If you are visiting Bantry this has to be top of your list. Booked the Marine Wildlife Tour. 3 hour trip off Bantry Bay. My son who is mad about birdwatching was given binoculars and a birdwatching book at the start which was a really nice touch. Brian and Charlie were great craic and full of knowledge. Saw Gannets diving for fish and Guillemots to mention a few, which we'd never seen before. Saw baby seals and dolphins which was amazing. Learned a lot of the history of Bantry and my son got to steer the boat. Also did a spot of fishing and a passenger caught mackerel which the kids loved. My son got to handle a spider crab and learned about the lobster. Overall this was a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend it! (On a sidenote, the email correspondence was excellent as I had lots of queries approaching my trip and was well looked after😊)

We went on a sunset tour with Captain Darren yesterday! (27/06) It was absolutely amazing. Really knowledgeable guide and the views were stunning. We also learned about a two timing eagle and the French armada. And to tip it off, a spot of fishing. All in all I would highly recommend the Bantry bay charter company and the sunset tour in particular and the prices are amazing too! Ps, photos really do not do the views justice

Went diving with my daughter with instructors Brian and Jerry. Was a truly amazing experience. Apart from being very professional, they were very patient, informative and also kind. We saw loads of crabs, a cuttlefish, periwinkles, starfish, razor clam and loads more. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone

Fantastic 3 hour fishing & wildlife tour around from Glengarriff bay, out as far asAdrigole. Very knowledgeable & energetic guide. Very professional & safety conscious boat. Saw seals, hawks & dolphins on trip. I would highly recommend.

We had an amzing time today in the Marine Wildlife tour. The guides were excellent and they prepared the mackerel that we fished for us to taste. Very friendly and professional. We saw lots of seals and birds.

I booked the wildlife tour, Sea angling, and the sunset cruise for my family. We had the absolute best time with BB Charters. Darren and Brian were excellent guides and great with our 2 children. We learned a lot about the history of the area as well as the sea life. Sharon was brilliant advising us what to bring to make sure we were prepared for all of our trips. We had the family day trip out with Bantry Charters the boat times very prompt had super few hours out on the bay great history on the area from Niall our skipper saw some great sea life up close bit of fishing great fun and a lovely tourist trip not to be missed out of Glengarriff and Bantry

We had a most enjoyable and informative trip with Darren during our stay in Glengarriff. He shared his local knowledge of the area and went out of his way to make our journey a memorable one. From sea eagles, cormorants and gannets to the rewilding of jetties at Whiddy Island to nursery pods of dolphins and languid seals this was a winderful experience. We learnt a lot about sustainable fishing and native species. Would highly recommend.

We took the 3 hr fishing & wildlife afternoon charter with our young teenagers & their friends. Nine of us in total & we had plenty of room on the Deep Star (28/07/2020). The crew are extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They were also great fun! This is a FANTASTIC day out - We saw dolphins, porpoises, seals and even the sea eagles & we all caught lots of fish. Darren's freshly cooked mackerel caught while on the boat was a special treat. Darren & Brian were great with our enthusiastic fishermen & kept them engaged the whole trip - even took the time to show them how to clean & prepare the fish for cooking. Super day out for all the family and everyone caught plenty of fish. Highly recommend. We all loved it and can't wait to do it again sometime soon.

Went on a boat trip for my birthday, the people are lovely and gave to me and my girlfriend a warm welcome. A taste of freedom and a very nice tour speaking about the history and the animals of the place. I recommend 👌 Thank you again guys !

We had the most amazing day out with Darren this week. We were so lucky in that it was just us that slot. He was super with our kids, so knowledgeable about the area and made the day so fun. My 6yr old told him he really wanted to fish for the first time and catch a mackeral and Darren delivered in spades he made it so special for him and was so patient teaching him what to do. Absolutely amazing experience everyone needs to do it

Joined the marine wildlife tour this morning with our two kids and absolutely loved it. The guys were incredibly knowledgable, patient, and great with a group of passengers of all generations. At one slower point they whipped out a couple play fishing toys for the youngest kids, and answered every question our inquisitive 5yo had. Highly, highly recommend!!!

We recently had our staff party with Bantry Bay Charters, what a fab evening! Brian and Darren really went out of their way to make the evening an adventure for everyone. We got to see loads of wildlife, do a bit of fishing, get in a swim and snorkel and even have a bit of a BBQ on board. Can’t recommend Bantry Bay Charters enough!

Another wonderful afternoon of fishing with Niall and Bantry Bay Charters. 2nd year in a row we have booked to do the mackerel fishing while staying in Glengarriff. Our two young boys loved the experience and Niall was very informative on his knowledge from local sights to the wildlife and fish in the area. His engagement with everyone was excellent and witty. The boat and tackle was very clean and in good working order and we were able to take our small dog on the boat with us which made for a great family day out.
