M. S.We are a family of 5 with 3 kids aged 8, 12 and 14. We had planned on doing one intro surfing lesson but Dan and Jude made it such fun and managed to get all of us standing and feeling the joy of surfing, so we booked a second.
I felt it was really safe as the instructions were really clear and the fact that there were two instructors to the 5 of us meant that there were eyes on us at all times.
The second lesson was even better with each of us feeling we were improving.
I couldn’t recommend the experience highly enough, everything from the booking process, the staff in the shop, the dry wetsuits, the beautiful beaches and the amazing instructors came together to make it an amazing experience.
We are already talking about a return visit.

Just back from the week long surf experience course and now even more impressed with Narosa and their approach. From this week it's clear how much thought and effort has gone into the school, it's ethos and location.
Through Duncan's incredible local knowledge we went to different beaches (Falcarragh, Tramore, Marble Hill) everyday to maximise our exposure to the best conditions. Duncan was an amazing instructor. He broke down all aspects of surfing (surf forecasting, beach assessment, board selection, peak positioning, paddle speed etc.) and we worked on all of these, with huge improvements seen through the week by everyone in the group. The ethos was very much about maximising time in the water and in 7 days we had 11 sessions, missing only one day when a storm passed through. We also had some great off the water sessions including video feedback and a surf-skate session to help with an open stance and power control between the feet. The social aspects were also great with a great group of like minded surfers and plenty of dinners out. All in all, an absolutely brilliant week and highly recommended for any surfer looking to improve.

K. M.My kids done 2 of the surf lessons here for the first time this summer and the experience was amazing from start to finish!! They are 12 and 13 years old and the surf lessons were perfect for their age group. We found the staff in the shop and instructors on the beach extremely pleasant and helpful. We will definitely go again!!
A. K.Our first experience surfing was fantastic! All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The instructors were great and helped us all have a wonderful time. We are 100% doing this again next time we’re up in Fun-fanaghy! Shout out to Dave. The guy’s an absolute star. Didn’t catch the second instructor’s name but he was also a class act. Teaching was clear and the support in the water was just what we needed to get the basics down and have a super time. The gear was great. Wet suits that kept us nice and warm and boards we actually got standing up on! The whole thing was brilliant! Legends the lot of you! (And it cured my hangover better than a Bloody Mary).
S. M.This was our 2nd time of doing a family surf lesson. So much fun and all 6 of us had the best time. Dylan and Abbey were amazing instructors and brilliant with young and not so young ones. We all stood up on the board. It's an amazing way to spend an afternoon and couldn't recommend it enough. Definitely will be booking again the next time we are near Dunfanaghy.
H. M.We had such a great surf lesson this weekend with Narosa at Marble Hill beach. The whole preparation process, from checking in to wetsuit fitting, was super quick and easy . Everything ran to schedule and we met Adam, who made sure we were kitted out, and our instructor Dan, at the beach before the lesson officially began. We were all newbies, so Dan ran us through the basics with the board on solid ground before heading for the water. He was so energetic, encouraging and helpful throughout the whole lesson, and we genuinely had so much fun. Some of us mastered it quicker than others (me being a little slower on the uptake ), but Dan was always on hand with some tips and adjustments to get us all on our feet before long. Would really recommend the lesson to all, it was such a great experience and we will defo be back . (and their wetsuits keep you really toasty which is a major bonus). :)
J. D.They guys and gals are doing a great job at the surf school. Looks like they are top instructors and a perfect shop to hit if you are looking to hire a soft top or get a lesson. However, the shop doesn't really cater for more advanced surfers. I came over to visit my grandpa and the airline wouldn't take my board. I usually ride a 25L shortboard and the closest Narosa had to that was a 50L foamy. Take note if you are looking to rent a step up or shortboard.
D. M.We booked a 2 hour surf lesson for myself and 3 children. They said it was the best thing they had done on our 2 week holiday. The instructors were great fun and really good with the children. Highly recommend.

A. G.great afternoon learning to balance on a paddle board, in an idyllic corner of donegal. The area we were in was close enough to the pier and shore to feel safe while also offering the chance to look into nearby caves in the bay. Would highly recommend!
