The place is a good addition. Lovely lakeside terrace, nice walks. Really enjoyed the pedalo for an hour. Small play ground fine for littles ones. Climbing wall booked out. But We planned go for brunch or lunch but Nowhere on the website did it say no indoor dining nor food menu gone completely and couldn't even get a waffle as they were not doing them on Tuesday? Only a coffee available. Very misleading and very disappointing. Update your site. Bad form.

Pedalo paddle boat on lake was a lot of fun and provided a good work out for the legs. Cost €15 per boat for up to 4 people. The plastic rock climbing activity was waaay over priced at €15 per person, so we gave that a wide berth. Snacks available to enjoy in outdoor seating area. Toilets inside ticket centre for both abled and disabled people. Ample parking. Park closed at 5pm on Thursday 15th July 2021.

Today I visited the waffle dock at Tralee bay wetlands and I’m delighted I did !! I got the “Strawberry Shortcake” waffle and my mom got the “Banoffee” waffle and they were really delicious!! They do a great selection of treats so definitely worth the visit 😋 We then went for a walk around the lake to see the baby swans 🦢 Lovely walkway and really kept clean 🧽 Highly recommend everyone visit sometime ‼️

Great for kids. 15e for trip on pedalo around the pond for 30 minutes . The pond is very small you would be around it 10 times in that time but kids enjoyed it which was main thing. Climbing wall is worth the time.

Absolutely fun, at 73 years old I climbed one of the 'easier' climbing routes and got a great sense of achievement. Highly recommended

A place to be visited! If you are expecting to find Disneyland this is not your place, but If you are around and want to have a good day out with the children this is the place to go to. Enjoy the day on the paddle boats and sail your way around the small lake. Stop for a while at the coffee shop and recharge your batteries while the children enjoy at the small playing grounds. They may want to have another go on the boats, so better have a piece of cake with the coffee. If you are more of a climber this is your place too as you can practice on the artificial climbing walls. Ring in advance as it may be booked for some "professional" (experienced) climber's practice. Fancy a relaxed walk and love quite environments?, do not miss the flooded area and take the challenge of spoting the suggested collection of birds, plants and bugs provided. In case you are only able to spot two swans and four ducks, as in our case, you can always go around the tall tower and try to identify the aromatic plants in the area, the collection of berry plants, the apple, pear and other fruit trees or explore the little orchards maintained by Alan, were vegetables and herbs are grown. I challenge you to find the potatoes, tomatoes, rhubarb, peas, pumpkins, onions and others delicacies cultivated there along with the lavender, thymus, rosemary, origanum and others aromatic plants that you may, or may not, be able to spot. But overall, whatever you fancy to do, go there and enjoy the company of the most helpful and charming staff that you will surely find anywhere. If you don't, you will be sorry. I am definitely coming back with the children as soon as we can.

Fun day out with the family whether its for a walk or a climb on the rock wall, there's everything from fish to wild life and fun for all ages, plus the paddle boats and zorb ball are excellent fun also.

Nice place, there's a small playground for the little ones which had minimal features but the kids love it. The food is great (since ballyseedy garden center took over) but expensive. Where the wetlands really shines is their wildlife demonstrations, pond dipping etc.

Beautiful location and wonderful for young children to experience the wetlands and ducks. Our kids got a great tour from Ciara who was very good with them, explaining everything and making nature so interesting for them.

Plagued by wasps. Breakfast was OK but had much nicer in other cafes. Dogs only allowed outside (leading to wasp attack).

It's a very interesting place. We saw Reed Bunting in the reeds. It's also a great place for a walk around the lake. It has a good coffee ☕️ shop.

What an amazing place! The diversity of wildlife is great, lots of gulls, singing birds, dragonfly’s and damselflies. The flora is fantastic too! A big information centre with the most wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Their depth of knowledge is super helpful too. They run different events, have plenty to occupy and excite the kids, and hopefully get them asking questions and becoming passionate about the biodiversity on show in the wetlands. A place to visit wether young or old, local or tourist. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

The witches broom workshop was great fun. Thomas was very patient with children and adults alike and took good care of everyone. He was helping out where he was needed and got never tired to give advice and lend a hand. Great event 😃
