pizza. All were amazing and better than expected. This was better than many italian takeaways I’ve had in London! I can’t wait to eat here again.

S. b.Love la locandina, the owners super and the foods delicious. Food excatly like I imagine you would get from your Italian granny if you had one, generous portions of amazing Italian cuisine.
They also have a speak Italian night where you bring your own wine and get a chance to speak Italian ( with help from the owners and others with various levels of ability with the language) which is a great idea for the local community!

M. D.Went there for my birthday. Had a great night there. Staff were amazing, food was great. Had pasta dish - was lovely, ate all of it. Starter was great - the bread was beautiful and the cheese well!!. Atmosphere was very casual but soooo friendly, allowed to BYO which was great. Limited choice, but dont have to read reams and reams - but again food is really good and fresh.
Only drawback - was told by other couple there that it can be cold in winter - but layering clothes was their answer and it didnt stop them travelling from Dublin again and again. Only dropped a star due to this.
C. M.My friends and I went for a dinner. We were a group of four. The resto is owned by a nice Italian couple. It has a homely atmosphere and not too crowded. The resto served authentic Italian food. The food arrived in just few minutes after we order and was delicious , not to mention was served in a heavenly big portion! We really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely come back soon! Don't miss it if ever you'll be in Wicklow centre.
A. W.Me and my wife went here last night and had an amazing time and REAL authentic Italian food. It was like we stepped back to our honeymoon in Italy. We loved the cosiness of the converted house and the atmosphere was great. The food is wow. And I'm a very big eater. I had the calamari for starters and it was cooked to perfection. Many times I have had it in other restaurants and it a either over or under cooked which makes it rubbery. But not here - it was so soft and broke easily in the mouth and the outer coatings of the rings where fluffy with a tiny crunch. Soo sooo nice each mouthful was amazing and best of all it was a good portion. I didn't leave a bit. My wife had the bruschetta with salad and she said it all tasted so light and fresh - also a very generous portion. We both had the special which was tortelli with ham & vegetables in a creamy saffron sauce. It was delicious - full of flavour and substance. I had the tiramisu and my wife had the chocolate cake with liquer (I forget the Italian name) but both of them were amazing in their own ways (we tried each other's desserts). The tirimasu wasn't too strong in flavour so it's ideal for non coffee drinkers and kids too! The cake was rich but not sickly at all. Just right. I'd advise everyone to experience the restaurant at least once in your life - you won't regret it!!

S. C.(Translated) I am Italian and therefore I will do an Italian review at the restaurant that represents the Mediterranean culture in Wicklow. There are native dishes from the Bel Paese and more innovative dishes with Irish influences. The cuisine is excellent and the restaurant maintains the premise of Italianness. The prices are normal but the gem can be found at the end with the Italian espresso.

Ci sono piatti natali del Bel Paese e piatti più innovativi con influenze irlandesi. La cucina è ottima e il locale mantiene la premessa dell'italianità.
