Our much loved Flatcoated Retriever was referred with a spinal injury. The senior partner Laura stayed late to receive him, scanned him out of hours that evening and then returned on her day off to operate. That says everything. Truly committed to giving the best service for owners and loved pets. Wonderful team of experts under this well equipped roof. Thank you all, especially from Moby who is recovering well.

Last year we needed Veterinary Specialist Ireland’s services twice for my dog’s knee surgeries and I have to say that the second time around it wasn’t half as scary, as we had such a great experience before. Everyone from the receptionists to the nurses to the surgeon have always been kind, understanding and altogether amazing towards us. The first time around I was terrified by the idea of my beloved dog undergoing surgery but when the problem presented to the other knee I had no doubts and I asked myself to my vet for a referral to come back here. I hope to never need their services again (lol) but if my dog will ever need specialist care I have to doubts where to go. Can’t recommend them enough!

We had been referred by our vet when our dog Buddy had been left in pain for 48 hours by another A&E department, we arrived in a sleep deprived panic and were instantly supported and reassured by the owner. Within a matter of hours Buddy had a MRI and essential Spinal surgery to remove a ruptured disk. We had regular updates and a phone call from the surgeon herself post op to let us know how well it went. He’s making a amazing recovery and already had use of his back legs again after 7-10 days when it can take 6-12 weeks! Life savers!

Brought our Golden Retriever for surgery after she ruined her crutiate ligament. Staff were lovely and the surgery was a complete success. 6 weeks after surgery she was reviewed and progress has been very good. Couldn't have asked for better service. We did not have insurance so it was expensive, but not as much as we were expecting. The surgeon met with us both after surgery and after her review appointment and explained all thoroughly. Answered all questions we had and left us feeling confident and informed. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone. The facility and location is amazing also.

Quite happy with care given More places like that needed in Ireland so that there is less travel for those of us a distance away.I would certainly recommend this place to anyone who has a dog with spinal problems,I found the surgeon excellent.He has gifted hands.

Our poor Biggie had an accident and badly damaged his neck. The team at Veterinary Specialists Ireland told us to bring him straight down. The team performed a CT as soon as he was admitted followed by an emergency surgery. They kept us informed with phone calls throughout this. The staff are so professional and we felt so reassured after speaking to them. They have saved Biggies life today and we are so so grateful for this. Thank you so much to all the staff, we can't put into words how grateful we are ❤❤.

Laura , Stephen and the rest of the staff have been nothing but professional, kind and patient whilst treating dougal , from his diagnosis of hip dysplasia, to his humeral condyl fissure and humeral fracture , to his bone infection. It has been a very stressful , upsetting few months, but having vets you can trust means the world. Hopefully he will continue to heal and will be ready for a hip replacement in the new year. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. Thank you all .

Fantastic considering covid stopped me going in with my dog I felt safe leaving her staff very friendly and professional. The after care is also very good.I would definitely recommend this place if you love your dog as much as I do check them out it will definitely be worth your while and also I know it's not about money but it was not as expensive as I thought.I am delighted with my dogs progress after her major operation. They care about your dogs welfare which is important . I can not Thank you all for all the help you gave bella she is on the mend and doing great x x 10 out of 10

After being back and forth to our own vet many times, we got a referral to the team at Veterinary Specialists Ireland, and was seen the very next day. With a full once over, within 10mins we knew what we were dealing with - with our Bichon. Thanks to Laura, Michelle and the rest of the team for helping us get to root cause of Harvey's pain. He is currently recovering but showing positive signs daily. We hope to be able to have him another few years. Thanks to the team for their professionalism and care shown to our little man.

Dobby was referred recently for a hip problem. Couldn't speak highly enough of how welcoming and caring the staff were even with covid restrictions. Very comfortable handing over our fur baby knowing they would look after him for the appointment. Diagnosis explained very clearly after with a detailed plan in place for the foreseeable future.

Thank you all so Much for looking after Toby. he is doing very well post surgery and we have arranged with Brittas Veterinary to have his staples removed next Monday. he is eating, drinking and has all his functions working well. his exercises are helping gain strength in his back legs and standing for short periods when assisted with the sling . his wound is healing well also . we hope when the staples are removed we can help him to walk again unassisted. but for now one week and two days post Surgery he is doing so well. we are very grateful to Joe , from Brittas Veterinary for reoffering us to your facility and your team and thank you so much for taking such good care of our little man .

What can I say about this place only that the staff took great care of my 11 and a half year old Staffordshire hooch when he had a problem bloating around his heart on Tuesday the 06/09/2021,the staff in this place are so so very nice and friendly ,very helpful and can't do enough for both you and your dog .I would tell anyone that has a problem with they pet to get in contact with them as I would give them 100/100 for both service and care of your pet .thank you for your help and all the best

Our 9 year old Jack Russell became paraplegic from a ruptured disc. Stephen at Veterinary Specialists operated to remove the material putting pressure on the spinal cord. It was a great success. We were very impressed by the care taken of our precious little guy at every stage, and the professionalism of the whole team, even though Covid and lockdown. We are so grateful and happy to have our little fellow back on all four legs.

We have received an excellent service from the team at Veterinary Specialists Ireland. Rua has just had her third visit to the clinic after she developed IMPA. She has been so well looked after by Dr Laura Cuddy (on her first visit) and Dr Stephen Martin on her last two visits and all of the team. The excellent care of Rua, empathy with besotted owners (!), professionalism and incredible detailed information on diagnosis and follow up care has been so much appreciated by us.
